You can't do two players at the same time; there is no split screen option. But, it is very easy to switch to another player in between exercises.

do you have to buy the normal wii fit plus before you can buy this or can you just buy this one and it will have all the original games and things aswell as new stuff?

If you purchase the wii fit now (balance board and all) it will come with the wii fit plus DVD which will have all the old wii fit games, plus the new ones as displayed in the video. If you have the balance board already, you can buy the new wii fit plus DVD for $20 and get all the old games and new games on the same DVD, making the old DVD useless.
