brill video U r so lucky I love the 777 does 777 200 come in all the time? I live in Glasgow and we always get the Emirates 777-300 flying in.

This film was made in 2006. In 2007, EK was using the 777-300 into BHX on the flights I took. In the past EK has also used the A320. If you look at the BHX airport on Googleearth you can see an EK A320 sitting at the end of the runway about to depart to the south!

i did my undergraduate in glasgow and on my return to india in the holidays, i would always fly the 777-300 ER to dubai and then a 777-200 to Mumbai. the triple 7 is my fav aircraft. currently, am in birmingham, will go back to India this Friday on the 777-300ER again. 777-2 comes in occassionally

Very nice. I work as a dispatcher at B'ham and regularly dispatch the Emirates EK40 & EK38...so watching your vid is actually like being back at work :0( Anyway good video, hope it went on time, always nice to see it from the "other side"

I just posted two new videos of last Sunday's flight from BHX to DXB, including the night landing at DXB. The second video is my onward flight to Manila, landing in Manila in a thunderstorm. Watch the spray on the runway as the pilot engages reverse thrust.

lol its a reali good vid, is it sommet like 7 hours to dubai from bhx, the boeing 777's are reali advanced aernt they, uve got all that onboard information and stuff, u in normal or first class, lol yer they say it interferes with the radios and stuff, i dont think it does to be honest, although i was gonna film my journey in a 757 from bhx lol i got told to turn my camera off lol :@:@

Thanks for the feedback. Never thought of the cmaera as an 'electronic device' and none of the cabin crew mentioned anything. Just completed another EK flight back to Dubai and Manila - posting those soon, with a nighttime landing in Dubai and a dramatic afternoon thunderstorm landing in Manila.

i love your video diveblanca. I live around 20 mins on train from BHX. Ive only flown from there once but it was a beautiful takeoff and a gud time to remember as it was the 1st time i went on a plane. I fly light aircraft now tho. thnx phantomsnipe

Thanks for the feedback and complementary comments. Flight was smooth all the way to Dubai. Then on the onward flight to Manila, we had to divert to Hyderabad for a medical emergency - heavy landing because too much fuel and over the 'official' landing weight; thunderstorms over Manila put us into a holding pattern for 30 min.

Off to Dubai and BHX on June 14. I hope the cyclone over Oman has dissipated by then!
