The Garopa & Funana are part of 2 Riu hotels married together. Which makes the complex v large. Despite the size it handles the mirrored hotels well.
You have two main restaurants & four themed eateries (which you'd have to book to get a table). Staff are extremely helpful. They have to deal with tourists from Portugal, Brits & Germans. This means that they have to cater for different needs, which they do well. The rooms are tidy & cleaned daily.The evening entertainment is defo worth watching.
@gogle9739 I've never been at Riu Cancun, but I've been in Riu Funana and it's great. The hotel it's fantastic but waht impressed me the most were the people they're always smiling, they're very nice. I was already there and I had the chance I would go again to Cape Island!
dnt listen to what ppl say i just got bk from there well funana anyway. u can go out at night cuz they do a show everynight ethier at the main stage or at the barracuda bar in garopa and if u r in garopa to get to the beach u have to walk through funana. there is 1 problem though THE PLACE IS SOOOOO BIG. but other than that it was the BEST holiday i have ever had. in other words just go and see how u feel about it x
we have planed to go here in november..keep hearing mixed reports about the place..all saying food is poor,or cold....its really windy. you cant go out at night .. and its NOT a beach hotel.....can anyone help us.?

its oki but if i was anyone honestly id spend a little bit more and go to the Riu Cancun in mexico cos tht is on an other level to this hotel
