I have been flying the T28 long enough to want a new foamy. I just can't decide between this and the new 109. Are the flight characteristics of the F4U and 109 similar? is one tougher to fly than the other?
@badkarma52 The BF-109 is a fair amount more difficult to take off and land due to the fact that the gear is so much longer in the BF as the opposite with the corsair. If you say that you have been flying the T-28 you would have no problem with the corsair.
hey horizon, i picked up the same plane, however im having problems with the servo linkages. the directions for this thing are horrible and not in english...any info or pics i could look at would help. thanks
The directions are not in english? We don't offer a foreign language version of this manual. Are you sure you got the right instructions or the right plane??
What plane would you recomend if I have flown a little bit before and I want to have a plane that is easy to fly, has some speed, and can do aerobatics like a loop?
As I stated earlier this is not a "first plane". You should have flown a number of planes successfully before flying the Corsair. This would be a good 3rd or 4th plane. If all you have is simulator time then I would not recommend this plane for you. My suggested progression would be:
You won't go out of range mate, they say if you can't see it you can't fly it,so that's a good guide line don't lose sight of it and you won't go out of range.
I wouldn't worry about it any more than if you were flying one of the ParkZone P-51 Mustangs, Spitfires, or Focke Wulf. Just land with a little of a nose-up attitude and you'll be ok. I know I broke a few props on my Spitfire initially but once I got the hang of the approach I haven't broken on in a very long time, probably well over a year.
This plane is great. I bought the plug-n-play model and it is really fun to fly. One thing I would have like to have seen was the designer comment on the flight characteristics of this aircraft in detail.
Your AR500 features QuickConnect with Brownout Detection.
Should an interruption of power occur the system will reconnect immediately when power is restored (QuickConnect).
The LED on the receiver will flash slowly indicating a power interruption has occurred.
Brownouts can be caused by an inadequate power supply (weak battery or regulator), a loose connector, a bad switch, an inadequate BEC when using an Electronic speed controller

It depends, if you are only going to be flying parkflyers, the dx5e is fine. but if you want to get into more advanced planes with retracts or even helicopters, i say go with the dx6i. I have the dx6i and i love it, but if you are on budget, save the extra $80 for repairs :)
Just flew this for the first time and after trimming it out, it is amazing. Worth every penny, so much nicer than the P-51 I bought a year or two ago, MUCH improved.
I am having problems with my charger, It does charge the batery but the red light never comes on. How can I fix that? do I have to get a new one?

is there a difference in performace between the 3 and 2 blade prop? does the 2 blade make the plane fly slower?

@010hlong I find the 2 blade prop flies slower, most people use the 2 blade for whatever reason but the 3 blade prop i feel performs much better

The wing could be attached more firmly. the wheels could be a bit bigger. It should have a little more power.

I was going to get the BF109 but didnt due to lack of availability. This plane is one of the best planes I have ever flown.

Weird. Go to the Horizon Hobby Website and you can get the manual by searching for PKZ4600. The link to the manual is under the "Support" tab.

The Super Cub LP can do all of those things and makes a great first or second plane.

Hello, I have heard that the corsair fly's the same as the trojan. Why would the trojan be better than the corsair for a second plane?
I am ordering one of these planes tomorrow or on saturday for a second plane and am wondering. Thank you

is it essay to fly
CHOLOD3000 2 years ago
It's all relative to your experience level. It's not what I would recommend as a 1st airplane, but maybe a good 2nd or 3rd plane sure.

Its almost sad to see the t28 be replaced.. well its got big shoes to fill!! how much longer will you be selling the t28?
XMODF1 3 years ago
The T-28 isn't going away. The Corsair is just an additional warbird to the ParkZone lineup adding to the P-51, the Spitfire, and the Foke Wulf.
HorizonRCdotCom 3 years ago
thats good to hear. However I do think you should start sellinng the t28 with a dx5e radio system :P
XMODF1 3 years ago
You can always go with the Trojan PNP (PKZ4475) and add a DX5e or a DX6i too.
HorizonRCdotCom 3 years ago
Yeah but the rtr value is so much better, the battery plus buying a radio system is alot, plus charger if ur new to the hobby.
