  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL VIDEO.....always thought Bun Headwrap were so gorgeous. Thanks for this video...now I can wear one:)

  • You are good, girl!!!

I've been wearing hair covers of all kinds(Hat, scarf, bandana, barret and whatever covers most of my hair) for the last 7 years for religious reasons(In Judaism a maried woman should cover her hair) but I never got so creative!!

Just watched a few of your videos(including the eye brows make up wich i should definitely try!!) and got some fun new ideas!!

You just got yourself a new admirer from Israel... :)

    Thanks!!

  • Beautiful!

  • yes i like that i can do

  • im dark skin and the only kind of colors that look good on me are earth tone colors. I have this small pink scarf i wanted to add with my black scarf... if you have similar can you do a demonstration video on how to make the 2 colors come together?

  • I know I might be totally clueless and I don't mean to be, but I do have a real question I want to ask... Why don't I ever see white girls wearing head wraps?

  • I love your videos!!! I have totally subscribed!! I would like to know how long the scarves should be to do these wraps? How long are the scarves in your video?

  • *** Loved your 2-part video- it was great fun watching & learning so many different styles- Thanks- You've got skills for sure ***

  • I'm inspired!

  • Thank you! Im going natural and wanted some ideals you were very helpful!!!

  • WOW so many beautiful ways to do it. i tryed many of them and its so easy. im a white woman living in sweden but i love the african style and i just converted to islam but coz off family problem i can not cover myself right now so with this way at least i cover my hair. big thank you for teaching us this!!!

  • simply beautiful!!! im definitly gonna buy some head wraps. i gave one question, where would someone buy throws types of head wraps? would i have to go to my nearest halal store?

  • CAN you please tell me if this style help protect ur natural hair? and did it grow better because you didnt manipulate it alot?

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL.. im going to subscribe

  • @temickab Cool! lol I'll be seeing you around then.

  • Beautiful!!!! great video, I will be wearing my headwraps more often

  • @stillgotit5 can only muslims wear this??? Because i am christian and i really like them

  • @temickab Hey hon, glad you like it! And of course non-muslims can wear headwraps. This particular style of wrap has no religious or racial affiliation and recognition. It's simply an adornment. The same as wearing a hat or hair flower, you know? At least, that's how it's always been with me. And even if it wasn't, who's to tell YOU what you can or cannot wear on your head? Have fun! :-)

  • @AvaAmin Thanks :)

  • @temickab no, I believe anyone can wear a headwrap and anyway you want to wear it :)

  • @stillgotit5 Thanks doll!

  • oh this such a joy to watch i can't wait to try all of those styles. thank you so much

  • shalom to you and Yah bless.

Todah for posting these videos. I would like to ask a question however, where can I find these types of head wraps. Recently I went to a drug store close to me and they happen to have some on sale. I tried to buy them all. But, they all had designs like paisley and plaid and such, very nice though. Where can I find the lace and plain colored like what you have?

    Thank You.

  • Awesome video. I am having an event at my at school for Black History Month and needed to know this. Very nice!!

  • who sings these songs...?

  • wonderful tutorial - thanks very very much

  • Thank you that was very helpful....

  • That absolutely fabulous! Thank you for posting this!

  • I absolutely love the orange and cream look...like a cream saver candy swirl in the back. I got out my old shawls and will absolutely try these ideas. By the way....I am not certain what happened to the comment I left you hours ago. It never posted I guess. I love this video so I am saying again since you did not get it the first time. THANKS A LOT!!!! =)

  • Wow you just gave me more ideas lol. I have those shawls and never use them so now I just might. I have been faithfully wearing head wraps each day I walk out my house since I came across these videos last week. They tend to make a woman appear more beautiful than simply doing the hair, because they put the focus on the face and frame of the facial features. Excellent video...Keep it up and thanks for the inspiration and great displays!

  • fantastic! how do I rate???

  • love the black one with the beads and then the flower..........so pretty

  • Wow, this is sooooooooooo creative!!! Love it!

    Now subscribed! :-)

  • Where did you get the pretty black lace scarf?! Its so cute! And Im still in love with that orange fringe. My favorite was the second to the last style....that kept going and going and going!

  • Hey there! I may have gotten that lace piece from Fashion Bug or somewhere years ago. But really, it's the same as getting a strip cut from a fabric store. Any wide stretch lace would do....and cost only about $2-3 (if not less).

  • Hey Ava! Question: How do you keep the weight of the bun from pulling the scarf backward off your head

  • When I use a stretch fabric, I think the stretch makes it snug enough (not tight) to keep that from happening. And when it's a woven fabric, it's not usually very much weight to the knot. Hope that helped.

  • Very pretty . You made it look so easy.

  • Lovely headwraps!!!...Made me join youtube just to leave a comment. Could you tell me what type of material the large white headwrap is made of?

  • Cool! Welcome to youtube! The white piece is just a cut of stretchy jersey (you know, like t-shirts) fabric.

  • Wow!!! Your head wraps are so Beautiful! I'm so impressed. You have inspired me to do different styles now. Take Care~ Peace Love & Happiness!

  • ROYAL!

  • Part 2 was just as inspiring as the 1st. Thanks again!

  • wow amazing, so nice and creative ! i wear a wrap occasionally and you just gave me more options,,,,whoo hoo thanks ava! keep up the good work.

  • That's awesome! Thanks for watching and have fun being creative!

  • This is wonderful. I'm natural and looking for a way to keep my hair protected from humidity, sun and basically the pollution. I love this and always wondered how to do this. Oh...yeah I' getting out the big hoop earring now. Thank you so much. I wish you could reemmber how you did the orange and cream wrap.

  • Shoot, I wish I knew how I did it too! lol Really, most headwraps that aren't the bun come from me just bowing my head, draping some fabric, twist and wrap...and see what happens. Thanks so much for your interest and watching!

  • I love it...It's beautifull

  • Thanks!

  • I have been wearing my head wrap for 2 days now after watching this video! I have 8 a.m summer classes and need a easy way to look cute in a hurry. Thanks so much, I have always wondered how to do this.

  • Cool! Yeah, I'm quick to just throw on some sort of wrap and a necklace when I don't have time to do anything else, yet don't want to look like I didn't have time. So happy this has been useful for you. Thanks for watching!!

  • Thanks for yet another wonderful video. How about another style wrap like the one where you're wearing a cream head wrap? Thanks in advance.

  • You know, I won't make any promises, but I'll put it under heavy consideration. Only because, honestly, I don't have any technique or whatever for any of the other was I've wrapped my head. Those have all been product of me being bored and wanting to see what would happen if I wrapped and tucked different ways. But believe me, I'm going to really think about doing that video. Then I'd have it documented if I wanted to try it again. That one would be a learning experience for you and me both

  • You are too creative thanks so much pt 1 and 2 are the best I have seen.Thx

  • great video thanks for posting! I'm a Muslim looking for modern ways to wear Hijab/headcovering and I LOVE your ideas... can't wait to try them out!!

  • Awesome! Thanks for watching!!

  • Where are you getting your material for your headwraps? Love your videos.

  • Thanks for the watching and for compliment. I get fabric and scarves from all sorts of places. You can get 1-2 yard cuts of fabric at your local fabric shop, craigslist, ebay, thrift stores, and more. Premade scarves I get from all over, also. Department stores, ebay, women's clothing stores, accessory stores (Claires, Icing, etc), and more. Look at things that aren't just specifically for wrapping your head to broaden your options. I hope help that answered your question.

  • Thanks for replying. I plan to go in a thrift store tomorrow to see what I can find because I've been wanting to go there for a minute. Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

  • Oh, cool. I hope you find something good!

  • Hey! I liked the fringed bang...lol You never know when you need to get your 20's flapper look on...lol.

  • LOL I'm tellin you, there will be fringe bang headwraps EVERYWHERE this spring. lol

  • I learned so much from watching your headwrap tutorials, your so creative, and unique! I would never have thought to do all these different variations. Thank you so much for your videos, it's greatly appreciated!!!

  • SOO glad I could help. Just get creavtive with it. Scarves, buttons, brooches, fabric, flowers, ANYTHING. Even neck ties. Just not your husband's Burberry tie. I almost made that mistake and just about got cut. LOL

  • Great job. You are so kind to do this for us.

  • Thanks for the kindness and you're very welcome for the video. I just wanted to insight people's own creativity when it comes to this headwrap. From scarves to neckties to chopsticks....there are SO many possiblilties.

  • what is the name of the song playing at 5:03?

  • The Promise by Tracy Chapman

  • Thanks so much! I've recently lost my hair due to a sudden illness and I LOVE that I found your videos to rock the headwraps! :) Keep making AWESOME videos!

  • Thanks for watching! Although I'm sorry it was due to illness, I'm glad you were able to find this video useful. Hope you come up with some cute variations!

  • Oh man these are great. I really like the ones you did with the orange fabric, ok minus the one with the fringe bang lol

  • Don't hate just cause you can't rock the fringe bang like me. You know it was hot. LOL

  • The items I use (including the few in the video) I get from all over. Don't feel limited to just a head scarf or something labeled as a "headwrap". Use large shawls, shoulder wraps, cuts of fabric from craft stores...etc. The stretchy white peice was about 30" x 2yds. It was just a cut of white cotton jersey. The large orange is a large scarf (for shoulders/neck) that I sometimes use on my head. It's also almost 2 yards long.

  • I love the way you do your head wraps. I do have a couple of questions. Where do you get your head wraps from and how long are they. I really want to start wearing head wraps but dont know where to get them from.
