I also think this is modeled WAY TOO MUCH on New York. Park Avenue? Canal Street? Central Park? Could we have Korean names please? I would think that would be obvious.
We might as well make another Eiffel Tower while we're at it...
I'm not saying this as someone who dislikes copying, but a Korean with pride. I also believe Western things and Eastern things DO NOT belong together...don't name the streets after New York.
What you don't understand is that Western influence on other countries is as destructive as it is progressive. Foreginers DEFINITELY DO NOT BELONG in Korea. It's not there for your entertainment. It's true that many Korean live in the US, but they're there for just money. No one thinks of themselves as Americans. Globalization is here to stay, but that refers to ideas, not ideas. It's hard to separate the two, but it should be done. David Bowie agrees with me on this, if that counts, lol.
This planet and every thing, every place, every resource is for us all! it dont matter were u were born, we were all born on earth... we are all earthlings, we all belong to the human race! the sooner we all start to realise this the quicker we will progress, instead of saying u cant come here, go there! thats the power people talking right there! dont listen to the media or governments, these are the people who make us go to war, its always our leaders, never the people!
I think you've bought into the fallacy that we're one people. That's a western idea that governments use to pacify third world nations. We're not one people, its our economies are battling it out for supremacy. Your resources are not ours, and ours is not yours.
"The People" need to have sense of decency and propriety. Our culture is just for us, and not for your entertainment, even though you'd like to explore everything in the world. It's just not decent.
"Our culture is just for us, and not for your entertainment?"
Sorry, man, but you are in way over your head. Different cultures are spreading throughout this world at an ever increasing rate, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. As a Korean, I am proud that my country's culture has spread to many parts to other countries, and there are definitely many people who relish it. Also, Korea has become more open to foreigners as well and will continue to do so. Deal with it.
I'm not in over my head, and you're not seeing what I'm saying. Our culture is our right by blood, not anyone elses. I'm not British, or French, or South African, or anything else. I'm Korean. Your belief that Korean culture has spread is wrong, it's just being pawned off as entertainment, like sushi. Korea should never be open to foreigners, it should only be open for commerce and education. Foreigners DO NOT BELONG in Korea." DEAL WITH IT "
Wow, I have never seen such a selfish and arrogant comment. You really do live in your own little world in which you only believe what you think is right, because obviously you just don't live in reality. Korean culture is seen as entertainment? Where's your proof of that? Whether you like it or not, Korea will always welcome foreigners. That is reality, so you deal with it. Oh, and ever heard of Koreatowns across the world?
Oh I don't know where to start with you...if you're of Korean blood and you don't want our cultural rights protected then you're a traitor. Korea should be open intellectually and economically, but not for anything else. We don't want to cannibalize our culture like the US. You've discovered my little world through a youtube posting? You're quite intelligent. Arguing and slandering your own blood, keep it up. Might as well marry an a fat American in a Kimono and say that your kids are Korean
I'm sorry, but I was laughing really hard on your comment about me being a traitor. If that's true, then that means there are a whole lot of traitors not just in Korea, but also those in other countries who welcome other cultures. Like I said, you're losing touch with reality. Korea is increasingly becoming more welcoming to other cultures, and it reciprocates as well. I am very proud to be Korean, and I am also proud that there are people who are willing to learn the Korean culture.
Your thesis that since there's a Koreatown in many countries that Korean culture has spread is wrong. Korean culture is insular, it just means that Korean people live there. Why do you want it to spread? It's ours, not theirs. No point in bragging and getting people to eat kimchi with their sushi and pasta. Be more civil too, if you're Korean. Be more proud of your blood, not of material things.
It's nice, but a little worrying...I'm not racist or anything, but foreigners don't belong in Korea, although they're allowed to be there. It may be alot of trouble, like it is in Japan.
I think the city should be closed off from the rest of Korea, and needing a ID to enter Seoul from there, for security (terrorism) reasons, and restrict the inflow of foreigners.
I didn't say Korea was racist. Japan has a lot of trouble with being so open to foreigners, but they've focused on the positive things, a.k.a money. English town in Korea? Maybe you're talking about military bases, I'm not sure. In either case, you don't belong there, it's not your country or culture. If you're there for material need, I'm sure Korea will accomodate, but perhaps the US would be better for you since there is no culture here except money.
there is a village called 'English Village' or 'yung-uh ma-uel' which is for korean people to visit and act like they are in foreign country so that they can learn english better.
The "English Village" you're talking about doesn't really employ foreigners, it's just a town of Korean people teaching english. It's a business by Spain, Italy and Korea...making money for teaching alittle English.
its a town of british, american and other european people to come and work as a english teacher. if koreans are not open about other cultures why would we learn/build about something that is other culture?
I don't think it's a town for foreigners to work as english teachers, all information its quite the contrary, all though I'm sure there are a some who are foreign born working at these businesses.
Like I've said before, Korea is open academically and economically, but should not be for anything else. That's why I said they should limit tourism to just that city, not the rest of the country.
I did not say Korea is not open to other cultures, but other countries don't like maintaining diversity, and would love to get everyone to think like them.
Like David Bowie says (paraphrasing), it's horrible what westernization does to native cultures.
AsanMaeng, you have too much pride. And that is a characteristic of ethnocentric Koreans. Too much pride makes people stubborn and pretentious instead of humble and open. Korea used to be one of the poorest countries in the world. Now they are an economic powerhouse. Why? It's the fucking back breaking labour or parents and grandparents have gone through. To put away their pride and accept globalization, to modernity. And for you to say such a fucking disrespectful statement. Shame on you!!
I speak English quite fine. Why would I need to practice when I was raised speakin it? You haven't hit a soft spot. You just made fun of me and expect me to just be quiet about it.
Be respectful or stop commenting. Hide, run away, whatever.
Hah, you can believe what you want, but you did say that there is no culture in America besides money. You also said, "Globalization is here to stay, but that refers to ideas, not ideas." That makes about as much sense as a sentence, "these are apples, not apples." So you are a little nutty and a bit of an extreme protectionist and nationalist, and you write incoherently. Maybe you are a North Korean who is a fan of Yoda. lol
Yea, that was a typo, obviously. I didn't mean to repeat myself, it happens to everyone. I'm not nutty, not North Korean, nor am I fan of Yoda. WTF random shit is that? I'm not an extreme protectionist or nationalist. I'm for being fair, and not imposing my will on others. Globalization is essentially imposing one's will on another.
Stop your slander, and run away. You're looking desperate. Still haven't heard a logical argument from you. Go away.
whole sentences are not typos, idiot. you really are an extreme protectionist and nationalist, or you just are really, really bad at writing in english. write in korean, if you want, dimwit.
I didn't typo the entire the sentence, I just repeated one word by mistake. Are you going to pester me until I call you something bad too?
Run away, I'm not being mean to you. Haven't called you names, or made fun of your ideas, or even your language skills. So be respectful and come up with a point if you want to talk.
I'm not a bad writer, and my ideas are not extreme. Seriously, with no judgements, if you're desperate for attention, I'll happily oblige for a while if that's the case. Where are you from? How old are you?
ugh, you're starting to bore me and getting a bit creepy with those personal questions. i know you write pretty awkward and hold rather extreme ideas. if you disagree, then so be it. nobody twisted your arm to justify and defend yourself to some stranger. i wonder why you felt the need to do that, though i don't think Meryl Streep would try to defend her acting skill when some stranger calls her a bad actress, but a really bad actress probably would. get the analogy, AsanMaeng?
Your analogy is based on someone you don't really know, and the situation describe depends on the person, not the acting ability. Also, to say something negative is simply bad form in any case.
Say something truthful, and with a point. You haven't done either so far. It's fine you don't want to answer personal questions, I was just being friendly to a most obviously antagonistic person.
you don't get it, do you? if you are so certain that your ideas are sound and you write cogent, then why try to defend yourself to a perfect stranger? that's just pathetic. i do know and you should know that you hold unpopular, extreme ideas that only a small percentage of people adhere, and you do write awkward and sometimes plain incoherent. get some balls, wimp, because holding extreme ideas is not necessarily a bad thing. it just means that your view is very unpopular as of now.
I tend to defend right and wrong even if it's a bother. Not extremist, or unpopular. For example, gay rights are fine, just not marriage since that's a religious institution. Lately I've been repeating how Neda, Iranian girl who died, didn't care about politics and was just watching the riots when she was shot, according to her fiance. It's wrong that foreigners have made her something that she wasn't. You're trying to wheedle your way out of the fact that you're calling me names. Shame on you.
Hah, you should have used "weasel," not "wheedle." lol I'm starting to think you're either a kid or a very naive adult. "Defend right and wrong?" According to your own definition of right and wrong? Btw, for people who do not subscribe to organized religion, marriage is simply a social institution and a contract. It's no wonder you hold extreme views since you seem to believe that morality is absolute according to your own idiotic belief. That only makes you very opinionated, dimwit.
I defend right and wrong by definition, not by cultural or religious views. As in murder is wrong, bullying is wrong, etc. The point of marriage is that it's supported by the religion; it doesn't really matter if the couple believes in it. If there was a religion supporting homosexuality, then marriage would be fine for them within that religion.
It's not extremist, morality has a common humanity that everyone should recognize. There are variations of course.
I never said that you meant "weasel," but that you should have used "weasel." "Wheedle" in that sentence is rather comical. I never said that you're an extremist, but that you hold extreme ideas. You may want to learn to read and write with precision. And guess what, dimwit? Because stating that murder or bullying is wrong or immoral is tautological, they offer no support for yet another awkward statement of yours that morality has common humanity, a form of moral universalism.
You must not read very much. Most Americans don't so it's nothing to be ashamed of.
One holding extreme ideas would be an extremist, in point of fact. Even if you hold a different view on that, you'd have to agree that my assumption is emphatically correct.
I was mentioning that I defend right and wrong, remember? Bullying is wrong. Much like what you're doing.
Morality has elements that are simply truths. Anyway, you're pointless. Come up with something better.
all the spaces! lol i never said that you should be ashamed of not being able to read and write with precision. you only think you're being bullied. bullying is wrong but which act constitutes bullying is subjective in many circumstances. one who hold extreme ideas is not necessarily an extremist but the reverse is true. all you're doing is making unsupported claims. i'm clearly not trying to make a specific point but just negating or pointing out flaws in you line of thinking, dimwit.
The spaces are so that you can comprehend the argument alittle better. You don't seem to understand when I go from one sentence to another.
I didn't say you said anything about being ashamed about anything. How odd.
Bullying is pretty obvious here, or else you'd have gone away.
You forgot the s after hold in your reply. No worries though, I won't make fun of you for it. Your argument doesn't have any point anyway, since it has nothing to do with my line thinking.
lol you're getting really incoherent with your replies, so i'll do this one by one. you did write, "... Americans don't [sic] so it's nothing to be ashamed of." you clearly implied with that sentence that you can't read or write with precision, but that it's nothing to be ashamed of since many Americans also can't write or read with precision. if that is not what you implied with that sentence, then what point were you trying to make with that sentence, AsanMaeng?
I recommend for your next bullying rant that you make fun of the fact that I missed the second "s" in assuming. You should also add in more taunts and "lol" to it, that way you'd be simply awesome :)
haha, judging from your writing, i did assume that you're a korean living in america, a citizen or not. you still haven't answered my previous question. once you answer the question, then i'll answer your question. that's how people talk, dimwit. so here it goes again. what point were you trying to make with the sentence: "... Americans don't [sic] so it's nothing to be ashamed of?" Or are too much of a chicken to answer it, AsanMaeng?
Wrong again, not American, not raised in the U.S., etc. Many other English speaking countries, etc.
Are you really confused to what "Americans don't" refer too? I'm surprised.
You should reread the paragraph. Read hard. I think you'll get it eventually. Clue: read the previous sentence from "Most Americans don't " Have a happy Independence Day Weekend in any case.
Oh, and recycle the word "dimwit". Repeating insults seems tiring. Take your bullying up to a new level man :)
still can't read, can you? i never said that you're an american or that you were raised in america, dimwit. btw, we both know why you said, "... so it's nothing to be ashamed of," implying that not being able to read or write well is nothing to be ashamed of since many english speaking people also can't. if that's not what you meant, then what did you mean by it, AanMaeng? you probaly can't answer it because you're a wimpy idiot who hold some extreme ideas. prove me wrong, AsanMaeng.
Whatever your guess, wrong. I therefore listed other possibilites that would be incorrect. I think you're not taking into account the word etcetera. In any case, no worries.
I don't understand your question. You clearly understand what I meant by saying most American's don't read, excluding other English speaking countries. The point is saying that your difficulty to understand my comments may stem from lack of reading.
What am I supposed to prove now? Wimply idiot, that's new, lol.
Hah, your problem, AsanMaeng, is that you are too dumb to know that you are quite inarticulate in English, especially for somebody who grew up speaking English. And you read about as badly as you write. I'm talking beyond simple grammar or punctuation errors. Your ideas are vague and incoherent. Your sentences are verbose, awkward, and equally vague. In addition, you hold some pretty nutty and extreme ideas. Consider yourself lucky that I let you practice your English on me for this long.
You're quite funny to listen to. You're obviously trying to raise some sort of emotional response, calling me names, and taunting me with "prove me wrong" and "chicken?". You also act like you're some sort of more benevolent, older, and all together better person than I am...how absurdly immature! Be more respectful and have an actual point, but I obviously don't have a language problem. You're just stating stuff like you're the end all of perspective.
Haha, you sure don't have a "language problem," like a Korean dry cleaner I use. In fact, I think your English is about as good as his English: Good enough to get by but not good enough to articulate complex ideas. You kept saying that I should explain myself, so I explained myself by telling you about your English ability and extreme ideas. A point? The point is that you hold extreme ideas, and you can't articulate well in English. If you didn't like that, then so be it.
It's true. You are a poor writer. And in addition your ideas are extreme! IDing traffic from and to cities? Restricting the flow of foreigners to preserve some sort of cultural integrity? Calling North American states cultureless?
You must have never picked up a book about North America in the 19th and 20th centuries. Or really understand how global economics, culture, societies, politics, and so on function. The beauty of the world is that it is so diverse. You are a backwards thinker.
Slander is spoken, libel is written. You should get an English tutor that will teach you how to write in context, because you write like an idiot. It embarrasses me.
Living in Songdo is exciting because it is going through so many big changes. There are really good bike trails nearby. The shoreline is interesting because it is so flat. It's also laden with shellfish and crab. The tide goes in and out kilometers so it's easy to reclaim the land. And for a city built from reclaimed land in the last 4 years or so, it's amazing we already have lots of bees and birds living here.
I thought Song Do was just a small part of Inchon City I am little confused here. Anyway, Korean govt loves to hire European architecture contractors for project like this. I have heard that there would be Euro-Asia train station in the future which means North Korea must break their old communism and join their brother land S.Korea. The map shows that it is possible to have a world class train tracks from France to Korea. Europe-Russia-Mongolia-China-Korea(last destination).
it´s probably a promotional movie to lead europeans-americans to this beautiful newbuild city in korea.. "international school". would you go? i'd rather stay in europe
It is for ambassador's and business men's child not only for european, american, and all the foreigners but also Korean business men's family as well. it is a international city like Dubai.
"International Schools" in korea isnt international at all. most of them r ethnic koreans, and they speak korean at school. As an american who attended international school in korea, i felt very isolated. DONT GO THERE!! LOL
hanseo, I think its the school you went that had an problem lol, i have lots of friend in international schools but they are doing finee, except some like kent.

AsanMaeng 3 years ago
What are you talking about? Foreigners don't belong in Korea?! Globalization is here to stay no matter if you like it or not.
Plus the irony of it all is that you live in the States- Korean pride? Anyway this city is sweet and it will obviously be open to everyone
cyclohexane1 3 years ago 2

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
UserName2Disturbing 3 years ago
I think you've bought into the fallacy that we're one people. That's a western idea that governments use to pacify third world nations. We're not one people, its our economies are battling it out for supremacy. Your resources are not ours, and ours is not yours.
"The People" need to have sense of decency and propriety. Our culture is just for us, and not for your entertainment, even though you'd like to explore everything in the world. It's just not decent.
AsanMaeng 3 years ago
"Our culture is just for us, and not for your entertainment?"
Sorry, man, but you are in way over your head. Different cultures are spreading throughout this world at an ever increasing rate, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. As a Korean, I am proud that my country's culture has spread to many parts to other countries, and there are definitely many people who relish it. Also, Korea has become more open to foreigners as well and will continue to do so. Deal with it.
kor88 2 years ago
I'm not in over my head, and you're not seeing what I'm saying. Our culture is our right by blood, not anyone elses. I'm not British, or French, or South African, or anything else. I'm Korean. Your belief that Korean culture has spread is wrong, it's just being pawned off as entertainment, like sushi. Korea should never be open to foreigners, it should only be open for commerce and education. Foreigners DO NOT BELONG in Korea." DEAL WITH IT "
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Wow, I have never seen such a selfish and arrogant comment. You really do live in your own little world in which you only believe what you think is right, because obviously you just don't live in reality. Korean culture is seen as entertainment? Where's your proof of that? Whether you like it or not, Korea will always welcome foreigners. That is reality, so you deal with it. Oh, and ever heard of Koreatowns across the world?
kor88 2 years ago
Oh I don't know where to start with you...if you're of Korean blood and you don't want our cultural rights protected then you're a traitor. Korea should be open intellectually and economically, but not for anything else. We don't want to cannibalize our culture like the US. You've discovered my little world through a youtube posting? You're quite intelligent. Arguing and slandering your own blood, keep it up. Might as well marry an a fat American in a Kimono and say that your kids are Korean
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
I'm sorry, but I was laughing really hard on your comment about me being a traitor. If that's true, then that means there are a whole lot of traitors not just in Korea, but also those in other countries who welcome other cultures. Like I said, you're losing touch with reality. Korea is increasingly becoming more welcoming to other cultures, and it reciprocates as well. I am very proud to be Korean, and I am also proud that there are people who are willing to learn the Korean culture.
kor88 2 years ago
Your thesis that since there's a Koreatown in many countries that Korean culture has spread is wrong. Korean culture is insular, it just means that Korean people live there. Why do you want it to spread? It's ours, not theirs. No point in bragging and getting people to eat kimchi with their sushi and pasta. Be more civil too, if you're Korean. Be more proud of your blood, not of material things.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
this city is actually called songdo "international" city,
duswogo 2 years ago
It's nice, but a little worrying...I'm not racist or anything, but foreigners don't belong in Korea, although they're allowed to be there. It may be alot of trouble, like it is in Japan.
I think the city should be closed off from the rest of Korea, and needing a ID to enter Seoul from there, for security (terrorism) reasons, and restrict the inflow of foreigners.
AsanMaeng 3 years ago
what, Korea is not racist, Japan might be closed off to foreigners but KOreans are open to them. and we already have english towns
KrisK8614 3 years ago
I didn't say Korea was racist. Japan has a lot of trouble with being so open to foreigners, but they've focused on the positive things, a.k.a money. English town in Korea? Maybe you're talking about military bases, I'm not sure. In either case, you don't belong there, it's not your country or culture. If you're there for material need, I'm sure Korea will accomodate, but perhaps the US would be better for you since there is no culture here except money.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
there is a village called 'English Village' or 'yung-uh ma-uel' which is for korean people to visit and act like they are in foreign country so that they can learn english better.
KrisK8614 2 years ago
The "English Village" you're talking about doesn't really employ foreigners, it's just a town of Korean people teaching english. It's a business by Spain, Italy and Korea...making money for teaching alittle English.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
its a town of british, american and other european people to come and work as a english teacher. if koreans are not open about other cultures why would we learn/build about something that is other culture?
KrisK8614 2 years ago
I don't think it's a town for foreigners to work as english teachers, all information its quite the contrary, all though I'm sure there are a some who are foreign born working at these businesses.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Like I've said before, Korea is open academically and economically, but should not be for anything else. That's why I said they should limit tourism to just that city, not the rest of the country.
I did not say Korea is not open to other cultures, but other countries don't like maintaining diversity, and would love to get everyone to think like them.
Like David Bowie says (paraphrasing), it's horrible what westernization does to native cultures.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
AsanMaeng, you have too much pride. And that is a characteristic of ethnocentric Koreans. Too much pride makes people stubborn and pretentious instead of humble and open. Korea used to be one of the poorest countries in the world. Now they are an economic powerhouse. Why? It's the fucking back breaking labour or parents and grandparents have gone through. To put away their pride and accept globalization, to modernity. And for you to say such a fucking disrespectful statement. Shame on you!!

Try calling someone crazy as point of fact. It's slander in the fullest sense of the word. You're obviously trying to discredit or make fun of me.
Explain yourself or hide from me.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
wow, i must have hit a soft spot. you really are kinda nuts. go practice your english with somebody else.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
I speak English quite fine. Why would I need to practice when I was raised speakin it? You haven't hit a soft spot. You just made fun of me and expect me to just be quiet about it.
Be respectful or stop commenting. Hide, run away, whatever.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
ugh, it's because on top of sounding like a nut, you also write awkward.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
Run away from this man, you've got nothing to say but baseless slander.
You're nuts.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Hah, you can believe what you want, but you did say that there is no culture in America besides money. You also said, "Globalization is here to stay, but that refers to ideas, not ideas." That makes about as much sense as a sentence, "these are apples, not apples." So you are a little nutty and a bit of an extreme protectionist and nationalist, and you write incoherently. Maybe you are a North Korean who is a fan of Yoda. lol
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
Yea, that was a typo, obviously. I didn't mean to repeat myself, it happens to everyone. I'm not nutty, not North Korean, nor am I fan of Yoda. WTF random shit is that? I'm not an extreme protectionist or nationalist. I'm for being fair, and not imposing my will on others. Globalization is essentially imposing one's will on another.
Stop your slander, and run away. You're looking desperate. Still haven't heard a logical argument from you. Go away.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
whole sentences are not typos, idiot. you really are an extreme protectionist and nationalist, or you just are really, really bad at writing in english. write in korean, if you want, dimwit.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
I didn't typo the entire the sentence, I just repeated one word by mistake. Are you going to pester me until I call you something bad too?
Run away, I'm not being mean to you. Haven't called you names, or made fun of your ideas, or even your language skills. So be respectful and come up with a point if you want to talk.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
haha, hey, you can stop responding if you want. i'm just amusing myself by jerking around a bad writer who holds some pretty extreme ideas.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
As usual, you're making fun of me with no basis.
I'm not a bad writer, and my ideas are not extreme. Seriously, with no judgements, if you're desperate for attention, I'll happily oblige for a while if that's the case. Where are you from? How old are you?
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
ugh, you're starting to bore me and getting a bit creepy with those personal questions. i know you write pretty awkward and hold rather extreme ideas. if you disagree, then so be it. nobody twisted your arm to justify and defend yourself to some stranger. i wonder why you felt the need to do that, though i don't think Meryl Streep would try to defend her acting skill when some stranger calls her a bad actress, but a really bad actress probably would. get the analogy, AsanMaeng?
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
Your analogy is based on someone you don't really know, and the situation describe depends on the person, not the acting ability. Also, to say something negative is simply bad form in any case.
Say something truthful, and with a point. You haven't done either so far. It's fine you don't want to answer personal questions, I was just being friendly to a most obviously antagonistic person.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
you don't get it, do you? if you are so certain that your ideas are sound and you write cogent, then why try to defend yourself to a perfect stranger? that's just pathetic. i do know and you should know that you hold unpopular, extreme ideas that only a small percentage of people adhere, and you do write awkward and sometimes plain incoherent. get some balls, wimp, because holding extreme ideas is not necessarily a bad thing. it just means that your view is very unpopular as of now.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
I tend to defend right and wrong even if it's a bother. Not extremist, or unpopular. For example, gay rights are fine, just not marriage since that's a religious institution. Lately I've been repeating how Neda, Iranian girl who died, didn't care about politics and was just watching the riots when she was shot, according to her fiance. It's wrong that foreigners have made her something that she wasn't. You're trying to wheedle your way out of the fact that you're calling me names. Shame on you.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Hah, you should have used "weasel," not "wheedle." lol I'm starting to think you're either a kid or a very naive adult. "Defend right and wrong?" According to your own definition of right and wrong? Btw, for people who do not subscribe to organized religion, marriage is simply a social institution and a contract. It's no wonder you hold extreme views since you seem to believe that morality is absolute according to your own idiotic belief. That only makes you very opinionated, dimwit.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
No, I meant wheedle.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
I never said that you meant "weasel," but that you should have used "weasel." "Wheedle" in that sentence is rather comical. I never said that you're an extremist, but that you hold extreme ideas. You may want to learn to read and write with precision. And guess what, dimwit? Because stating that murder or bullying is wrong or immoral is tautological, they offer no support for yet another awkward statement of yours that morality has common humanity, a form of moral universalism.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
You must not read very much. Most Americans don't so it's nothing to be ashamed of.
One holding extreme ideas would be an extremist, in point of fact. Even if you hold a different view on that, you'd have to agree that my assumption is emphatically correct.
I was mentioning that I defend right and wrong, remember? Bullying is wrong. Much like what you're doing.
Morality has elements that are simply truths. Anyway, you're pointless. Come up with something better.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
all the spaces! lol i never said that you should be ashamed of not being able to read and write with precision. you only think you're being bullied. bullying is wrong but which act constitutes bullying is subjective in many circumstances. one who hold extreme ideas is not necessarily an extremist but the reverse is true. all you're doing is making unsupported claims. i'm clearly not trying to make a specific point but just negating or pointing out flaws in you line of thinking, dimwit.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
The spaces are so that you can comprehend the argument alittle better. You don't seem to understand when I go from one sentence to another.
I didn't say you said anything about being ashamed about anything. How odd.
Bullying is pretty obvious here, or else you'd have gone away.
You forgot the s after hold in your reply. No worries though, I won't make fun of you for it. Your argument doesn't have any point anyway, since it has nothing to do with my line thinking.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
lol you're getting really incoherent with your replies, so i'll do this one by one. you did write, "... Americans don't [sic] so it's nothing to be ashamed of." you clearly implied with that sentence that you can't read or write with precision, but that it's nothing to be ashamed of since many Americans also can't write or read with precision. if that is not what you implied with that sentence, then what point were you trying to make with that sentence, AsanMaeng?
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
I think you're asuming I'm American.
I'm not.
So what's your next enlightening point?
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
I recommend for your next bullying rant that you make fun of the fact that I missed the second "s" in assuming. You should also add in more taunts and "lol" to it, that way you'd be simply awesome :)
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
haha, judging from your writing, i did assume that you're a korean living in america, a citizen or not. you still haven't answered my previous question. once you answer the question, then i'll answer your question. that's how people talk, dimwit. so here it goes again. what point were you trying to make with the sentence: "... Americans don't [sic] so it's nothing to be ashamed of?" Or are too much of a chicken to answer it, AsanMaeng?
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
Wrong again, not American, not raised in the U.S., etc. Many other English speaking countries, etc.
Are you really confused to what "Americans don't" refer too? I'm surprised.
You should reread the paragraph. Read hard. I think you'll get it eventually. Clue: read the previous sentence from "Most Americans don't " Have a happy Independence Day Weekend in any case.
Oh, and recycle the word "dimwit". Repeating insults seems tiring. Take your bullying up to a new level man :)
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
still can't read, can you? i never said that you're an american or that you were raised in america, dimwit. btw, we both know why you said, "... so it's nothing to be ashamed of," implying that not being able to read or write well is nothing to be ashamed of since many english speaking people also can't. if that's not what you meant, then what did you mean by it, AanMaeng? you probaly can't answer it because you're a wimpy idiot who hold some extreme ideas. prove me wrong, AsanMaeng.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
Whatever your guess, wrong. I therefore listed other possibilites that would be incorrect. I think you're not taking into account the word etcetera. In any case, no worries.
I don't understand your question. You clearly understand what I meant by saying most American's don't read, excluding other English speaking countries. The point is saying that your difficulty to understand my comments may stem from lack of reading.
What am I supposed to prove now? Wimply idiot, that's new, lol.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Hah, your problem, AsanMaeng, is that you are too dumb to know that you are quite inarticulate in English, especially for somebody who grew up speaking English. And you read about as badly as you write. I'm talking beyond simple grammar or punctuation errors. Your ideas are vague and incoherent. Your sentences are verbose, awkward, and equally vague. In addition, you hold some pretty nutty and extreme ideas. Consider yourself lucky that I let you practice your English on me for this long.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
You're quite funny to listen to. You're obviously trying to raise some sort of emotional response, calling me names, and taunting me with "prove me wrong" and "chicken?". You also act like you're some sort of more benevolent, older, and all together better person than I am...how absurdly immature! Be more respectful and have an actual point, but I obviously don't have a language problem. You're just stating stuff like you're the end all of perspective.
AsanMaeng 2 years ago
Haha, you sure don't have a "language problem," like a Korean dry cleaner I use. In fact, I think your English is about as good as his English: Good enough to get by but not good enough to articulate complex ideas. You kept saying that I should explain myself, so I explained myself by telling you about your English ability and extreme ideas. A point? The point is that you hold extreme ideas, and you can't articulate well in English. If you didn't like that, then so be it.
bluemonolith88 2 years ago
