due to the money that eBay makes by low DSR ratings I think it is time to demand that eBay investigate each one to insure it is within their own standards. If a buyer says it is not as described, eBay should make a call on this BEFORE it is allowed to be posted as a 1 or 2 rating. They are responsible to do this when cases of "item significantly not as described" which has the same outcome. Where are all the big attorneys out there? Scared to take on eBay? cluck cluck cluck

i am a seller and buyer at ebay currently i am unable to sell. Its best to have a few back up accounts just in case shit like this happens. By the way sniping is great if someone is willing to pay a few bucks more than the last person who placed a bid that that is great.

This is so damn true...I hate this new system. It is all in favor of the Buyer while us sellers sit by and get Fu**ed. I lost my top seller status and had my account restricted cause of this retarded system. Buyers can say whatever they want and get away with it while us sellers are not allowed to even defend ourselves.

I'm livid with Ebays dsr's I have 100% rating, max £1 postage charge (and send everything first class and same next day) but have just been hit with my 3rd dsr for P+P charges??? WTF! Just been informed by eby this means i lose my top seller status and have an extra 15% on fees to pay, Not worth me selling! 5* is impossible I can't do anymore, would there be any media interest in Ebays con??

DSRs are completely bogus. Ebay pulls a sellers DSRs out of thin air. DSRs DO NOT reflect the numbers buyers actually leave.

Ebay arbitrarily decides each month how many 5%, 15%, and 20% discounts they want to hand out. Ebay then fudges each sellers DSRs to go with the number of discounts handed out.

So Ebay adjusts an actual 4.8 to a 4.7. Whatever Ebay needs to ensure only so many sellers get a discount that month.

I am an Ebay Seller since 1999, I have 100% Feedback rating (only 60 items) over the past 10 years, because of the sudden DSR implementation, I can no longer sell, despite my excellent record!!!

I have tried to both e-mail and phone their customer service, both times they promise to look into removing my restriction, both times management fails to follow up! What a Catch 22, I can't sell anything to up my DSR rating, so I'm locked out! 10 years of perfect account history for nothing!

The DSR rating system by this inept billion dollar company is a joke. Its a catch 22 system . You can raise your DSR by getting high star ratings but to get high stars you have to improve the star categories but they take away selling priveleges and you cant improve DSR. What a bunch of idiotic morons !

You are only refunded a final value fee for non paying buyer. You only receive an inserting credit IF YOU RELIST & SELL THE ITEM. IF doesn't sell, ebay just made money off you because of a violation committed by another user. A non paying buyer is an example of the "evils" the almighty ebay is suppose to protect us all from. So how am i as a seller protected if by losing money for something beyond my control?

The dsr system is a complete joke... the more sellers that get kicked off means less good deals on ebay, which in turn means less sales and less shoppers... just rate everyone one star, until there will be no one else to sell on ebay... maybe then ebay will do right by its customers.

That is an interesting proposal. I am sure it would work if you could get it started and not hurt an innocent seller. It would be sudden death to ebay or just hopefully sudden death to the dsr program. I just bought a toner cartridge on ebay and it seemed they had me approving using Pay Pal before I even finished the bid.
