@mattisadummy the valve stem didnt rip, the rim spun inside of the tire... happens alot when people dont put screws through the tire to keep this from happening
@MarshallMR8 when the rim spins inside of the tire, it rips the valve stem on the tube inside the tire.... and I believe the term you're looking for is "bead-locks"... which would be screws that lock the bead of the tire to the rim of the wheel.

simple,seat broke,he let off then slipped forward pressing gas pedal and turning steering wheel while sliding around in the car. seats were only spot welded in no bolts and don was over 200lbs.

I have been in drag racing as a driver, an owner, and a crew chief on everything from street cars to nostalgia fuelers. That guy got back on the gas when the car was sideways. Must have been very inexperienced. It is actually a good thing he left the vehicle when he did or he could have been killed. All racers learn the hard way at some point. I did and so do most true race drivers. Thank God most of us make it out alive when we do make mistakes.

he turned to quickley at 0:44 and hit the gas at the same time so the car just fliped. you can hear the engine rev up before he fliped it so nothing failed it was just his fault.

simple,seat broke,he let off then slipped forward pressing gas pedal and turning steering wheel while sliding around in the car. seats were only spot welded in no bolts and don was over 200lbs.

NOT true when I got to the crash (first one there) along with Mike Roberts in my Ford Ranger. We inspected his seat and it was still bolted to the flooring,The floor bord ripped out with the seat and was still attached to the seat ...thanks to Jackson Bros. videos!

I have been in drag racing as a driver, an owner, and a crew chief on everything from street cars to nostalgia fuelers. That guy got back on the gas when the car was sideways. Must have been very inexperienced. It is actually a good thing he left the vehicle when he did or he could have been killed. All racers learn the hard way at some point. I did and so do most true race drivers. Thank God most of us make it out alive when we do make mistakes.

rain311--his biggest mistake was getting in that death trap in the first place--terrible suspension (look at the wheel hop off the line) bad build (the freakin seat falls right out of the car for christ sake) I have never seen a car fall apar so easily at the track- your comment is inexperienced driver - I'm glad you ain't my crew chief !

I agree with rain he was a very inexperienced driver he could of easy of saved the car if he would of stayed off the throttle and road it out. its not like it was a 6 second car that was impossible to control. Also there were not even any walls on the side of the track he was alot of room to control it im sorry to say this but that was a failure....

He probably had it on but the bolts probably ripped out of those rusty ass floor pans. along with the seat, and the rearend, and the engine, etc. He shouldnt have been racing a rust bucket.
