Just heard this on radio. why have i never heard this before, and just Eno's production corpus, which is one of the best in music. Name a greater producer in experimental and just plain old rock and roll?
Yeah, I found information about Brian Eno's "music for airports" from Wikipedia, actually. Reading the article led me to search for the tracks from Youtube.

If you are drowning a dark ocean, this is the music you will hear playing as the dolphins take you back to the surface.

@gypsymyth7 That's a really interesting idea. I can hear some horns in here as well, french horns, tuba...I think it would translate well..

So what kind of 'Hall of Fame' does Eno belong in?

@Remiss63 All of them.

@Remiss63 Somewhere up there with The Beatles, Wim Mertens and David Bowie, I suspect.

This piece is similar to one used in the movie The Shining. I believe the latter piece was performed with brass instruments rather than a synth.
PS - As far as ambient music goes, I think Eno's Thursday Afternoon is "The One". :)

The best track on MFA. It's an ARP 2600, multitracked to perfection, with a bit of delay here and there.

i feel like this would be great if played by a live orchestra --- as many of Eno's other electronic pieces would.
