Yep I'am a complete fan of this wonderfull entertainer! Only wish I could have seen him in person. From what I have read he was as nice of a person as he was a dancer. May you rest in peace and thanks for all the enjoyment!!!
@jipjob1 Probably a difference between one on-screen performance, or sever on-screen performances and an actor's real life! Maybe he was depressing in person! LOL

Donald was a great leading man in many of his movies. In Call Me Madam and Anything Goes, he is so romantic and adorable and does fantastic dances with Vera-Ellen and Mitzi Gaynor.

This scene was what made me fall desperately in love with O'Connor. I just love the way he throws himself around as a dances and he's a brilliant comedian. Shame he never got to be much of a leading man; personally I thought he had far better chemistry with the lead in this movie, Something in the Wind. Watch the whole movie and you'll see what I mean.
