You can shoot at Kenny as soon as he starts moving.
How to make each medicine is in the instruction manual. It was a way to make sure people who pirate the game can't play it, but now Al Lowe has it on his website, so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Sierr loved doing things like that. Space Quest included two coupons in the manual - and in your inventory. However, in the inventory, they were invisible. You had to KNOW you had them to use them... and without them, you were stuck at the bar.
