  • The comments from the uptight bunch are hilarious.

I've imitated the singing style of the Bee Gees and I've tried to scat, who DOESN'T try to sing different styles? She doesn't have a career in opera because I'm sure she knows her voice is not strong enough for it. She's clearly being lighthearted.

  • I saw everyone talking about operates as if he understood what they were talking,

but no son of a bitch you know the name of the song of celine dion,

    funny

  • Amazing

  • i never understand why this woman doesn't let her voice flow like this on a record

  • This is amazing I love her voice!

  • Good God everyone stop writing back - a number of others have said here she is completely out of her territory - within here territory she soars. Get over it. Goofing around in your living room in front of a few friends is not goofing around on camera to go to millions on internet. Artist's managers warn them about that all the time! That's all. I think half of you are so fanatic (that's where Fan comes from) you'd gush over a bit of toilet paper with urine stains on it if came from 'her.'

  • She sings like an angel. Her timbe is absolute beautiful and extraordinary

  • anyone knows this song?

  • Comment removed

  • Sure proves she should not step out of her genre -- makes me wonder what a performer like this is thinking to make this public at all.... pity.

  • @MuseDuCafe dear Lord, she's just having fun.

what a fucking elitist you are.

  • Comment removed

  • @exfactor003 Fun is fun, at home, with some of your friends, not 'sharing' something you would never want to be known for on the internet, especially if you are a public figure. You have to be more than a fan, you have to be crazed, to enjoy how awful this sounds just because your Heroine is singing it. I'm sure she farts, too. Do you want to hear that?

  • @MuseDuCafe Sure proves that you know nothing about music!! Dear god I'm glad that there aren't that many stuck up ppl like you in this world..

  • @peppermintcat If you can't hear how not right this is, you can't hear how right her regular style is. A superb voice of one type out of her territory. Messing around in your living room in front of friends is one thing, being known as superb in public and being less than superb on the internet, well, that's not professional. I've accompanied many a good and great singer in my decades as a professional, sweetiekums... you haven't

  • @MuseDuCafe Are you fuckin serious?? My god, what is your problem.. You know that this is a fan video right?.. maybe she never meant for it to go out into the public!! You know that she has been trained to sing opera right? You know that this is just supposed to be fun right? Do you know what fun is? 'Messing around'?? She is SINGING that's what she does for a living !! Are you really telling me, that people are not allowed to step out of their territory? Get off your high horse !!!

  • @MuseDuCafe Oh, I can tell you are very professional, "sweetiekums." Celine Dion can do anything she likes, sing anything she likes in her living room. And she doesn't need to worry about what so-called "professionals" who demean anyone who disagrees say about her. She has already proven herself as a phenomenal singer AND a true professional.

  • @MuseDuCafe I'm curious, what do you think about Whitney Houston's bit of opera with Pavarotti, Sting and Elton at Sting's Rainforest Benefit? Would just like to get a professional's opinion.

    watch?v=Q2mMPz_a4vY

  • anyone knows the song?

  • todo lo que cante queda espectacular,porque ella es espectacular!,la mejor,la unica...silvia.rosario.argentina.💗💗

  • I love Dion. And I love opera too. That is why I'm saying she definitely should stick to pop. Absolutely NO offense intended. Listen to real opera if you want to know what it sounds like.

  • what a voice...Celine can sing anything

  • what is the song?

  • While it may not be opera you have to give her credit for her voice!!

  • barely an opera piece. nevertheless, i like her head voice

  • Please, spare me the lesson! Whitney can hardly sustain a note these days. You're an arrogant asswipe who has nothing better to do than troll videos of singers ýou seem to despise pointing out their every flaw. Good luck trying to find a needle in a hay stack. If Celine wants to sing opera then good on her. Admit it, Mariah's a sell-out (she'd sing anything to try and stay on top) and Whitney's a pot head. Musicianship is relative, but then agian different strokes for different folks.

  • @1963Carrie1968 And you're a class-A dumbass whore who has nothing better to do than to DRAG up debates that not only didn't have SHIT to do with her, but ended MONTHS ago. You're empty, bitter, pressed, sad, and you're a loser. Plain and simple. Why else would you have done this? We've never crossed paths until now (and the only reason we have is because of you).

Crawl back into whatever demonic hole you came from and stay there this time.

  • @Chimier fuck off this page you motherfucking whore

  • @54321Niru Make me, bitch

  • @Chimier tht seems impossible, looking at your comments. what exactly are you trying to prove? :P fucking schizophrenic

  • @54321Niru My comments were three weeks ago. Obviously you were pressed enough to drag something that had ended long ago back to life again.

Do you even know what schizophrenic means? Obviously not, seeing as how you're displaying the tendencies......

  • @Chimier omg its so fun to argue with ppl like you XD hahaha lol, yah and i know what schizorphrenic is, im a psychology student. LOL, dont take my comments personally, im weird :P . (celine still rocks :P PEACE >.< )

  • What is the name of the so song

  • Celine is amazing! The best singer ever!

  • I'm so proud of Céline Dion!! She's come from Québec!! Don't give up Céline!!

  • OK... me voy a suicidar si vuelvo a escuchar tanta disonancia junta (: BESITOS

  • @ludwig05051 Ah... y cuándo empieza a cantar? Vocaliza? paraguayiya ♪

  • Wonderful. ♥ Simply wonderful.

  • Correction- Ewa PODLES

  • it doesn't sound good.....its obviously not her thing but its accepatable and understandable...and believe me nobody loves Celine Dion more than i do....

  • I have always loved this!

  • what is the song?

  • She is amazing!! an i would like to hear this on an album!

  • what is this song?? i kinda like it

  • This is painful!!!! She is NOT an opera singer.

  • @radwigs How is it awful? She sings on pitch and with good lyric ability. If you don't like her timbre, that's one thing. But on ability, she did very well.

  • @vitaminB100 , It sounds strained, nasal and she is NOT on pitch. Celine Dion has a beautiful pop voice and there are few opera singers who could do her well known songs justice because their voices would sound bigger than the music just like her sounds to small for this type of music. I enjoy the old recording of her singing the Habenera from Carmen because she doesn't try to be an opera singer. She takes the aria and makes it her own.

  • @radwigs No.1 It's not strained. This woman has five octaves of voice. This is around the middle of that. No. 2 Of course it's nasal. Have you seen the nose on her? 3. Celine is one of few contemporary artists who have perfect pitch. The simple fact that she doesn't normally sing a spinto role puts her at a disadvantage. Her voice isn't too small. She's just not used to making the vocal leaps necessary.

  • @vitaminB100 Five octaves? LOL.

Perfect pitch? Where? Certainly not in this performance.

Her voice is thin. Very thin.

  • @Chimier You're an asshole. I've seen your comments all over YouTube. You're basically claiming singing has to be technically perfect for it to be enjoyed, right? Well, let me tell you something, I'd take vocal imperfection over emotional unavailability any time on any day! Céline Dion is the best singer that has ever lived and it's a sad state of affairs when your idols consist of nothing but ''has beens''. The only thing that's ''thin'' is that bitter feeling of defeat, ain't it now?

  • @1963Carrie1968 I'm glad you have nothing better to do with your time that comment on something that was over three months ago.

And no, if you actually paid attention to my comments on YT, you'd know that my stance is on MUSICIANSHIP as the #1 thing, but, reading your comments, you don't know much.

And my "has been" favorites are 5000x the musicians that your fav will ever be.

Next time, it would be best if you told me NOTHING seeing as nothing much comes out from you anyway.

    On your way, bitch.

  • @1963Carrie1968 "The only thing that's ''thin'' is that bitter feeling of defeat, ain't it now?"- LOL at you trying to be witty and FAILING. Who or WHAT exactly "defeated me"? And if the bitter feeling of defeat is THIN, then that means that I'm not really feeling it. Oh....oooops. You should take a long ass hike into the Forests of Wisdom, in hopes that you'll get some, but I wouldn't count on it.

  • @vitaminB100 #1 Yes her voice does sound strained. It has nothing to do with her range it is because she is pushing her voice to try and make it fit this style of music. #2- the size of a singers nose has nothing to do with whether it will sound nasal or not. It is how the singer places the voice in their head. #3- She does not have perfect pitch as is proven by this clip. She is scooping up to the notes and is still often landing just beneath pitch.

  • @radwigs No.1 she's not strained. No.2 yes it does. 3. listen to any number of her live performances. she sings at the exact pitchs she would on albums.

  • @vitaminB100 She is strained. Her placement sucks.

And she doesn't have perfect pitch nor are her live performances in the same key as her studio ones.

  • @vitaminB100 1. It is strained. 2. Nobody has five legitimate octaves. 3. Nose size has nothing to do with voice placement, her voice is simply misplaced. 4. Perfect pitch does not equate to singing perfectly in tune. 5. If she was singing with proper technique and knew how to use her voice properly then making those jumps wouldn't have been an issue. "The simple fact that she doesn't normally sing a spinto role puts her at a disadvantage"- This makes no sense.

  • @tenor220 dude, trust me, people have 8 octaves ranges and ya celine is a 5 octave woman so dont act as if you know everything, weirdo, some people in youtube are just so full of crap

  • @niru54321 That comment alone proves you know nothing about singing.

  • @tenor220 yes yes, i'm sorry for offending you your majesty, i didnt realise that you were one of the best musicians in the world and that celine dion is just full of crap. You should start an anti Celine group your majesty ;) and teach how music is really supposed to sound like.

  • @tenor220 Dude, wth? Ppl cnt hab five octaves? Seriously..? If you know soo much abt music, and if u think her "voice is simply misplaced", why dont u do it?

  • @siya3333 hahahaha lol thts right, mister tenor, (assuming ur a tenor) i dont even think you posses a range of 2 notes, looking at your pathetic shallowness and your motherfucking pride is just like your anal douchebag. im a classical pianist myself and even my teacher is not as fucked up as you. go suck your cock bastard and dont ever listen to celine dion ever again. fucking looser "tenor"

  • @siya3333 I'm in school to be an opera singer. I am "doing it" and to be frank better than her.

I actually don't understand why you people continue to try and argue a side in this when none of you know anything about singing. Would you go to a cancer research conference and argue an opinion without having any previous medical training or expertise? Holy shit I hate obsessed fan bitches.

  • @radwigs How the hell can opera singers do celine dion's songs justice when they thinking belting is a really tedious task, you are sounding really arrogant to me. i respect opera but you DO NOT compare opera singers and amazing pop artists, i don't think diana damrau or sb like tht wud sound gud doing my heart will go on, eh? think properly, not idiotically :)

  • @niru54321 If you would actually read my comments you would see that I said that most opera singers could NOT do justice to Ms. Dion's popular songs. Their voices are just as wrong for popular music as hers is for opera. I have never once said that I don't appreciate Celine Dion's voice. I actually own several of her cds. Just because a singer has a gift for one genre of music doesn't mean they can sing music from any genre. I have heard several opera singer butcher popular music.

  • @radwigs oh sorry, my mistake, lol

  • Can anybody tell me what is she singing? I really would like to listen to this piece.

    Thanx:)

  • what is she singing¿

  • beutty

  • what is the thing she's singing?

  • Oh My God, I love Celine and I loved her even more for this beautiful opera performance...You go girl!

  • hey everyone i dont think its an actuall song...they were just messing around :( i wish it was to though

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody knows the name of this song?

  • i didnt know she sang opera

  • Celine needs to do the operatic stuff more often. I've listened to her for 10 years, and this is the best I've ever heard her sing. EVER.

  • I'm truly amazed:) U are great Celine!

  • what's the name of the song??!?

  • who is the best yes, of course, Celine

  • what is the name of the song????

  • what was that song called!?!

  • simple the best lovet

  • Absolutely flooring!

  • WOWWWWWWWWWWW

  • what is the name of this song!

  • she is seriously out of her mind. or does she do coke?

  • Im lovin this...thanks to my only love Joseph for showin this to me.....I LOVE YOU

  • So effortless like she always does! I'd love for her to record some full operatic songs because we rarely hear her sing int hat type of voice style and she makes it so beautiful. <3

Btw... what language is she singing in here? I can't tell lol.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Fuckin amazing, I love Celine Dion, her voice is so beautiful

  • This is pathetic!

  • Remembers me not in Callas, but very much in Carol Vaness, who was a mezzosoprano first, but then became lyric - dramatic soprano with coloratura. Her Vitellia is the best one I `ve ever heard.

  • @billythebrit I don't suppose you've heard of Linda Eder?

  • Celine Dion is a Godess

  • @manolo1918 sorry, I've pressed the wrong button by mistake

  • effortless <3 and i love it!! <3

  • WOW!!! I'm amazed by how versatile this woman is.

French opera singer Régine Crespin declared 3 years ago that Celine has the same register as Maria Callas. Later in 2008, maestro Kent Nagano declared that Ms. Dion is "a musician who has an accurate ear as well as refinement and a grade of perfection who makes the envy''. Maestro Kent Negano also declared that Ms. Dion is a soprano after she sang for him two extracts of ''Carmen de Bizet''.

  • @promomv4u classy, glam and sexy personified..

  • @promomv4u

That is absolutely ridiculous, Maria Callas had a mezzo soprano/contralto chest voice that was HUGE and a dark metallic timbre, she had also an upper extension up to high F! 3 octaves in total, but her voice was more like a mezzo soprano extended upwards, a soprano sfogato...on the other hand Celine Dion is totally a lyric soprano, nothing metallic or dark about her voice. Her voice and Callas' are nothing alike.

  • @primohomme

yes I highly doubt that Regine could have said something so stupid then again Regine probably knew how much Celine loved Callas but the two voices couldnt be further apart

Celine's operatic placement though sounds quite natural and suprisingly in tune (very slight pitch deviations which ofc completely lack from her non-operatic placement). Pop singers usually are full of bad intonation when they switch to operatic placement even when they can switch ::))

  • @primohomme so true!

  • @bconsitt Yeah you timed it i guesse, the point is celine actually still sings live and very good as to mariah she lips and when she sings live it;s just not the same. But anyways no need discussion cause you will always be a celine hater. Go read on wikipedia what they say about here voice dudes, where they quote a lot of very good vocal coaches. But anyways mariah can still sing miles around me so I'm not a mariah hater i just prefer celine. And do think her technic is better

  • @garyhollander1 honey dont argue with them cause it pointless. they hate celine to her death but she careless cause other love her, and she still has money. even if they dont like her singing she still number one to others in the world of music. bconsitt, chimer, and other one of their buddy(forgot the name) are college students who know nothing and will fight you down about what they dont like. Just be like whatever, on to the next

  • @krishawnathompson Hehehi know but i can;t help i love music in general and hate when people hate on it and try to bash other and put on false statements. The point i was trying to make is that she is a brilliant singer and people who are inspired to sing should mimic her not some of the pop music that;s been putting out there these days with vocal technicians reworking bad vocallists. People should have respect for those in the music industrie who still earn their money by talent

  • @garyhollander1 that how it is. I feel the same way as you but they are what they are haters. They go on every christina, celine, and kelly clarkson video and hate all day you have to look past it.

  • @krishawnathompson Yep. We HATE them with a passion *insert sarcasm*

You guys are as melodramatic as your diva. Well, like diva like stan, eh?

  • @Chimier thanks, it great that you stay on these videos of the people you hate. Yes in the words of xtina i dont have to prove myself. if you dont agree with their technique why come on every video. I'm getting tired of every christina video that came out this year you are on it commenting. you dont like them. WE KNOW ALL READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DONT KNOW THEM. YOU ARE NOT PAYING THEIR BILLS AND THEY CARE LESS. GET A LIFE. GOD BLESS *AS I MARCH OUT TO MAKES MY WANNA PRAY BY CHRISTINA AGUILERA*

  • @krishawnathompson Yawn.....

  • @Chimier I'm glad you know how to do that. You wanna a hand clap or a cookie? I can supply you with some milk. Me, celine, kelly, and xtina on our way over ok. Be there in 20.

  • @krishawnathompson First, supply yourself with a functioning brain and set of wits.

"Me, celine, kelly, and xtina on our way over ok. Be there in 20."- The mark of a ture stan: Act like you know the singer(s).

  • @Chimier we gonna have a pray circle for you too. you down, we down. Maybe whitney will come cause she just loves christina. I love miss whitney and i know you do too.

  • @krishawnathompson Pray that God helps you to live and learn instead of just living. How's that for a prayer? Very good, I think.

I don't miss Whitney, because I get my fill of Whitney everyday since she's my fav singer, but she's living her life, I'm living mine. I don't know her, what am I missing? Her presence in music? Nope, don't miss her. LOL try again.

  • @Chimier Thanks for the prayer. that was cute you tried to come for me. FAIL! Dont get it twisted whitney is number in my heart, i never diss her. You cant drag, go take some lessons.

  • @krishawnathompson Haha dont pay attention to him hes a nobody and a loser.

  • @bconsitt Dudes get your facts straight Mariah released her first single in 1990 how can she have started in 1997. And i haven;t conducted a research but i have been to 12 different vocal coaches and all of them worship celine and her technique. There is even a video on youtube of celebrities talking about her flawless technique, in wich micheal bolton talks about her singing abilities and the artistry in her singing. Sorry i take his word on yours.

  • @bconsitt Jujst shows your ignorance again. I didn't say celine has never lipped i just say it;s idiotic to compare her lipping to a singer that does it more than her. Second of all i don;t know where you get vocal lessons, but most vocal coaches do tell their pupils to listen to dion to see what a masterfull technic she has and she does not sing in the troath. The whispery sound or the breathe sound if not done properly can hurt your voice i'm a singer so i know but you everything better so

  • @bconsitt Yeahh well you have courga eto defend mariah and say that celine preserved her voice by lipping sorry wasen't it mariah that was cought badly lipping a few months ago hahahha. What ever they have all done it, that;s not the point. Sorry but you can ask any vocall coach and most of them will agree that celine has a superior singing technic than mariah. The whispery sound( sexy) wich mariah tries to apply is very bad for your voice and she doesn;t aply it correctly but neverminddiscussio

  • @bconsitt You keep on dreaming on that. Well the fact is celine has preserved her voice Mariah hasen't so i guesse your theorie on mariahs superior singing skills has gone down the drain

  • @bconsitt I do disagree i think that celine can sing the flower duet for suree.

  • @bconsitt Dudes you totally right Mariah resonates in all the right areas and knows how to place everything right, that;s why she has no voice no more. Celine does it in a healthy way that's why she still has IT

  • what song is this

  • what area is this?

  • Que dire?.... qu'elle sait vraiment tout faire...et sans ce forcer.....comment ne pas être Fan....c'est bien la plus belle voix du monde.....techniquement et vocalement......

  • Though her technique would never suffice for a true operatic voice, she can at least produce enough sound to be heard over a piano without having a microphone jammed up her throat (unlike Christina Aguilera when has tried singing with just a piano)

  • OMG!!!! She's really amazing! she can sing anything! <3

  • who;s that guy?, please tell me

  • Does the song that Celine Dion singing, have a name?

  • @bconsitt

Don't forget Minnie Riperton, who would be awesome as a lyric ^^.

  • whats this son?

  • @bconsitt She suffers a high larynx because she can't control its movement. It's not in a neutral position at all.

  • Anyway, this isn't opera at all. Celine is just singing in head voice. It's not a particular style of operatic singing like Wagnerian, bel canto, baroque.

  • @Chimier I know this isn't opera LOL. I think this shows she has a good framework of the opera sound and technique.

  • @elrynx2 Again, there is no operatic sound or technique here, neither an example for a good framework of it. You need to learn about the different styles of opera singing before you can comment.

  • @elrynx2 If anything this shows a LACK of good framework. Her attack of the note is absoutely atrocious, poor breath control, under the pitch. This is not good...at all.

  • @Chimier

I agree, can you believe she wanted to play Maria Callas in a movie and sing the arias herself? AS IF! Celine is a wonderful singer in her own style but operatic...not.

  • @primohomme Yet they still claim that this little showing is classical singing...

  • @primohomme Well if you didn;t know she went to a operatic coach so she could be tested to sing maria callas arias if she would portray the role, and were she was told that she could do it vocally but she would need more operatic training. But i think she sound fine here. Remeber she is a lyricall soprano not a colloratura or dramatic soprano. I i think personally she can sing classical.

  • @garyhollander1 LOL I guess you know nothing about Maria Callas. She was a sfogato soprano, the rarest voice type in classical music. She could sing every role for the contralto to the coloratura and everything in between. Celine could never. She can barely sing this.

This proves Celine CAN'T sing classical. She's struggling to execute a pseudo-aria.

  • @Chimier You idiot i said i'm sure she can sing classical. I didn;t say she had the range of callas nor the type of classical singing that callas does. As i said she is a lyrical soprano. And she sings this very well, she is just kidding around being playfull you idiott

  • @garyhollander1 And I'm saying you're WRONG, stupid. This isn't classical and all this shows is that she doesn't have the skill, discipline or taste for classical.

  • @Chimier I think:D mariah is the only one in modern pop music that is the closest to a sfogato:D but I already had this discussing with you before:D you didn't really think so

  • @dreamdate That's because what she does and what a true sfogato does are totally different. Having a five octave range doesn't make you close to a sfogato at all. It's that simple.

  • @Chimier If you are going to be really pompous about opera you should know that coloratura is a style of singing and not a vocal range. There can be coloratura basses.

  • @radwigs Um, I know that, thanks. But I was referring to coloratura soprano, hence why I started from contralto. You're dismissed now.

  • @Chimier I am dismissed now? Why because I pointed out the flaw in your argument? Coloratura does not accurately describe the highest range of the soprano voice so it is not the opposite of contralto. Therefore I suggest you get off your high horse and quit dismissing others for pointing out your inaccuracy.

  • @radwigs And I already explained what I meant by coloratura. Nowhere did I say it was the "opposite" of contralto, did I? Oh. Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but you take them out now.

  • @Chimier "She could sing every role for the contralto to the coloratura and everything in between." This sounds like the opposite to me. "But I was referring to coloratura soprano, hence why I started from contralto". So you started with contralto, the lowest female range, and ended with coloratura soprano thus implying to mean the highest female range. Sounds pretty much like opposites to me. I am NOT putting words in your mouth just quoting you.

  • @radwigs You said opposites. I didn't. Voice types are opposite to each other in WEIGHT, not RANGE. Why would I imply range when many contraltos, such as Ewa Poodles, have HUGE ranges?

And contraltos have the lowest female TESSITURA, not necessarily RANGE. Oooops. Oh ok.

You're dismissed...again. Next time, try and find something better to do with your life than attempt to correct a comment made over 8 months ago.

  • @Chimier Wow, you hate it when people point out that you are wrong don't you? You can throw out whatever random terms you want but you were using contralto and coloratura soprano in contrast to each other. It doesn't matter if you are discussing WEIGHT, TESSITURA, or RANGE this is an inaccurate comparison. I will now gladly dismiss myself from this discussion.

  • @radwigs LOL but I WASN'T wrong. You came here saying that the coloratura was not a vocal range (though I never said that), THEN out of nowhere you claimed I placed the contralto and coloratura soprano as opposites (when I never did or said any of that), WHILE claiming they were vocal ranges, when they're voice types. Ooops! Who's wrong again? And what was your point? I will continue to refer to the coloratura soprano as "coloratura". Deal with it. Ok.

    You were dismissed before. Next!

  • @radwigs Next time, try and actually point out a mistake I made instead of reaching. I will say it again: Callas can sing every role from contralto to coloratura. You mad?

And nowhere did I compare the contralto or coloratura soprano. Do you know how to read or do you just like adding extra words in to attempt to validate your baseless points? Ah, I see.

You don't even know what vocal range is, yet you're here trying to correct me.

    LOL. Bye now.

  • @Chimier I would be offended perhaps if it weren't clear that I am dealing with a mentally unstable person. LOL. Bye now.

  • @radwigs That's funny. You were the one commenting on something made 8 months ago. Girl bye.

You're obviously offended enough to reply back. Once again, your words bury you. Next.

  • @Chimier I wish you hours of Celine Dion singing Casta Diva to you in your dreams.

  • @radwigs Yawn....

  • @radwigs So much for me being mentally unstable. Boy aren't you a sad case. Get a life. Quickly. The world is running out of them.

  • @radwigs

But contralto is sort of the opposite end of the spectrum in female voices if compared to lyric coloratura soprano....

  • @bconsitt I went to find them to make a reply to one of your guys' comments, not to make a piece of video content which is supposed to be high quality and representative. As if I have a pitch analyzer.. Whitney just might. But let's not talk as if Mariah's head notes are (although impressive) dense and rich in tone. Also, Mariah's resonance in general isn't as good as people purport.
