  • what is this song?

  • I can see the goosestepping slobs now. Heil Hitler, Heil Putin whatever fuck you.

  • '

  • what are those tiny fins addes to the blades? thanks

  • the music is my fav. part

  • this song is a punk here.

Blessed those who doesn't know Russian.

  • Hmmm... Vpieriod! Za soyuz! That is what I hear. I like this powerful and strong notes BTW. Ahh... the revolution... if it only didn't kill so many people.

  • jet engines are as good as sex!

  • i couldnt help but laugh at this video..sorry but its just some blade compressor...whts up with the music man..seriously!!LOL

  • I make this king of pieces every day, because i work for GE.

  • @thorfuss same here, your nemisis Pratt & Whitney

  • Do we need such patriotic music just to show engine blades?

  • to shadowamazon:

This is a "Slav woman's farewell" ("Proschanie slavyanky"). Russian song.

I think such a patriotic music is ok, taking into consideration, that till recent time just a few countries was able to produce turbo-jet engines, so this technology had strategic value.

  • hahahaha ...right man, right !!!

at least they could specify the material xD

probably titanium but who knows ;-)

  • @shadowamazon Shit yeah.

  • @shadowamazon ДА ! ТОВАРИЩ ! ДА !

  • @shadowamazon The music is a welcome change to the over-used Youtube music.

  • @shadowamazon yhy, of course! lol

  • @shadowamazon especially Russian march music %

  • After searching, the song is actually called Farewell of Slavianka, and this version is on iTunes.

  • А музыка такая к теме того, что в СССР и России делались и делаются лучшие в мире турбины?

  • Ahhh music from the mother land Russia... Nice comrade..

  • what song is this?

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about sensation and psychology:

    (1) Why do we enjoy watching jet enjines?

    (2) Why does the high-pitch-sound of the jet engines are so attractive to us?

    (3) Why does jet engines so attractive to many of us?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • applesweeter - I personally appreciate the precision engineering and manufacturing involved in producing a reliable and powerful machine such as a gas turbine.

  • engines* (hate myself for correcting people)

its so awesome.. you can like hear the power. power = awesomeness...

  • I personaly think, AND DONT FRIGGIN LAUGH! it's becouse we all sometimes dream we could fly :)

  • The Power!

  • To: deaftodd

Yes, it is the power. Besides, it is the technology that looks like magic. Jet Engines is in a small size but it is capable to give out tremendous quantity of physical energy. For me, it looks like a magic, which some witchly magic is store inside it and waiting to be released.

  • @applesweeter Jet engines are a high tech thing that amaze many.

that high pitch sound we hear from this turbines we relate it to high power and its the same as an car engine.

and why so many like this, because is freaking awesome :P

  • @applesweeter Are you kidding? Jet engines are Awesome!

  • @applesweeter I think becouse they're symbol of our "high" tecnology, the sound is powerfull and we can bulid and comand it as we want so we are actracted from that sound. The tird motivation, i think, it's becouse human has ever dreamed to fly, and thet engine can let us fly :)

Sorry for my bad english :)

  • @applesweeter

Good question, I have a small model single stage turbine and will start it at night lol

  • @applesweeter (4) Why is this music so anoying?

  • @gusdrach This music is much more annoying then you think. It is kinda "Let the party set the floor" for all people in army.

  • @applesweeter~ ah shut up.

  • the bgm sounds like a chrismas carol here in philippines!! :))

  • Interesting vid, thanks for sharing

  • if anyone can tell what are the names of dimensions used in designing any turbine eg tip angle, etc

  • a LOT goes into making these.. I sawded it on the science channel.

  • OMG!!! I saw it to!!! :D

  • Im new in technical drawing domain. Some one can tell me where I can find the information (drawing technical) about the shaft and blade compressor shape, please???
