I have moments in time where I feel completely overwhelmed by the beauty of this world, but also times where I am completely overwhelmed by the misery, despair and pointless suffering that is in it. It makes me so sad. Just think, those little chimps are as smart as small children. No single living creature deserves to suffer at all, it's disgusting what humans are capable of.
Just imagine, how PERFECT earth would be without homo "sapiens"... now look at us with a TRUE, and autentic eye- and try not to admit it. Unfortunately, good things that we made here, are nothing, compared to what we've destroyed, smashed, killed....with cruelty that is sometimes beyond even our imagination... cancer works the same way on the living organism, that we do on the planet.

There really isn't another way to determine if living things were able to survive the stresses of space travel. It's not pretty but sacrifices have to be made. Keep in mind most of these things were done in the 50's-60's, a time when there really was no other way to test things like this, without computer models or advanced composities for replicas, you can either test it with humans or another species.
We love as much as we hate, As man has set foot time and time again into a new era they have proven themselves to have great cruelty in violence as they greatly share in the warm embrace of love.
Sure animal research is horrible. And when it's done for needless reasons, I'm against it (say for vanity cosmetics). But when it's done for the benefit of the species, so be it.

I know your comment was not aimed at me but after I read it I found a few translations of your 'verse', it means an 'an empathy toward things'. It has derived from a Japanese scholar named Motoori Norinaga, he was born sometime in the eighteenth century. It's meaning is things cannot last, and that is part of the beauty of life, to appreciate what we have for the short time that we have it, at least that's my interpretation of it. Its quite beautiful, and I understand why you mentioned it here.

I'm aeropace engineer so I don't need you to teach me how valuable experiments can be for mankind.
However as a scientific I know to make priorities. Space science is not a science which is necessary. Yeah what is the point to know how to send men in space when funds can be allowed on Disease or Environment research.

This was an experiment too cruel to be tested on humans. He couldn't fit in, was scared of the others, showing signs of insanity. Due to his isolation, being deprived of his mother's love and affection, he lacks social skills and can't fit in anymore.
Information and discoveries come with a price. Sometimes, it is paid by those who are innocent. My heart hurts seeing these images...something must be done. We should pay for our own acts. Not them.
