so happy they won the first round in the court case Arista is going to have to pay! they proved that Arista had promised them their royalties but never followed through and the statute of limitations does not apply as Arista has claimed these many years and a judge in N.Y. is letting it go to trial!! 2011 has been a very good year for the Bay City Rollers can't wait to see what happens next : )

Even after all these years the Bay City Rollers are a legend and my sister and I still love their music. They remind us of the good times of our childhood and each and every one of our children has grown up listening to them and so have the grandchildren! They brought joy to our lives then and still do! Keep on Rockin you guys! Your fans will always love you and pray that you get what is rightfully yours.

What a sad story! I loved & still love the BCR! Hope they get what is rightfully there's. And I hope Tan gets what coming to him too! My kids are 4 & 6 and they love listening to S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. night and all the other BCR songs, I'm teaching them well!  Thanks for posting. xx

There apparently has been another split. Les has his band the Bay City Rollers, but none of the others will join him. Not sure what is going on, Les is very active on his Facebook page. I have tried to get more info. on the others, but only thing I have heard is that Alan was in bad health recently.

@elisabethbun -  there is a press release on Eric Faulkner's myspace page. I see Les is doing shows with "Legendary Bay City Roller" which looks like Les with a bunch of people no one would care about... not cool... I'd have more respect for him doing solo shows... but whatever.

You are absoutely correct. Mr. McKeown admits he has not been the best person to expect the others to run to him, but he does (for good or bad), get more attention thans the others.

I just would love to see all the originals get together, I understand we will probably be throwing snowballs in Hell much sooner! thanks for replying!

I see that Les is doing a concert tour with others of their age, including the Osmonds. if your in the UK keep your eyes and ears peeled for A Once In A Life Time tour...or similar.

I love these guys still to this day. If there were a reunion I would be in the first row at the stage! These guys had a very special place in my heart when I was growing up. Probably saved my ass from drugs. Most of my friends were hanging out doing drugs and I was enjoying most of my time listening to Bay City Roller albums (still listen to them).

Years ago, I met a fellow from Scotland and I asked him about the BCR. He said it was well-known that they used to lipsync at their concerts, half the band was gay, and Leslie was actually a hired singer from New York! hahaha!

@holstenpils I have lived in Edinburgh, and nothing you stated is true. (I am sure that they have done their share of Lipsync on TV, but not in concert usually.

I believe that Alan is gay, but whether he is or not is irrelevant. None of the others are, Les, Woody are both married, and Eric is living with someone (all of them female).

@elisabethbun Derek is gay and has a son who is either a foster child or adopted, Alan is married for the second time and has a son from his first marriage, Les has been married for years and has a son, and Woody is married with no children. I'm not sure about what Eric has been up to.

I'd have thought these guys would have at least pretended to get along, just to get their money? Perhaps, just perhaps, one day we'll get the REAL story, the missing album, the stories, the bust-ups, the fights with dates, times & concerts etc. Recent books have been missing something. Perhaps now Tam has gone?

Instead there'll probably be yet another compilation of re-hashed oldies. It seems that even Arista/BMG cannot get it right.
