There a beautiful emotional side to this music which i don't find in animal collective, this song seems to just slow things down and allow you to really listen
the rest of the band's catalogue is meh...but this song is seriously one of the most chilling, tantalizing, breathtaking songs i have ever heard. it literally stops me in my tracks. the other day i was mowing the lawn and this song came on. I stopped and stood in my yard watching the sunlight flash in between trees while the wind rocked them back and forth.
@iwazused really? At first i had troubles beliving this song could be followed but as im listening to there album more and more im just starting to like each song more and more. its refreshing, Theres strong influence from Sigur Ros and Bjork and so many artists. amazing shit.
@odedesteve: WORD. seriously, this is so fucking cheap. sounds exactly like anco. this song is pretty much the first part of "safer" mixed with their ambient tracks on feels. holy shit this is such a rip off.
I know everyone is making the comparison. But really this bands sound is way too much like Animal Collective for me to listen to it on its own. It's like they just listened to banshee beat on repeat then decided to make a record.
not meant to be a downer, but you moved a couple of seniors (66 and 67);
but, still, the sound is modern, fresh and melodic, with just the right infusion of electronics.................now, fuck you, i wish i were younger, so i'd be able to follow your careerpath for decades
@SunLickTree Hah, I knew someone would catch on. It's BARELY moving, and a bit fuzzed out a discolored. For each song on the album I used a different effect/color scheme/sizing.
I predict that before jan 1st 2015 the first peace of software will produce an album so great , the whole world will adore it. Or is this IT allready?
lucky you. I'm in Melbourne so I hope they come to Australia eventually. Although we have plenty of awesome bands playing here atm eg. Deerhunter, Ariel Pink, Beach House, Foals, Yeasayer, Wavves and more. They do sound like Warpaint a bit who are playing here also, with maybe a more interesting darker and complex sound. I'll get their album for sure. cheers
@danwperry I saw them perform in the Bowery Ballroom in NYC and they were incredible. The hairs on the back of my neck stood during this song. Also, right after they got on stage i got to talk to them, and they were incredibly down to Earth, and I told them they're quite like Warpaint, but with a fresher, more ambient and feral sound. Kudos to them, and their album drops today!
This sounds a little too much like Strawberry Jam. Did Avey Tare get a sex-change?

okay probably the best I've heard for the Polaris Music Prize, but I'm sorry, The Weeknd is most deserving this year.

@iwazused While I agree with you that this song is absolutely stopping in its' beauty, the rest of Native Speaker was pretty damn good in my opinion.
