i just want to know, when she wipes after taking a poop how does she know her butt is clean? I mean, she really can't check the toilet paper and setting a fixed number of wipes won't work: wouldn't she have to see what the fixed number should be? plus, when i shit the number of wet wipes required for a pristine clean varies from sitting to sitting: the number isn't fixed. feel method fails: the absence of a greasy feel back there is misleading. how, exactly, do the blind check for a clean ass?

Hey ABC, you said it was the cornea not being transparent that made you blind, are the rod and cone cells in the retina still working? Is the lens? I was just curious as it would seem like there would be some way to breech the opacity of the cornea and to allow light in. I realize there probably isn't to contemporary medicine or you wouldn't be blind but it would strike me odd if opaque skin is the only thing between you and sight.

the "would you date a deaf person" question makes me think of an issue of the comic Daredevil,where he went to watch a movie with a deaf woman he was dating,they were the worst people one could have siting in front of you.

But if your Corneas have problems... they can easily be replaced! The most common form of blindness world wide is from Corneal scarring, its curable with corneal transplants. What's even better is that there is no waiting list for corneal transplants! You can get them from anyone (cadavers of recently dead or brain dead mostly). There is no immunologic rejection.

Have you ever considered that? It's probable that your retinas may still work fine after so long (they only deteriorate in infancy)

I've had 3 transplants and all three were rejexted, even with immunosuppresants.

Bloody hell, sorry to hear that. I have never actually seen a corneal rejection before. I thought it wasn't possible. Back to the books then... still got a lot to learn.

About 90% don't get rejected, but don't pin me down on that number. However, after a first rejection, chances that it happens again grow exponentially.

It's difficult. We have the same problem, although for different reasons.

Take it one day at the time, that's our solution. When the time comes to make a decision, we will... But for now, we try not to focus on that too much.
