I saw them play this song both times I saw them when they were in Florida in January. This song definitely reminds me of Nirvana's Lounge Act. Love it though.
Everyone is saying Nirvana, i'm thinking more Pixies. THere would be no Nirvana without the Pixies show some respect. Andy rocks but Black Frances is cooler
finally, someone who knows their rock history! haha thanks brandnewstew! nirvana is ok, but the pixies really laid down the foundation for the whole grundge rock movement. and i hear more of the pixies in this one.
I remember this song and thinking..."oh yes!a new song" and i thought it was amazing.I just know the new CD is going to for sure 'live' up to the expectations.(if you know what i'm sayin)..figuratively speeking
.... and how about when Andy sang the song Where Have You Been...? He..umm, was emotional...but RAD!
Really great song, the grunge inspiration is very strong. the opening chords and verse picking sound very nirvana to me. Also I noticed that guitar he's using is the exact same as kurt's(including the black on black color). None the less Manchester's great and the new direction their taking is sounding great and I am very excited for their next album.
Manchester Orchestra can do this due to the fact their not like every other shitty band..They are the shit.U cant just classify them as indie rock or alternative their Just MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA ANDY IS AMAZING AT WRITING...they are who they are..not a new direction just the music they wanna play..and amen to that im sick of hearing the same of albums over and over again...GO MANCHESTER IM SEEIN U TOMARROW FOR THE 4th time heck ya
If you look at their ep and the Nobody Sings Anymore cd, this song could just be the one that stands out and is entirely different from the rest of the songs on the cd. They each had one. Plus, judging from every other new song I've heard from them, the new cd is going to have a much more calm tone to it.

You can definatley feel the Nirvana influence in this song,
the new record is gonna be amazing.
If you've ever heard anything from their un-released album "Nobody sings anymore"
then you will find small similarities between this song and some from that album, it has more of a punk edge feel to it.

sooo much nirvana influence the last time i saw them the solo of this song reminded me of pennyroyal tea
and they said they are recording in june after andy gets married

Lets just hope he doesn't kill himself in a few years. I would be devastated.
