Wow. This is the first time I have seen this video. It is a beautiful song and the use of the video is perfect. I always felt that he loved her and that she was mesmerized by him, but he was not of her world and she had to go back... This is one of my favorite movies. I can watch that dance over and over. I may listen to this song over and over tonight. lol. To those who don't see it, they don't know anything and their opinion doesn't matter. I agree w/ you cyran.

the vid was beautiful but i think what made this movie something was that sarah didnt pick jareth. she had a responsibility and in a way jareth was showing her that. (take his last song for instence..i believe in you..) jareth was what sarah made him to be. but i believe there will always be UST for sarah bcuz of this lol!

A 2nd Labyrinth exists, but it is not a movie, it's a manga focused on Sarah's brother, Toby. I've read only the 1st one. Toby is a teenager, and Jareth wants him to become the new Goblin King.
It's about this girl called sarah and one night when she's baby sittin, her baby brother really pisses her off so she summons up the goblin king who takes him away to his castle and sarah has to fight her way through this labrynth filled with some seriously wierd shit, honestly the person what wrote this must have been on drugs, anyway so the goblin king falls in love with her and invites her to live in his castle with him, i'll leave you to find out the ending yourself =] hope you like it...=]

aww thats too bad, what i think is the skill to make the characters, and barely any computer animation, i love movies that try to make the parts real, i know of newer movies that use computer graphics of poor quality and shows that they didnt put as much time into the movie. what i like is something that convinces me that it is real!! i got to see this movie some time, it looks really good.

Granted David Bowie was a lot older than the girl in the movie but I think that if you surrender yourself to thinking he's more of an immortal or ageless being rather than a pervy or old man it becomes much more endearing.
Labyrinth fans have been debating and discussing for years whether Jareth really is a nasty villain who was trying to trick her or if her was really in love with her and lacked the ability to correctly express those feelings and instead acted like a schoolyard bully who has a crush on you so he pulls your hair.
I tend to think he really had feelings for her but his deviousness and cunning crippled him from being able to truly express his love to her, and she was so young that she had no concept of a darker, adult love...which is one of the many reasons why she rejects him.
But thats just my 2 cents...everyone looks at it differently and I enjoyed your comment.
I absolutely believe that Jareth has feelings for Sarah. He's been alone for so long and he doesn't know any other way to express his feelings. But that's only my opinion...

I am reading the sequal comic books and Jareth IS kind of like an Immortal who had fallen in love with someone from the Human world. He is a magical being that has been around for a long time. As far as I am concerned if the other is Immortal.. age does not count as a factor.
jereth really does love sarah & he wants to be withher but she is only there for her baby brother& on her quest she realizes that she has to grow up so that is why i thinks she told him that he has no power over her at the end of the movie & yes you can feel jereth's sadness in this video thanks for posting

I've always preferred seeing the film as all projections from Sarah's mind. On the other hand, if you do see the Goblin King as having a reality of his own, I've always found Bowie's portrayal to contain a certain kind of sadness, that gives the character such depth. Nifty vid.

I love this video!! But then again who couldn't love it? David Bowie is simply an amazing actor and he makes each person who watches this feel things.
This movie is the best childrens/romance movie ever made! A very beautiful story!!

ive always seen an underlining love story. the song he sings her in the end within you. hes a darker being so his love comes across more sinister because he is trying to force her to return his love through manipulation although if you really stop to think about it he was only giving her what she asked........

I'll say, really good video, but am I the only one that's not just a little creeped out by the hinting of a relationship between them.
I mean, the whole movie (even though she's a teen) they play her off as a almost a little girl, and he's so old.
And then the whole dance scene, he's trying to distract her from making it to her brother and protecting him, completely manipulating her emotions.
I know he's lonely, but that's not real love at all.

Granted David Bowie was a lot older than the girl in the movie but I think that if you surrender yourself to thinking he's more of an immortal or ageless being rather than a pervy or old man it becomes much more endearing.

Labyrinth fans have been debating and discussing for years whether Jareth really is a nasty villain who was trying to trick her or if her was really in love with her and lacked the ability to correctly express those feelings and instead acted like a schoolyard bully who has a crush on you so he pulls your hair.

I tend to think he really had feelings for her but his deviousness and cunning crippled him from being able to truly express his love to her, and she was so young that she had no concept of a darker, adult love...which is one of the many reasons why she rejects him.
But thats just my 2 cents...everyone looks at it differently and I enjoyed your comment.

I absolutely believe that Jareth has feelings for Sarah. He's been alone for so long and he doesn't know any other way to express his feelings. But that's only my opinion...

I am reading the sequal comic books and Jareth IS kind of like an Immortal who had fallen in love with someone from the Human world. He is a magical being that has been around for a long time. As far as I am concerned if the other is Immortal.. age does not count as a factor.

jereth really does love sarah & he wants to be withher but she is only there for her baby brother& on her quest she realizes that she has to grow up so that is why i thinks she told him that he has no power over her at the end of the movie & yes you can feel jereth's sadness in this video thanks for posting

I just finished watching Labyrinth and I LOVED IT! Jareth is my favorite character (despite the fact I don't like David Bowie but I liked him as Jareth). Beautiful job on this vid, I thought Jareth loved Sarah.

I've always preferred seeing the film as all projections from Sarah's mind. On the other hand, if you do see the Goblin King as having a reality of his own, I've always found Bowie's portrayal to contain a certain kind of sadness, that gives the character such depth. Nifty vid.

Aww, the dancing scene makes me want to cry sometimes. Not only is it beautiful, but Jareth has that pained expression when she runs away from him to get out.
