in 40 plus years this is the best amateur radio film I have ever seen, well done to the production team behind the scenes and thanks for posting here on-line
thanks for the video. It´s a document that should be aired even on some tv channel... Congratulations to all the team that made this in 2001 and thanks for uploading it.
Nice collection you have. I am also in the market for a meerchaum pipe. There are some nice ones on Ebay you should check out. I am also a ham opperator. 73's VE6GTA
Thanks for sharing such a great piece of ham radio history with us. It would be a pity if this gets lost in an archive. This is definitevly meant to be published, should also be a part of the education of new radio amateurs.
Thank you for this awesome video. I've always been captured by the arctic atmosphere. I wish I had been there with them. I also loved the teamwork and the genuine abnegation Russians have toward this beautiful hobby called ham-radio. Great job indeed.
This was awesome! This is the best amateur radio related film I have ever viewed! Thanks for posting so that others will have the opportunity to view this incredible piece of history!

@sterwing They were pretty dedicated. The one time in the movie where they arrived at one of the Islands, and forgot to get the generator started quickly, while it was still "warm"... that was a pretty stressful time, I bet. Having the generator freeze up and not start is not good! I will say that I would love to have this sort of adventure, though. :)
