Ahh this brings back so many memories...I played this game for nearly 3 years, at first, it was amazing and everyone had so much fun, but then it just died... it became too competitive and now it's all just about the equips you have...it was so hard for me to quit after playing so long, but I haven't played for about half a year now and I still wish it was like it used to be...

OK wow everybody back and forth who made this game, in 2007 a korean company made the game called "Granado Espada" it was fairly popular non p2p game that sold items in "cash shops" like most free p2p games. Later i believe in 2008, the American company K2 bought rights to the game to publish it America with the title of "Sword Of The New World" (A.K.A. SotNW) there are TWO versions of this game however, you can either download "Granado Espada" (Korean servers) OR "SotNW" (NA servers)

@bladerunnertx not to offend you but the "primary" version of "Granado Espada" is actually Malaysian, and the name "Sword Of The New World" is actually dated out to a version of Granado Espada that came out as p2p for the United States, now the K2 version of the game is called "Sword 2" and that one is f2p =), sorry if you disagree, but these are the facts that I was told from IMC *the developers of the game*

@bladerunnertx but yes the original "Granado Espada" is from Korea and that was released about a year early which I believe was 2006 *if I can recall* either way the game was way ahead of it's time when it was released, so I do believe it won best game and best graphics or the year *which is understandable*

I've played a lot of games in my life, and plenty of decent MMO's. But Granado Espada had one of the most eloquent and authentic designs behind it. And the music just made you more into the characters of your family.

This game still stands in my books as finest use of music in any game.

@crazychilidog I agree in terms of design and music, but the gameplay took a serious dive to me due to doing the grindfest model that Korean MMOs are so known for. That and lack of character customization serious hurt the game. A shame since GE is beautifully designed and the concept of three characters to one player is/was a fresh idea for an MMO.

Listening to this piece, its more of a sonatina than a minuet, because at the end of the song, it returns to the beginning melody and its to long to be a minuet. But at the same time, it has only one movement, so its a mixture of a sonatina and a minuet.
