Will there be a Final Fantasy VII [REMAKE]

We supporters, all know that it needs to be remade already. lol Seriously its lame how the recent add-ons to the FF series have sucked more and more... If they just remade FF7 in FFXII graphics I'd be happy... Not to mention the free camera FFXII has so we can look at the awesome scenery. :D This is only possible if SE and the original makers had a good amount of time to make a masterpiece as FF7 Remake would be.

Final Fantasy is never going to end as long as Square is still around. Reason being is because Final Fantasy has been around since they were founded it was Final Fantasy that saved Square from being put out of buisness. So the day they stop making Final Fantasy is the day Square gets shut down for good.

You can play 7 if you download it. Currently I don't know what ones exactly play... If you get one that are compatible with ps1 games then tactics and VIII, might work. Google it and find out.

Comidically we can say they won't stop making new Final fantasies until Final Fantasy 5,000! That's how much hope I have when it comes to them saying that they may do the remake after they get done with all the other new Final fantasies. Maybe it will end at FFXX... Ha! That's for Square Enix to decide...

SQUARE ENIX is either bad with buisness or dont care about the money. If they go with what fans want then they will rack up MUCH more money! I honestly think Final Fantasy XIII was crap for a Final Fantasy game, for one it's way too linear, making it a fairly easy game. But then again, they might be saving an Final Fantasy VII Remake as a surprise for E3 2011 or 2012. The only part i agree with them not being able to remake it is that it's a bit hard being a fairly massive game :)

Half Japanese Half American here, finished FFXIII like week after it came out in Japan. FFXIII personally aside from the awesome graphics the game was HORRIBLE. For true old school RPG lovers that game was so bad... SE should of remade FFVII than make FFXIII.... Thats how bad I felt about the damn game. 20 hours of tutorials is just dumb as hell...

People keep saying that there's no remake in sight, but honestly, no matter how old these quotes are, they were still said. Plus, they've been loaded with game's to work on for ever now, who says that if/when they have a bit more time, that they wont make a remake of this awesome game?

The music from Before Crisis is amazing, i have the soundtrack so its in its original quality, not the phone quality. The president of Square was teasin the fans askin them 'do they want a remake' so they are definatly thinking about it. I think it'll be in the works after XIV.

Square Enix says the original staff wants to remake Final Fantasy VII for PS3, but the remake is not in development at this time. The possibility of a Final Fantasy VII remake for PS3 depends on Square Enix's development schedule. The Crisis Core staff and AC staff would be involved in the FF7 remake project. If they were to remake it I would no want them to do just a graphics overhaul. They would definitely need to add more to the game without changing the original plot. Such as mini-games and maybe some playtime as sephiroth. But definitely fill in the gaps of the original as far as the storyline goes.

My opinion is, as long as they make good games, such as the classics (I to X), its fine. Cuz after the tenth, it has lost originality(dunno about ff11, aint mentioning it). X-2 and 12 has nthin to do with the classics. Since they have turned into square enix, they have lost imaginarity! (or smthing like that =P)

My opinion is that the remakes could save square. I'm not the only one with this opinion, and i hope square really continues with good games. The ff series marked my life =P Peace

Remaking Final Fantasy VII is a terrible idea. Grant it, SE will probably do it as the last project of their wretched compilation for more money, but that won't make it as good as the original. The gameplay would be severely outdated by today's standards, especially if it would be on the likes of the PlayStation 3. And if they did update the battle system, it would more than likely be like Final Fantasy XII, and we all know how the fans had mixed opinions on that game.

IMO SE has been working on the remake since the Tech Demo was released. They said it would take them around 5yrs to actually make a remake of FFVII. So, I am guessing we won't hear news of a remake until 2010 at the earliest. I'm sure the reason XIII keeps getting pushed back is b/c everyone wants to keep working on FFVII :)

I can resonate with him, he wants the complete original cast to do something that exclusive so nothing goes wrong. They should even keep the "This guys are sick" gag for the hell of it. Hopefully, the original cast agrees on it.

They need to look through Fan Sites, Petitions, Forums, Videos, and all the people that would pay 60-100$ for a copy. Or they need to make a Blu-Ray with as many FF they can fit on there. Perhaps 3-4 discs with all the FF franchize in one! Includidng FFVII new and improved and old =P
