its nothing like cod4, america's army is strictly about realism, u get shot a couple times and ur dead, depending on where ur hit and such. i played all AA games leading up to this one cuz its too big for my pc to handle :P :(

First of all, good choice, second, dont mention cod4, b/c we have too many people say the game isnt good and cod4 is better. This game is realistic..

Third, yes, you have to complete the "challenges"(Training) to get the attachments, and the attachments help alot!

i still play it, it's definitely worth getting. But if you like games like combat arms or any other game like that where you get close to the person, don't get it, cuz you wanna stay as far from them as possible. VERY realistic combat simulation. So it's your call

well .... u need to install the deploy client first , or u can download the game through steam

i recomend to install steam and make an account .. it`s easier and the patching of the game is automatically.

depending on your internet speed it can take one hour or 5 hours ;)

Never mind, dude. Game runs, but like old AA, I got an unplayable mouse response. This is a problem that occurs frequently. My system config is Core2Duo, 3GB RAM, Geforce 8600. I Play COD4 and it runs easily, without a shade of mouse lag.

i`d say teamplay, rules of engagement, if u did play AA 2 , u understand ;), if not , i suggest to install it and see for yourself . it`s a good game , unfortunately it needs a serios update , cause this first version (dispaite the patches) is laggy and full of bugs .

... i play AA since 2006 and it really is amazing how much it improved since then ... we just have to be patient, i am sure the programmers will do a good job

Well I played AA since day 1 untill they patched it and everybody got the far distance sniper style SF weapons wich changed the game play from realistic gameplay to sniper heaven. I like the good old ironsights or the non zooming red dot ironsights. I'm an expert on CQB maps, I played several years on WC and Pipeline but I didn't like the wider maps and the gameplay on it so I gave AA up.I 've been playing Red Orchestra and I just picked up Arma 2 but I kinda miss AA as well.
