My mum is persian and I love the culture, music and dance and whilst I do admire the sociability of persian gatherings and also the way men and women dancing together is more subtle and not always all about getting down and dirty, there is still a part of me that wonders why the mans side of the dancing is not a bit more macho, like say the latin americans who are still graceful.
