its just that the odd grander that comes along (1 or 2 a season if we are lucky) is kept because it is an awesome capture and is a once in a lifetime fish, as long as it is not wasted then i see no problem at all with keeping it.

@connora1994 i have no problem with killing the odd fish, and i know the impact is minimal compared to what longlines are doing. Just dont put it on youtube as the non fishing public and the greens dont realise how many fish are released compared to those weighed. They see game fishing as a cruel blood sport. Just check out some of the comments. I have "released" dead billfish that i couldnt revive just so that no-one at the port could see a dead billfish and pass judgement on gamefishermen
