yeah, melcano1, i tend to forget a lot of little things like tongue position and things like that, but i ended up getting a 1+ and when i took it to state, i sped up the end, but thanks for your input :)
Good job. Thats awesome. What state do you live in?
Also the clarinet professor at the University of the Pacific told me that if you play with your head higher it's easier to control your air. Just another thought.
I wish I could have done this song for a competition this year.
good job dood. A few tips though. When you play high notes, try to remember to raise the tounge higher at the beginning of the note. The high Ab in the cadenza started a little flat but then you kind of scooped it up. I sometimes have trouble remembering the tounge position.
Also, you should play the ending a little faster. I know you can do it because you played it so well at the tempo you did. I think youd get extra points if you pushed yourself a little bit all through out the piece.
This is so awesome Lucas!! It is really good and I don't know how you can plan for that long and not run out of air!! Anyway congrats on getting a 1+ your awesome!!!!
how old where you when you played this? I am playing it right now for a concerto competition

I find it annoying the acoustics of the rooms that they make you do solo and ensemble are always pretty bad. But good playing though.
