It's actually extremely hard to get a green card in the US, it takes approx. 9-12months. And at the same time, a relatively high amount of Mexicans don't have the required skills to do many of the jobs in the US, there are many barriers such as Language.
Many Mexicans just don't match the required skills. I'm European (German) and spent 1,5 years in Mexico. I also do know the San Diego-Tijuana border. But even for highly qualified Europeans it can be a hard struggle to obtain a Green Card. A friend of mine now lives in NYC. It took him 3 years and some good connections even though he's young,healthy,well educated and without crime records. We got the same issue with the borders of the European Union.

Personally if I was running America I'd let every Mexican, central American and South American who wanted to come to America in and we'd all deal with the problems that'd cause as a whole. Sounds naive as fuck but in reality its not I just don't believe in one country staying rich while other countries are poor. If all countries share their resources then we'll all be moderately poor. No more dirt poor impoverished shitholes like Somalia and Liberia.

I didn't know that about the settlers. Irish weren't just surfs google Irish slaves and you'll see what I mean. Lots of native groups were nomadic and moved depending on the time of year. Lots of them would have crossed where the border is now.

Brazil is about as multicultural as a country gets but the reason the crime rates so high in my opinion is because people are so poor. Brazils a cool place despite it being a 3rd world country imagine what it'd be like if it was even a semi wealthy country. Multiculturalism is the way to go.

I'm an illegal immigrant about to graduate from UCLA. I did not cross the border but my father did. People come here to obtain a better life, not to be terrorists and take the jobs of others. Most immigrants perform low-skilled jobs that citizens do not want to do. Immigration is needed in a capitalist state to bring down cost of production. There is no way to legalize one's status or to come here legally because of politics. People are here to work so their families can have a better life.

The problem isn't immigration, it's ILLEGAL immigration. Countries have a right to borders and to decide who comes in and who doesn't. Without borders, countries don't exist. Many wonderful people in America are immigrants from Mexico, but immigrants should follow the laws of the country they enter. If there is no way for people to come in legally, then they shouldn't come in. Mexico IS a rich country with fertile farmland, vast natural resources, but a corrurp government permitting poverty.

It's actually extremely hard to get a green card in the US, it takes approx. 9-12months. And at the same time, a relatively high amount of Mexicans don't have the required skills to do many of the jobs in the US, there are many barriers such as Language.

Many Mexicans just don't match the required skills. I'm European (German) and spent 1,5 years in Mexico. I also do know the San Diego-Tijuana border. But even for highly qualified Europeans it can be a hard struggle to obtain a Green Card. A friend of mine now lives in NYC. It took him 3 years and some good connections even though he's young,healthy,well educated and without crime records. We got the same issue with the borders of the European Union.
