  • its faster then atom, cheaper then culv. pretty much perfect in my book. its too bad we will have to wait until the next gen to get good power consumption(they still use 65nm for neo).

  • ddr2 mem, Athlon Neo X2 L325 processor(1.6ghz).

  • kICK ASS PRODUCT ;P

  • Is it me or does his mouth move too much?

  • ya lol

  • He speaks like Terminator on steroids hehe.

  • That laptops need OLED screens ASAP.

A Turion II + HD4200 is one hell of a deal.

  • Lolimaster,

Introducing a OLED display to this laptop would skyrocket the price and the whole purpose of the laptop serie would be killed.

  • "That laptops need OLED ASAP."

    1.OLED sucks with sunlight.

    2.Less lifespan

3.Consumes more power except if the color is black

4.Can be easily damaged by water

    5.Manufacturing processes are expensive.

  • cartoony guy.

  • thats an idiot. how is multitasking limited on a netbook? my netbook even has hyperthreading (intel atom), so what? i would suggest they put a non-limiting OS on it, like linux, preinstalled. so i dont have to pay for that shit microsoft license, but all in all looks like a good subnotebook. would buy sth like that.

  • hyper threading is a redundant system. it breaks information into 2, and passes each piece through the processor, instead of 1 giant piece. this does nothing but slow down your loading time, if the processor can't handle the info coming in, then maybe they should hit the drawing board, instead of trying to fix its downside with redundancy.

the intel atom, is amazing, considering its 1.6ghz, single core, and can do a lot, but amd's single cores are better, faster, and doesn't need hyperthread

  • maybe, but still, he lied about the multitasking capabilities of netbooks, because it isnt limited. of course a netbook w/ intel centrino is faster than atom, but I enjoy looking at smp better.

  • He did not LIE about multitasking capabilities of netbooks as it is naturally limited due to the single-core design. Multitasking isn't focused at being able to have a web-browser and MSN on at the same time but per todays standards much more demanding applications running simultanously.

One core is EXTREMELY limited in multitasking capabilities - try render a video and do anything else while it runs on a single-core setup.

  • thats not a problem on my netbook. specifically on my netbook there is a problem w/ overheating because of the intel gma950 chipset these old AOA150 have inside. of course it will run slower on a atom compared to a xeon or opteron, but as long as your operating system does allow you to priorize, you can go well.

  • He looks abit like syller from heroes lol

  • Agreed.

But Sylar have style :D He'

  • @0150steveo be quiet, nobhead

  • As much as I love AMD desktop products, i've never bought a laptop unless it had Intel inside,

  • @krjcook

look up tom's hardware video card rankup

if you got that Intel GMA crap ... you're getting ripped off

  • When I said, " I only buy Intel for Laptops", I meant CPU's. I make sure the laptop I buy use a dedicated GPU whether it's ATi, or nVidia. Fuck that cheap integrated shit.

  • i have one

  • For mobile GPU's AMD is the only way to go right now, if you don't intend to pay twice your desktop price for the same stuff.

I got a HP Pavilion dv-6 2003 a month ago with a AMD Athlon II X2 ~2ghz with a HD4650 for ~550€ and I'm amazed how fantastic it performs for such an affordable package - something Intel would never be able to deliver with their discrete chips.

  • Cool looking laptops.

  • I LOVE MY LITTLE DV2 (the one hes reviweing)

    GREAT LAPTOP.

  • what's wrong with his mouth? o.O

  • Yeah he looks real Evil at 1:07

  • I like the look=)

    amd and ati...never had problems=)

  • @hootis8 yeah

  • I can surf the web? O really can I? (which current PC is not fast enough for that) o.O

Play games? Which one? Crysis on full settings at full resolution?

Well if the Notebook does have an HDMI output the video capabilities are pretty cool. However, you need an HDMI (or DVI) out connection so it's really usefull. Watching 1920 x 1080 videos on a 15'' screen is not exciting.

BTW: at 0:22 you can see that the Notebook has a mirror finish on it's display. I would never buy one of those!

  • I think you just don't get my point. May the idea is "being able to run a decent GPU" but if this should be some kind of advertising it's not really good.

0:31 "It can also play games; you can surf the web; you can enjoy photos, videos"

It's like a car seller says that you can even drive with their cars and the tires are included. Even Netbooks are fast enough to surf the web and play games watch photos and videos. If they want to say that their GPU is good they should specify what it can do

  • I'm talking about normal (mini) HDMI or DVI connection on your Laptop. Some Notebooks only have VGA or S-Video (If they have any) connections which is not enough for Full HD. Of course you need a Full HD Display to use Full HD content, but you can't display Full HD content using a VGA cable.

So even your Laptop is may able to handle Full HD content does not automatically that you can connect a display with the appropriate resolution.

  • This is why intel takes it in the butt.

  • i like amd and my desktop pc is pure amd with an phenom 9950 @ 3,4ghz & hd4870 1gb - enough to play all games with highest settings at full hd 24" samsung syncmaster ;)

however - i just got a notebook with an intel core2duo p8700 € 2,53ghz and a gtx260m - this baby was the best bang for the buck for a notebook system :) i just wanted a notebook which can play all the games with high settings when i go to a lan party etc ;)

i love both my systems :)

  • AMD is GOD no uber GOD

  • i am more into AMD's graphics card

  • good

    from italy

  • amd 4ever .<3
