A Letter of Marque is a warrent issued to ship captains like Privateers, Pirates, or in this case Sea Shepphard to attack ships opposed by the nation who issued it. It would allow Seas Shepphard to sink Japanese Whaling ships and return to US ports for necessities wihtout fear of arrest or detention in the US.

If I had my way, Congress would be issuing every ship in the Seas Shepphard's fleet a Letter of Marque. The US can still do that, it never signed the Treaty of Paris. A Letter of Marque is a warrent issued to ship captains like Privateers, Pirates, or in this case Sea Shepphard to attack ships opposed by the nation who issued it. It would allow Seas Shepphard to sink Japanese Whaling ships and return to US ports for necessities wihtout fear of arrest or detention in the US.

What really irks me is that the International Whaling Commission [IWC] has rules that prohibit alot of what the Japanese whaling fleet is doing, including a ban on factory ships, which process whales in large scales. Why doesn't the IWC Enforce its rules. It's a UN Agency, techically they can give the go ahead for world navies to sink the Japanese whaling ships for breaking the IWC's laws. I think the IWC is sympathetic to the the Sea Shepherd and its fleet and quietly cheers them on.

Actually, the UN has no more jurisdiction in international waters than anyone else. The idea that the Japanese are even doing anything illegal is up for debate. Regardless of what propaganda machines pump out, the Japanese are reporting ALL of their scientific findings regarding the whale populations from which they sample. The assumption that they're actually whaling for profit is just that: an assumption.

Whaling is illegal. Ans it happens in the Australian territory. Look what the Japanese do in their own country with whales and dolphins (for example Taiji)
This is not human, it's awfull.

Though there is a limitation, whaling is admit by the international treaty. "illegal." is a lie. Then, this happened on the open seas. Obvious lie is "awfull". Then, it is discrimination to sympathize only with the whale in the thing eating a cow and a pig. Discrimination is "sick", of course.

I applaud the crews of the whaling ships for continuing to do there jobs even after being brutaly atacked over and over by the terrorist groups known as sea shepard and greenpeace. (both of these groups are on the active terroist lists of 38 countries including the US and Britan)
