@wildcorvair I wasn't there, but from this video, all that's popping out of the hood are a set of twin carbs and a ram air cleaner. Just cause it's sticking out of the hood, doesn't mean it's a blower. Could be a tall tunnel ram intake. Just saying.

@carlos9841 Its the intake for a 6-71 or 8-71 roots type supercharger, cowl induction is just a cowl hood with provision for sucking in air near the base of the windshield as it is believed at high speeds a positive pressure builds up and allows for an almost supercharing effect. This is only effective at speeds of 100+mph

Had to mention this one. The malibu came with a v6 but put a healthy 355 built for a mud/monster truck man it had lots of torque.Before I had durl exhaust put on it there was a 12 inch pipe in place of the converter and there was some chicks outside on my own street.I drop it into 1st cause with the worn out v6 springs that drivers wheel would come up close to a foot.Well I heard a boom metal rolling my car was loud and exhaust draging.ego took over long burnout with just a Ypipe rest draging
