  • Hey Awesome photos bud! You have skillz. The song makes the photos weep.

  • This song is very inspiring, I once wrote a poem just by listening to it. Ray's music devotes my soul to far away journeys through beautiful lands where real beauty of our spirits can be found...

  • this song is beautiful

what kind of camera did you use?

  • In my opinion Ray Lamontagne is the best vocalist and lyricist that has come along for a very long time. His music climbs inside your heart and doesnt' let go.

  • I LOVE SO MUCH RAY LAMONTAGNE , HE IS A GENIUS

  • Great shots. You're right, this song is very fitting.

  • this song reminds me of everything I've ever lost. Sometimes the I feel like the world is against me. I always cry when I listen to this song. It helps though. The music. Thank you.

btw beautiful pictures, id like to go there sometime.

  • does anyone else hear something different than 'i'd rather breathe than drown in sorrow'? i just can't make it out :s

  • @InBloodChains no thats what he sings :)

  • This song is hauntingly beautiful<3

  • This never gets old. This video is so well-crafted and lovely. Beautiful! Thank you for bringing this to YouTube.

  • Beautiful Song......Beautiful Photgraphs!!

  • the most beautiful song I've ever heard. it's helping me to grieve as a friend is now in the process of dying. "Why did you go?' :(

  • fabulous photos, keep up the good work!

  • Wonderful song and a music. The photos are excellent choice too. Such a perfect job.

Thank you very much for sharing with me. I was listening to it while i was falling asleep last night.

  • Damn. I feel in love with a girl who introduced me to Ray with this song. The song is fitting now. Makes me miss her.

  • You have an amazing eye. These pictures are beautiful.

  • This is the slow dance song of the century

  • amazing pictures! this song ismy life right now.

  • song is awesome,no doubt and arguement about that..however it's about a girl's going away..so as you can see there's no connection about graveyard..but if you say she's gone and i'm dead...well that's a bit true then :)

  • Actually the song is about death. "Laid blessings on the ground"..."stay and watch the coals, until they cease to glow", it's about loss of life, losing a loved one.

  • Heartfelt...

  • Beautiful song choice and you have great talent for photos but... a cemetary. Sorry , you lost me there!

  • what lost you? the song really fits the mood of a cementary, not to mention that universal meaning of a graveyard: death. Maybe LaMontagne didn't write this song for a gone loved one, but it could be construed that way.

  • Beautiful photography.Picked a pefect song score to accompany the pics.Breathtaking. Thanks for sharing.Keep up the beautiful work you have a special gift.

  • i never know a man as sad as him

  • Try Damien Rice, I don't Know who broke his heart, but that person ripped him apart

  • Have you seen that duet that Ray and Damien do together? It's here on YT and called "To Love Somebody". They sound awesome together.

  • those two need to do a disc together! Hell Damien just needs to put out some more music, things wont be the same without Lisa.

  • Oh, I know! An album would be better. Damien has lost a lot in losing Lisa. How's 9 Crimes or volcanos ever going to be the same?

  • Oh i love to hear those guys do a whole album, maybe cover each others songs. Love to hear Damien sing "all the wild horses", or " Till the Sun turns black". And imagine Ray singing "the blowers daughter" or "cold water". But yeah Damien lost a whole lot when he Lisa left. I cant even imagine how he will do those songs.

  • 'Tis a great art that thou composed here.

They fit well with the most tragically beautiful song ever.

  • hey bobbness! Will you add the cd version on Sarah? I love it so much but can only find the live versions! I have the album and I miss it once i get to work.

  • O.k., this is the song that just five days ago, I heard for the first time in a friend's car, on a short roadtrip, and immediately fell in love, was moved to the core of my being, and knew I had to hear more of this artist. This is the song that led me to listen to every Ray L. song posted on you tube over the last three nights. I wondered who the artist would be that would turn my nearly two year crush on Brandi Carlile (her music, that is) to their attention. And the winner is........Ray!!!

  • Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them and putting this song up!

  • chilling to see this song with these pictures, but in a good way.

  • The most beautiful song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my boyf fall asleep to this!

  • Resting in Peace

    Ivy and stone

    Webs of memories

    Rosy petals wet with tears

    Facing the sky

    Those wide-eyed angels

    Earthbound on petrified wings

Hands, cheeks and locks of hair so soft to touch, but oh so cold

And with the morn these angel faces smile

In ever loving memory of what they lost

  • Absolutely beautiful. Wow. I hope you are a published photographer. You are a master. How sadly beautiful, those forgotten graves, with the vines and flowers bringing something living back to broken headstones and vanished lives. Love the song. Ray is a real tear jerker. He should cheer up but I dont think his music would be as wonderful if he did!

  • Woo, another Ray fan in Southampton, yeah! :D

  • you've got a good eye for a photograph and the music fits perfectly lovely
