I'm just wondering, but, and yes i know 3.1.2. is jailbreakable, but how long did it take for you to get blackra1n to jailbreak it? I'm just wondering because I tried to jailbreak my third gen 8g ipod touch and after three minutes, it wasn't finished, and I had to restore everything.
Try with a fresh firmware loaded on your iPod and make sure you are using Blackra1n RC3.If that doesn't work, -wait, 3rd gen? I think the third gen only has a tethered jailbreak, this means and i qoute, "If your ipt2/3GS/ipt3 is rebooting into recovery after running blackra1n, this isn't a bug. It's a feature. You need to run blackra1n every time to boot it. This 'feature', called tethered jailbreak, is enabled by upgrades Apple made to the bootrom and the fact ipt3 uses nand flash." That help?
