@lukeyboymuzic The Digitech Whammy will do harmonies like the PS5 and PS6 which will make it sound like two guitars but it does not do intelligent pitch shifting.
the amount of shit this pedal can do is just amazing. worth MUCH more than 250. i wouldnt be surprised if it was 400 dollars. chorus pedal, drop tuner, dive bomber, harmonizer, octave, and whammy all in one. what the bloody hell. pedal of the gods, anyone?
how would it work with the bass guitar, tracking of d-tuning section? would you guys try to make a review with the bass guitar, there is nothing about it on yt.
@motorgruve dont think they still make it, but digitech used to have a whammy pedal designed for bass. Ive got a buddy who plays a 5 string shecter bass (not sure of the model) and he has a regular whammy in his setup and it seems to do fine even playing his low B and shifting the note. see if you can find videos if you search digitech bass whammy
@hello1967amazing because about 90% of whammy users are douchey kids trying to do Tom Morello stuff, 7% have NO clue how to use a whammy in a creative context and the last 3% are ambient/postrock/shoegaze/whatever guitarists that do WAY cool things with it in conjunction with lots of other pedals. unless youre morello, you pretty much have to have something interesting happening for the whammy to be useful and cool (ie, the band El Ten Eleven, if you havent heard you need to)
@hello1967amazing the bass whammys are pretty cool from what Ive seen. worth the shipping if you can find one for a decent price. actually, Tom is one of my favorite guitar players. I just hate that EVERY video on youtube features RATM or Audioslave riffs. there ARE other players who use the whammy and have made that part of their style (Steve Vai, Trey Anastasio, David Gilmour, Matt Belamy, Jack White) Trey does some awesome shit with the whammy, I wanna see someone do THAT
@CommBreakDown No, the added solo he plays leading into 'god gave rock and roll' at the end of the film. I want to find a pedal to emulate that harmony.
@CommBreakDown Do you have a particular suggestion? I would like to have that particular sound played on the track, as well as a wide range of harmonized effects. I do like the Boss PS-6 though, not sure about the PitchFactor.
im working and saving money, and i dont know what pedal to buy, this, or mxr eq pedal.
one the one hand i got a (not so good) pitch shifter built in my amp, and i think that an eq pedal will make my sound better.
but on the other hand the detune section can really help me and i wont have to tune my guitar down when im playing some songs, and also i will have a good pitch shifting.
i would easily punch a midget for this pedal

@clarkied the song is called The Reaper-Steve Vai

@CommBreakDown No, the added solo he plays leading into 'god gave rock and roll' at the end of the film. I want to find a pedal to emulate that harmony.

@clarkied there two guitar both with harmonizing pitch shifts. so either like a PitchFactor or a Boss PS-6

The Bomber has polyphonic pitch-shifting with the pedal. Chords...Not just single notes, like Whammy DT.
polski368 4 months ago
@polski368 And for polyphony you get no harmony modes and no wet/dry control. Yeah, fuck that.
TheKingofBastards 4 months ago
so whats the true bypass mean?
twitch101994 4 months ago
@twitch101994 When the pedal is not engaged your sound is routed around the circuitry so you do not suffer any signal loss.

this device was invented for Skindred riffs, that's it's sole purpose.
AugustInAdelaide 4 months ago
@christophertorian Only the drop tune part is polyphonic. The Whammy sections works the same way it used to.
NstuffMusic 4 months ago
The White Stripes is all this thing is useful for...
I can divebomb with a tremolo and yeah...
This thing is a cool plaything, but being really useful in music, I don't know.
I never even liked it much in things like PanterA and stuff either so...
Maybe Satriani... but myeah, for how many songs really?
I'm not going to spend 300 anything on this...

Can you compare the DT with morpheus pedals (capo, droptune, bomber)?
