Good point, the forclosure rate there is the, if not close to the highest in the nation. It sure must save all that refinancing red tape, time and effort.

Lenders did not cooperate with preventing foreclosures which they helped create. They were awating the "special" Saturday session when the housing bailout bill was passed. Now we will all pay. A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within.

It seems to me that if the homeowner refinances now, we the taxpayers pay through the beaureaucratic maze of bailout. If the homeowner torches his nemesis, then I guess the insurance company pays, effectively raising everyone's rates. So the bottom line is that thjose who managed their personel finances are stuck in a no win situation caused by others who squanderd.
