  • how can i apply to throw kids and elders around the room like that?

  • I was once a skeptic about this stuff... but after feeling it applied on myself by a master, I can actually feel what these guys in the video are going through... THIS STUFF IS REAL!!!

  • Wow very good

  • i just did this to my little sister and now she's not moving and won't get up, what should i do???

  • what is the name of the song that starts in the beginning and throughout this video...???

  • @Rocism01 The music is the orchestra version of "the heroic little sisters on the grassland." You can find the performance of this piece (may not be the same arrangement) in YouTube.

  • really find it hard to believe....unless i try it myself...how can such short movement shoved them??

  • @vahner7vakruz I didn't believe it until someone I knew normally avoided the "silly stuff" showed me this, since than I've found what seems to be related to Fajin in English (Kinetic linking or chaining), now its starting to make more and more sense...

  • combat is not elegant this is to elegant

  • Blessed be the lazyness of humans. How much easier is to invent gun then spend all your life learning how to precisely control muscles and movement.

  • This is not fake. Pay attention to the chubby Asian sparring power with the glasses. He literally jumps up in the air and than the sifu just pushes him IN MID AIR away several feet. Thats some impressive power.

That guy must have weighed 70-80kilos and to push someone like that back several feet requires incredible power.

  • This is no different than Pad work or resistance training .Its part of the whole people. This stuff is used with push hands from my understanding with Shuai Jiao training(throwing art think sleeveless Judo)add the fact he can punch with conscious control He is normally holding arm behind the front one.If he did that in combat mode of intent to all his students ,He would not have any students cause they would be crippled.broken arms concussions and very mean throws on peoples heads. What do I know

  • Show it in a combat...

  • @sombras1981 Please read the description of the video before you make any comment. This is only a training exercise to build up body mechanics.

  • @taipingvlg I don't think he necessarily meant any criticism. I too would be curious to see this high level skill used in combat.

  • @GOG777 It would be interesting but a REAL fight with true Master is gonna end with someone disabled or dead. These kind of exercises (Used in MANY M.A. btw) will add to whatever other styles you do. Fighting is fighting and requires its own kind of training, body mechanics and power building is what it is too and can be used just for healing, without ever thinking about fighting. Ring fighting is also it's own sport and requires specific training, these drills will help ring fighters as well.

  • @TheEidolon7 I don't know about that, suppose it was a fight between a master and a regular guy who was actually trying to win. All that you really need is somebody who is actually willing to try and take the old guys head off and you've got a legitimate demonstration. I'm pretty sure if I could win a fight against an angry guy of a lower skill level without hurting him much, most masters could too. These drills are good, I'd just like to see what the result is when it comes to performance

  • @GOG777 I think it depends on how and what they train. I don't disagree with you,I'm an internalist and Silat practitioner. It has given me a very good advantage in real fights when I was younger and less able to avoid a fight, and I'm not a natural fighter either. I know that pure rage and strong will can win but a TRUE master should not have a problem dealing with that. BTW your training looks very good to me, I looked at your videos. And ok, of course true masters should not fight to maim/kill

  • @TheEidolon7 Thanks! Silat is a great art. Let me know if you ever upload any of you training I'd love to check it out.

  • @sombras1981 Fa Jin is also really useful in striking

  • @sombras1981 The only way this would really relate to combat is picking a fight when someone lays their hand on you. You could probably use it as a counter but it won't do any damage unless there's stairs or something pointy behind the person.

  • @sombras1981 Trust me, you wouldn't want fajing applied to you in combat.

  • @sombras1981 Hah! you wouldnt want to be on the recieving end of the real combat technique. It would probably cause internal bleeding. People have used this in combat for 100s of years. Its around cause it works.

  • 0.O

  • 1:40 seconds,what was that?

  • Very Good

  • If one guy touches another why does the big guy just fling right off cant he do a reverse attack?

  • @TheSharkboy2000 Because this is just a training exercise designed to test one's fajin effectiveness!

  • @Elephantpalm no, Tai Chi means the ongoing energy...The "Chi"

  • @harukohayashi Sorry - wrong. The 'Ch'i' in Tai Chi isn't the same word as the word 'chi' meaning energy or essence. That's why in Mandarin pinyin it's 'taijiquan', not tai QI quan.

  • @Elephantpalm

The concept is accurate... but they seem to be reacting as they think they should. For example, they know they are supposed to go back. but before that, their arm would cave, unless it's alreadly locked out. If you watch most of them carefully, they are already bent.

  • hi guy, please tell me what is it?

    Tai Chi?

  • @patryka11

    Yes, Tai Chi

  • I am a little skeptical, being a student of the concept of fajing. He may truly be doing this or the students may be reacing as they know they should, by jumping back into the cushion/mattress.

In the end, I believe strongly in the concept.

  • he makes it look so simple...bu I'm sure it's not

  • fly~~~fly~~fly away~~~

  • I love this video! The music is fun and everyone in it seem to be having fun. I also like the way the instructor just sinks into his stance...

  • Im just curious.. why is it no matter witch way you are hitting them, they seem to be falling down the same way as before ? should the weight in there body shift in accordance to where they are feeling the force from?

  • I want to study there

  • (continued) This concept is applied throughout the video. Just look at this as a demo of a one-sided training drill.

  • Hey guys. The video is a just demo of the training exercises we do in class. Yes, the students are purposely remaining rigid but the point of this training is for the person issuing force (Sifu Lin in this case) to pressure test their alignment and structure while the person receiving force acts as static weight. For example, at 1:38 Sifu Lin performs Brush Knee while the student grabs his arm and absorbs all of the force. This allows him to guage the power generated by his technique.

  • Why are the students' arms so stiff when receiving the instructor's technique. Why aren't they practicing suppleness?

I'm not sure that dropping your mass and projecting horizontally into an opponent who is off balance needs a cosmic explanation. It could be explained by phyiscs using work equations and examining pressure dynamics.

  • It doesn't look like he is instructing them right here, it is more of a demo. This is how someone without proper yin/yang training would react.

Someone without the knowledge of soft meets hard will try and meet Yang force with a Yang force.

Its just a demo basically. They are "going along" with it for the viewer who doesn't really know anything about what they should be doing.

  • Thanks! That answers my question.

  • I must say, with much respect, that this just doesn't look legitimate to me. It looks very much like the SIfu's students are "jumping" and "running" backwards. If the effect was truly created by the Sifu's technique alone, then wouldn't the students getting pushed backwards appear less "in control"? They just seem to be playing into it. An outsider's perspective. Please fill me in.

  • Yeah they are going along with it for demonstration purposes.

As far as back power, the guy looks pretty well trained. His form allows for efficient transfer of energy from his feet pushing off of the ground directly to his shoulders/arms/ etc.

Make what you will of it, the techniques are pretty good even if the effects are exaggerated.

  • this is legitimate. If u don't know how to receive this force u will fly. which is actually better than eating it all. I don't live to far from this guy so i plan to check him out soon. I do some internal arts and would b very curious to train with this fellow.

  • does this work on a non-practioner as well?

  • This seems like so much fun. The students do seem to be injured.

Could you tell me when you discovered your ability to fajin?

What would be the result if 2 masters who are able to fajin, push hands. Would one of them be pushed back just like the students in the video, or would it be different?

  • To bigfatfoot: No student has been injured during this training. The ability is gained from decades of training in internal martial arts and the Pre-Heaven Power Method. It is gradually improved and hard to say when it was "discovered." What shown in the vid are training exercises, not real fight. In a real fight, any movement executed by a YiZungYue school expert has Pre-Heaven Power in it. If the opportunity is there and the timing is right, a scenario similar to the video may happen.

  • If such power can't injure people, then how is it used in actual scenarios? As for yourself, how did you feel when you know that you may have acquired such a skill, as in able to use it on people?

  • To bigfatfoot:

Of course, the power generated with the body mechanics developed from the Pre-Heaven Power Method is very destructive in a real-fight situation. Imagine the power that bounces people like in the video is issued for striking. The exercises shown in the video are for establishing the correct body mechanics and are practiced in a way to make sure that the partner will not get hurt in the drill. When you have this body mechanics, every move you make has this kind of power.

  • umm this seems interesting i study some martial art tarditional ones but what is this technique is it for power in strikes? but i seen it before i hust didnt know what it was....

  • HI Taipingvlg, Can fajin be terminated within the opponent too? E.g. an internal strike which ruptures internal organs?

  • It would be VERY different. Instead of being pushed back, the masters would redirect the force of the Fajing towards the ground (or anywhere to reduce the force).

  • The music just made it that much more entertaining. Wish I could get that kind of chi control. I've tried but its been self taught attempts, as I'm cheap and dont want to pay out the bum for lessons. Anyway good vid.

  • :-( no comment

  • please..me too!

    i want fly!

  • Ah.. I saw Grand Master Lee and Grand Master Ma Jian Bao watching this today at school.. very impressive.

  • Thanks for the video.! at 2:00 pay attention to how deep he steps in. the person receiving the technique is displaced like water because two bodies can't occupy the same space/energy. Enough watching, it's time to practice! i invite every Youtube Martial Artist to do the same.

  • Excellent demonstration. I've only successfully performed fajin a few times. I still need more practice. I especially like the one at 1:10

  • Great video..I would like to learn the technic to perform this force...good...!

  • The sounds of the people hitting the mattress sound like old 70s' gung-fu movies stock sound effects, I know that it isn't added in every time, but it just makes the video that much funnier.

  • So is Fajin a manifestation of Chi or just the spiral coiling power of the body ? (Using whole body power?)

  • To Aheyne: In our approach, fajin is purely based on body mechanics and can be explained with physics and characteristics of human body structure. Chi manifestation has nothing to do with our training method.

  • so you do not teach the method as prescribed by way sun liao??

  • this video is RIDICULOUS!

  • To paolocaglio78: Ridiculous in a layman's eyes!

  • You know how people get songs stuck in their head? I think the sound of people hitting that matt will be stuck in my head for a while.

    Awesome demo, thanks for posting!

  • bullshit

  • Hi wcspart: It is very rude to say this on something you don't have any idea about. It took decades of internal martial arts training to be able to do so. It is beyond your understanding.

  • just a little of what ive learned of fa jing. it is in basic form about the perfect alignment of one's body in relation to the technique you want accomplished and the laws of gravity. so its basically and i stress basically being aligned and centered, and using another's faulty alignment of fa jing against them to pop them like a spring.

  • lol, that's not fajin at all

  • to SanadaYuk1mura:

Do you know what "fajin" means in Chinese?

  • This is so fun watchung, firsst u see the big guy go and then the small one :D

    Very nice

  • omg that looks like so much fun

  • Me personally, Id rather fly into a mattress.

  • Its very real but not very easy to understand. I think anyone who has a hard time believing this should first keep an open mind. Its one thing to view the video and make comments but another to experience it first hand and know for oneself. The exercises should not be confused for applications. Imagine it applied in strikes, but someone should not have to get greatly injured to demonstrate this. Hypothetically, if one were so skeptical and wanted to see for sure, is it better to fly or to bleed?

  • yes finally someone has brains in their head. of course its real.

  • amen brother! i was blind but now i see, i was a skepic too but i came, questioned , and learned , now i am one of those guys that demonstrate the same thing while some fool says to his friend thats fake! or it's not real .if talk is all it took we would all be masters, try 4 ur self, then see if it's fake..

  • As far as the head jerk that you are referring to, if you look closely you will see that there is actually two movements to this force. At first, he pulls the opponent towards him. This gives the sensation of falling or stumbling, which makes the opponents body tense up. You can use tension like this to amplify the jing. Of course, nothing beats skepticism like some hands on experiences. If you're ever in the Chicago area, I'm sure he'd be willing to give you a demonstration.

  • New, I can understand the skepticism. This example looks nothing like the actual application. This power as an application is intended to be directed into the body of the opponent. This, for obvious reasons, cannot be demonstrated. The students, then, have to ensure that they keep a solid structure so that the force can go through and out and not into the organs. The better you get at internal structure the smaller the movements. It's a process of refinement, density, purity of force.

  • I think his students have been hypnotized to flow with the impact.

I study parts of the clip frame by frame and the big white guy moves head head back before even being pushed like if he was already getting ready to jump.

It's like the students are so scared of the consequence of not jumping back, they rather jump back to flow with the impact which does not exactly show the real power of this martial arts.

  • hi ,i believe what you say is about 10 % correct if you ever got hit by this teachers energy you would cringe and prepare for the hit also , you see like you i was once a disbeliever ,so instead of making comment's without the facts i visited this master teacher, after many questions and demonstations i have now been his student for almost 2 years, ,my internal power and skill has tripled in that time,so says all my students and other martial arts masters that have trained with me ,

  • Hi is it possible to do this demonstration on an inanimate object eg a car, rock etc or does their need to be some kind of transfer of human energy? So this works only on another person?

I'm skeptical but still open to the idea it is possible

  • the method has the awesomest name i've ever heard :D

  • To iLikeDragon:

The word "Pre-Heaven" in the name of the method means that everyone is born with this kind of power and potentially is able to apply it with proper training.

  • To sagmann20 and RonnySayfan:

As I have emphasized many times in this forum, these are EXERCISES for building up solid body mechanics, not fighting scenarios. With this setup, the skill of the practioner can be evaluated by the reactions of the training partners being thrown. There is no point for a teacher or student to fake anything in a training exercise. Why don't you simulate what's going on in the video, record it, and see if it is possible for you to reproduce the same effects?

  • ok maybe "fake" was the wrong word. but I have done something along the lines of this. Its about core stength, body positioning, and explosive energy.

  • To sagmann20: Since you "have done something along this line", would you be kind enough to post a video of yourself doing fajin?

  • i could...but what would be the point, you allready think im full of shit. I meant no offense, ive been in martial arts pretty much my whole life, and i see the subtle things he is doing and the given reaction and its graceful. but calling it the "pre-heaven power method" makes it sound more "mystical" than it is. it seems like a simple exploitation of several basic qualities you will find in many martial arts

  • Hi sagmann20: I've never said or thought you are "full of xxxx." Isn't it the purpose of this forum for people to learn from each other? I was just curious whether someone else has developed (or discovered) a similar body mechanics. As to the name, you can take a look at my reply to iLikeDragon. It is simply a word-to-word translation from Chinese and hence may be a little misleading.

  • In most of the throws they are allowing their center of gravity move outside their foot-work.

In some, they actually go down un-assisted.

This would not work (at least - not to THAT effect) against a non-complying opponent.

    TRUTH.

  • nothing special here. just a man using explosive power, which is stored up energy in muscle fibers. Its very subtle because he only does it for a short period of time, and all of his subjects are in staright stances so they are easily pushed off balance...they are also exagerrating by flying like that

  • nothing to do with muscles

  • sure it does, its also body positioning

  • Nice fun vid. This guy is pretty good, my teacher throws us like that all the time, for any guys who think it fake its not. Of course his students are being complient and allowing a platform for the teacher to issue his jin on, if a foot sweep is used moments before the push the person ends up falling very awkwardly ie on their head. Keep on training guys!

  • some day I will go over there to learn.

Some taichi and bagua. I dont know when but when the time is right. See you there master.

  • Great demonstration! And great music! What is the name of this music?

    Thanks!!!

  • hes not using any effort and he useing somethign you do in class which is called push hands its frikkin hard

  • It's just a form of coorperative drill used to test one's structure and ability to issue power. Not to be confused with realistic applications.

  • All i can say tha is real omfg my tai he did tha to me i freakin...it jus hurt tha is the onli way i can put it in detail.

  • lolz

  • internal power as in chi? the level to which some have cultivated it is amazing

  • It is a fake! just look at the feet of his partners when they get pushed. In most chases they move by themselves or even jump.

in addition to that it isn´t realy a great accomplishment to push someone from a solid stance like his if the partner doesn´t have a solid stance. this is just bullcrap.

  • "In most chases they move by themselves or even jump."...so what is your point? The feet follows wherever the body goes. The person with the stronger root/skill/power/whatever will make the person with less ability seem weaker. Just because its not easy for anyone to do doesn't mean its bullcrap.

  • the no touch knockout is psycology or what you call "fake". the chinese qigong is real transfer of energy. this power is alot like using a muscle you never thought you could flex until you work on it specifically but in chi(energy) form. we all know that there are fakes but there are also real masters. i wouldn't just watch you tube videos though. they can be deceiving. find out for yourself

  • You have a point there. I'm watching and just trying to figure out if all of that could be done with minimum force as demonstrated on there.

  • Fa jin is real, although it looks like he uses a little too much muscle to me. I can't do it myself, but have had it done to me by the more senior students at the school I attend. It's a matter of skilled use of body mechanics plus being able to read your opponent's center of gravity with your sense of touch (ting jin). Both of these just take a lot of practice, and, of course, instruction from someone skilled in the art.

  • that rocks!

  • he could do more than push people ppl against the wall with a finger, alot more...

  • damn how can i do that?

  • This is an exellent example of fajin at a high level. Bravo Sifu. Bravo!

  • Keep in mind this just discharging power not intended to hurt someone. The subject being pushed needs to stay firm to keep a connection, if he collapse he will injure himself. Fajing is absolutely useful in a fight...that same force will be be redirected as a strike, break, throw etc.

  • It is evident this guy has serious power. Most of you skeptics have obviously not experienced it before. If you watch carefully at the people he is "projecting"...their feet lift off the ground before they accelerate across the room. I couldn't even fake that if I tried.

  • no about he has strength in both forearm and torso, legs. but his helpers most likely gave way a little beforehand to make it more simple. none the less the technique has tremendous power and effectiveness.

  • Hey guys compare this video to another demo on youtube under the heading of "peng jin" ~ see what you think.

  • is this not the basis for I chuan? or the application of wu chi posture, embracing the ball, immortal embracing post, etc?

  • biomechanics are top notch here tho the internal skill is quite evident and will only lead to better body mechanics in all situations

  • although the bigger man isn't catching as much air time he's falling back twice as fast ax the other practitioners due to his body weight. it's hurting just as much if not more.

  • check out 2m24sec-oh yes!

  • They got no real stance. I mean they don't prepare to defend. I want a video in which someone grabs like the guys do here but tries everything to keep balance.

  • that's a standard Xing yi stance silly incredibly strong front to back

  • Fa Jin looks cool and it feels cool... but in an actual fight --> useless? Because your opponent has to be 100% stiff and not flexible etc.

  • Schmidt54, that's exactly what I thought when I trained it. Works well against average Joe who goes for the ultra stiff and constricting two handed grab but what about the lively springy hands of a real southern fist practitioner? there's nothing there to absorb and send back in that case.. and if you try that on a southern fist stylist they will send it right back to you times ten.. I have seen it

  • at this level yes. search "heaven man earth inner power seminar" and see a tong long fighter attack a real taiji player

  • Soft Yin can sense Hard Yang but Hard Yang can never sense Soft/Empty Yin. The softer nd more resiliant u r, the mor difficult it is to break/uproot u. the internal soft arts hav a huge advantage in that it trains u to become truly relaxed, well rooted, nd develop an internal power to uproot/break ur oponent. the problem faced by external arts is that there ends up being a limit to their softness since they still rely alot on external force- but theres no limit in internal art

  • When you say internal power, are you refering to Peng Jin ????

  • Peng Jin is ward-off power. The type of internal power that is shown in this video is called Fa Jin or shooting energy. There are several different types of internal power.

  • although peng jin is commonly known as a ward-off power in the tai chi world but this is basic level of understanding the real meaning of peng jin.

  • peng jin is one of 8 basic 'gateways' of taiji and refers to the fullness thats requisite for all postures of taiji. its an expanding full energy leading to 'lu' which is following energy; that later evolves into 'ji' or compress; & these 3 energies combine into 'an'/push which is like a tsunami force. there is actually only 1 energy- 1 qi; but many forms of expressing it

  • although peng jin is commonly known as a ward-off power in the tai chi world but this is basic level of understanding the real meaning of peng jin.

  • yes thank you very true internal art.qi is the product of the mind and there is no limit to our mind.

  • its actually a very simple technique.

people think it requires a lot of power..and it looks almost magical and chi like..

although almost no one in the world will ever grab you like that..

or hold on to you and not let go when putting them in that postiton..

it does work. the hands lock upwards causing you to fly back.. someone did it to me.

its just an unlikly technique to use.

  • right now, wat u see is more of a 'push'. but fajin is actually a very deadly strike. but still, in this clip- its not like a 'normal hard push' where you shove the person & they fall back. The fajin is very short but explosive & seems alot like a bow-whip. when u do a true fajin 'push', the oponent feet will uproot & should go back like a whip. of course in actual application everything turn into alot mor explosive stike

  • iqwaxzi....you know nothing thats why uou cannot recognise real kungfu...

i am from england i train internal..have nothing to do with this school..but look at his alignment from this alone you can tell...

obviously you havent been putting the hours in.....go out to your garden and train ...3- 4 hours a day and in three years come back and post a comment...you will be a different person...the tru internal people will then look forward to meeting you

  • The smallest guy with he red sash is the best at making the Master's "Repelling" technique look good.

The old white guy is not fit but still quite good at falling back.

The oriental guy with glasses is jumping back BEFORE the Sifu repels in some of the scenes.

He is not a good "Actor" or Uke and because of him the whole thing looks fake.

  • haha, funny man, i attend a kunfu school where this is practiced. its real. do your research.

  • do you really? im trying hard to learn... any advice???

  • it comes from borrowing energy from the earth. practice springing off the toes and locking the joints, not muscle. its all about body allignment.

  • thanks a whole bunch, i think i understand what your saying after watching this video again.

  • this is ridiculous...

  • this guy is not trying to fake anything,he is doing as stated exercises to develop fa jing.

as a 40 year practicioner i can see value in these exercises.there r plenty of fake jumpers out there yo critisise.

  • this makes me mad. fajin is a real thing, but this ain't it. these people are cooperating to make the demo look good. typical Taoist Tai Chi junk.

  • How is this possible!? Im not a sceptic ive just heard a lot about it and id love to know more

  • Get yourself a small piece of paper wadded up into a ball, then put it on a table, touch it with your index finger, with your hand resting on the table, curl your index finger under your thumb, apply pressure towards the palm with your thumb, and away from the palm with your finger, remove the thumb.

It's kind of like that, but with your whole body, but not really.

  • then how do you learn it?

  • Nice vid. Respect to all martial artists checking out you tube...If you're genuinely interested in fajing but doubt what you see here please go to any one of these masters and have them show you in person. I bet you will not be able to keep your feet on the ground! Have a great 2008 guys!

  • This is crap, you can clearly see him using muscular force and alot of his student jumps and uproot themselves.

  • This skill is not fake. I am very sceptical about this kind of thing just as you are so I spent the month of October travelling around europe and hong kong checking out various masters and styles. Had this kind of thing done to me in Berlin by Master Tang Li long of wudang. Trust me It's real!

  • Yes, it is completely not fake. I trained at CTMAA when I was younger for years. Had I not tried it myself, I would not have believed it either, but it is as real as it has been recorded.

    Don't underestimate its explosive power.

  • I have to agree with you. I am a biomechanist and I cannot see how the man on the right can possibly apply forces horizontally to the man on the left, which then cause the latter to move upward. This goes against basic physics. I like to see the master try this with a totally naive subject.

  • some real, some exaggerated. the guy(r) gets power cause L_guy resists. Then R lunges all mass forwards + arms angle upwards. Partial wrists pressure may also provide extra lift. L's stance= bad & little push = easy2 uproot. yet, explosive force is powerful & deadly. see 'Chen Xiaowang -fajin' for real power.

  • u can stand w 100 legs for 'support', but if u dont properly align center, midline, nd support, or dont relax+sink, then u r set up to fall. if i relax+internally aligned, then no matter how u push/move, i remain entirely balanced.

  • study the springiness of a bow & the way a cat walks+move always ready to pounce. theres an old chinese saying- With a good root/foundation, anythings possible; without one, everythings imposible. the fajin is just built on primarily the first 4 'gates' of taiji: wardoff, rollback, press, push. wen u learn to properly sink, u will see that everythings in 45deg. il provide some link for mor refrence

  • totaly fake!

  • With the right leverage, anything is possible.

Also, they probably do exaggerate their falls so that they land on the mat instead of the floor.

  • But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that these techniques don't work. The result is probably not so dramatic in real life.

  • Most people are familiar with hard, explosive fajin. Until you've felt just how soft and developed his method actually is, it's hard to believe that he's not pushing. Master Lin is highly accomplished; if you find it difficult to believe, take a trip to Chicago.

He's had a lot of people that didn't believe the veracity of the Youtube videos show up and find out that he's the real deal.

    Really nice guy, too.

  • Sorry have to agree with some of the negative views here!!!

    am chinese, studied

    - dragon style

    - southern mantis

    - chen taiji and chi gung

i know how chi can effect power and body!!!

but even i found this hard to believe...

  • Its not Qi it is just good structure. Any master of the soft styles can do this pretty easily. Qi has a different effect

  • hey where did u study dragon style ? did u learn applications and forms ? thats a rare style ......

  • To Paullywalnuts2:

Do you mean swimming dragon Baguazhang?

  • no i meant that particular system. I had a teacher who trained in it but would not teach it. I am familiar with swimming dragon in bagua as chi gung set.

  • thats my kung-fu teacher out their in theat vid

  • so is Fajin pronounced as it is spelled?

  • To looker768: The Chinese character 勁 should be pronounced as "jing" when it is used as an adjective and "jin" when used as a noun. So, you can say that fajin (issue "jin") is pronounced as it is spelled although it doesn't sound exactly the same in Chinese. However, many people, even some dictionaries, only pronounce the character as "jing" in both cases.
