  • i was very informative. i learned a lot about how it all got started, that guy is funny in the ways he talks about the early days of the internet. after 1995 a lot of people got the same idea of blogging & chatting. & learning more about the world wide web. it's still all greek to me, but i am learning more each day in my TV,& Video, radio classes.

  • it was very informative. i enjoyed learning about how it all got stated

  • love that guy, he would make string theory sound easy and fun!

  • what an entertaining video about the history of the internet! i had to watch this for my web design class and dreaded watching some boring history video, but it was so funny!

  • Must admit hes right, im a geek, lacking in knowledge about the web. Fail. Glad i watched this though, its people like this that actually make learning fun. Thanks for the upload!

  • I guess Al Gore is not the "Father of the Internet". I do know that the U.S. Military is the original owner of the Internet before it was released mainstream in 1995. Also, just to let you know in the tech world, the Internet is now being know as "the cloud" for over-the-air communications on such post-PC devices as the iPhone. So the International Network may not be known as the Internet in the next 20 years, and may be known as The Cloud with thousand times faster bandwidth in the 5 years.

  • very clever presentation...

  • THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! :)

  • that is great

  • NERDS!

  • yea nerds invent things that u can use in real life loser BIKbballa

  • also they stole it all from tesla! what about tesla 110 yrs before all of this. nikola tesla discovered the internet in 1901! LOOK IT UP, i put up the information on it! the first internet would have started with the wardenclyffe towers set up around the earth, they would be the routers for messages and information transfer.tesla even made cell phone devices which would have made the same cellphone internet system we have today! please look this up. internet is 110 yrs old!ecommerce facebook;old

  • I love stuff like this! Yes, I was only 10 or 11 years old when we first connected to BBSes back in 1993 and 1994, even though back then the birth of the internet was starting, but what can I say? I'm not as old as that guy and you know what? I didn't care what people said about computer nerds as a kid, I thought they were the coolest people on earth! :D

  • He's good!

  • he is right about the internet in 1965, cause i looked at youtubes channle (the guys that show the making of youtube) and they have been a member sence 1965, not kidding

  • youtube has only been around since 2005, DUMASS

  • no dumbass, look at the channel youtube, it clearly says 1965

  • BBN's IMP ftw!

  • 1996 telecommunications act opened up broadband connections for the masses. I am surprised he didn't cover that.

  • I agree, that was cool!

  • Why didn't Al Gore show up and say, "NUH UH! *I* invented the internet!"

  • That was cool

  • I was part of the BBS generation. Nice to see this video.

  • NERDS

    interesting nerds though -)

  • screw you, geeks are bad at history. don't say I'm bad at history... and don't say I'm a geek!!!1!!1

  • good. network histroy.

  • i thought the internet was started in the 90's. the first time i saw anything on a computer was 1994. lol

  • The 90's is when it blew up in the U.S. and then around the world; but, it originated WAY before that.

  • fantastic!
