I think it makes perfect sense. You just have to watch all the episodes. they dont give you all the answers right away, but even the first two episodes give you a hint on what its about. The girl with the pink hair is an alien, she wanted to find the Takku guy because for some reason the "enemy robot" was in his head. This is all somehow connected to the steam roller thing... mamimi I guess started the fires, and she thought the robot was a god, but it wasnt of course
