It's surprising Simpsons never won in the past though. Old Simpsons episodes were awesome, and Family Guy seems to be getting worse and worse like South Park. Family Guy definitely deserves one though, I think too many people think cartoons are automatically unintelligent and wasteful, as if ER or House teach us about real hospitalization.

Simpsons is nowhere near as funny as it used to be but I'm surprised. I thought Simpson already had an emmy for best comedy. Its inspired and influenced so many shows and the classics are still entertaining after so many years.

Family Guy is badly written and the bulk of it's humor is just Pop Culture references. It's wrong that it got a nomination when it's a show that is "purposely" written poorly and without effort in comparison to other funny cartoons.
