  • Prince of darkness, 69th st bridge -thats such an awesome track and u did a really good cover made ur synths sounds just like the prophet and arp'sawesome!!!

  • lol awesome

  • Yeah! Prince of Darkness! A most underrated movie and soundtrack!! Nice.

  • I love both of your J.C movie theme vids watch them quite frequentley after a few beers for inspiration , you performed those songs well, saved on my faves im a musician too great work man...You have the fire.

  • class stuff..

  • B.A.

  • The skeleton cracks me up! lol. Good stuff though!

  • wow omg

  • The Best Of John Carpenter by John Carpenter

Music john carpenter is the best of the world.

  • g'damn! this entire set is dripping with win... I can barely take it, cause it's that awesome.

  • Superb.

  • love ut props :) and cool playing

  • you absolutely nailed the Escape From New York cue. Esp. that tin pan solo. Sounds exactly like Carpenter's in 1984. It's sick. I wonder what you used to create that sound, other than the JUNO?

  • @Chikagba Hi, thanks! Think you're referring to 69th st. bridge? I used the steel drum patch from korg x5 , slightly modified :)

  • @Chikagba It's not sick. It's RADICAL. Get the times right, sick is only yr. 2000+

  • @WhiteDragon103 hahahahahahaha yeah totally rad dude!!!

  • wow great job keep it up! :)

  • Amazing work! What synth did you use for the bass line in Assault on 13? I just started my *hardware* synth collection, and I currently only have a Roland Juno 106, and Access Virus, and a Microkorg (think the microkorg sounds a little thin though) - Anyways, you have an amazing set up (from what I can see), and just wondering what synth you used on Assault......such bliss to my ears :)

  • @bounceeffectmusic Hi There and thanks! I used the Juno 6 and 106 together for the bass. You will hear the 106 come in at 0;32, the juno 6 is that bit warmer so I used it for the first bit.

  • Halloween's off-key, apart from that great work!

  • Wow, this sounds really amazing!

  • good cover and the "assault" part is a really good mix stuff to the movie theme - heartbeet and fast handclaps, later the melody in a deep synth base sound and hig h strings.

  • awesome stuff! love the Assault theme and the EfNY chase theme. I might have to cover that one with my band. bad ass work. also, kudos for the Halloween tune. so many people are into the main theme (I am too), but I love the haunted house theme and the other piano incidentals. so creepy.

  • Great job. You were wondering about other Carpenter theme's. Hmm..not many good ones left. Prince of Darkness, Christine, and They Live arent' bad, but none of those are as memorable as the ones' you've already done.. After that, he fell in love with the guitar.

You could always just cover other great horror themes: Phantasm, The exorcist, etc..

  • could you do a full cover of escape from wing kong from - big trouble in little china? thanks

  • Fantastic job.

  • Love your take on the 69th Street Bridge...Nice work!

  • I love the Assault ... Theme !

  • @TAJours cheers, it's one of my alltime fave synth tracks

  • that was brilliant, you deserve 10 stars for this !!!!

i specially love snake plissken tune....

  • I was hoping you wern't gonna do Halloween... But at the end when it came on I was pleasently suprised.. Well done... Prince of darkness was awesome...

  • Wow! These are awesome. love the 69th street bridge track too? I'd love to do an arrangement of it, how do you play it?

  • Much-much better :)

But please listen the original Haunted house track again , especially the real interval-relations between the piano-, and the synth pattern.

    Please!!

  • That was HOOFING!!! 10/10

  • I love the haunted house track.

I sing that to myself when I walk

down the street sometimes to this day.

You have a Korg synthesizer from

    the 1970's? I wish I had one.

  • awesome again on 69th street bridge. my faves were always 69, tracer test flight scene, the opening of course, and the best one of all, the president is gone.

don't forget that alan howarth was also a very integral part of the jc sound of his late 70's and early 80's work. check out halloween III as well!

  • Pretty intense when listening loud and with headphones. I second that Big Trouble request! Actually the Christine chase music would be awesome too...

Hmm a John Carpenter cover CD would be pretty sweet since his CDs are fairly hard to find.

  • great.

  • wow

  • waaaaaaaaa its like a more up to date version of the same themes! Good work :)

  • Absolutly perfect. Regards from germany. 5*****

  • 69th Bridge Track is amazing.

  • Nice Work!! 69th Bridge Track Rules All!

  • The arpeggiated bass line is totally awesome

  • the escape from Ney york piece just made me groove. It's sick.

  • A remake of big trouble little china is a fucking shit !!NO REMAKE OF THE CLASSICS!!! NO MORE, ITS OFFENSIVE

  • Can we get some Big Trouble in Little China remakes??? That would be hella sweet. Still a fan, take it easy homeboy!

  • Well done again!

Though it looks like you've been sitting at the keys for a little too long - you need a good meal and some fresh air! :-)

(I think I played in a band with that little dude a long time ago...)

  • lol thanks, guess i'll have to come up with a new angle this halloween!................how many more carpenter tunes are there?....loads!!!!:) Big feed of stew and a day in the sun and i'll be back

  • Bravo. Super !!! J'adore. C'est aussi bon que la musique originale. Félicitations.

  • Merci!

  • KILLER!!!Ask skelletor if he can tell me all the boards he uses.Really remarkable work!!!Your ready for movie sound tracks.

  • No it's not a Skelletor, it's a Skelleton!

Skelletor is the evil character from Conan The Barbarian.

  • You mean "Skeletor" from the Masters of the Universe franchise?

  • From HE-MAN and masters of the universe not conan the barbarian

  • 5:50- aww, it's like he's teaching a child to play.

  • NIIICE!

  • I had the Juno 60 and gave it away to my brother. I know have the Roland rd 170 and just picked up the Juno G.I enjoy listening to your music. Well done!

  • Great work!

    Thank you!

  • awesome! and nice lil video.

You should eat something, you're very thin :D

  • Played it and sequenced it, Yes.

  • cool stuff man..

  • cool tribute you've got going here, man!

  • Man this is tight. Thank you for the John Carpenter Halloween treat. You skills are great! Keep on Jamming!

  • You´r the greatest Mik!

    Hello from Hamburg. It´s amazing!

    Absolut fanatisch, ein unglaublicher Musiker.

  • Many thanks from Ireland, hope the weather is better in hamburg!

  • Crazy! Awesome music, as always *****

  • cheers!

  • Great stuff .

  • Haunting Le great. Fun to watch and listen. Great job.

  • Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

  • Man, you've done it again with this one. Absolutely brilliant renditions of these great songs, and the video has a great gothic atmosphere :)

  • thankyou! A michael myers mask would have been cool too

  • yes! I remember assault on precinct 13!!! Totaly forgot about that film. You are a legend :)

  • You are a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C synthesizer musician! The Assault on Precinct 13 theme is somewhat better than the original but sadly the awesome Vangelis kind of pulsating "low to high" saw tone that comes in the late of the theme is missing. Keep up working!! Have you heard the REEL MUSIC #2 album version of Assault theme? It's the best of all alltough it's not made by Carpenter! This is very rare in instrumental synth music that some cover version sounds better than the original.

  • thanks, that reel music2 sounds interesting, don't think i've heard it before

  • Nice touch! Those renditions are scarily good, excellent stuff!

  • Cheers!

  • That Diet you are on is working!!! Great, Tony (trouserclips)

  • lol thanks!
