If it seems as though there are a lot of singers walking away with the top spot, maybe it's because singing is a profound and moving talent that makes a great impression on a tremendous number of people. American Idol is shit; it pumps out half-assed 15-minute pop tarts who won't be remembered ten years from now and draws a lot of derision from the art community. The good acts on AGT are phenomenal.

I remember I couldn't watch this at home, i had my son this day, and i couldn't even watch it in the hospital.

The producers were obviously biased and wanted Neal to win. Yes, he's talented, but he got fantastic edits, was featured last in almost every episode he was in, and was in most early pre-season previews. Eli Mattson and Nuttin' But Stringz didn't have these advantages, which kind of makes me mad.

Thank Goodness not everyone criticizes this young man for his physical look/weight. He certainly seems like a wonderful young/man who adores and is respectful to his mother/family for helping him attain this goal. PLUS..he has a GREAT VOICE. I hope to see him..sometime soon...will look for a performance. He will go far...no matter in what musical direction..but his opera is just wonderful... Best to him!

The man is an amazing musician as well as a fantastic person. I've seen him perform many times now and have shared a few cocktails with him.

Neal is awesome but a totally different type of musician than Eli.

However they both have a love for what each other do.
