  • Nice rifle there nicknuke7! Maybe Ill see you at Angeles some weekend.

  • @damonkj7e Thankyou, but it is my cousin's rifle xD .... Do you have a Calguns account?

  • @nicknuke7 I do, but Im not active on Calguns. I spend most of my time on Snipers Hide, dstewart51

  • I was looking into purchasing one of these, how does the recoil compare to .308 win, any problems with the rifle, fit and finish, they retail for $1800 plus a scope, does that sound like a reasonable price?

  • @philyfred Idk how to compare the recoil of this to a .308, but it is very manageable...there is no problems whatsoever with the rifle, it is a very well made rifle, and a really can't find anything wrong with it, it is just that good of a rifle.. fit and finish is great....accuracy is amazing! I say for that price, don't even think twice before buying it. get it ASAP....it performs as good as some $5,000 rifles out there.

  • @philyfred i just seen this rifle today in gun store for 1300...so cal.

  • i dont get why people think they need this much gun to shoot 1000 yds accurately...i dont get it, my 6.5x284 works great if not better at 1000 yds then any lapua

  • @zooders good for you

  • @zooders Why does anyone need anything more then a Prius. Few things in life that make life worth living have anything to do with NEED.

  • @damonkj7e then why not spend the money and get a 50 or a 416 or a 408, hell the ammo is pretty much the same price...

  • @zooders Why do you fee it necessary to impose your will on someone else? If the guy wants a 110BA in 338LM then why not? If you want a 50, 416 or 408 then I think you should go get one.

  • Hold the butt with your left hand. No need to put it on the fore end, that's what the bipod is for. It will help your accuracy greatly.

  • @shankdrummer06 There was a sandbag under the butt of the stock, and he felt comfortable shooting like this. I'm not the one in the vid. I myself shoot the way you described it. I guess everyone is different. Thanks for the good tip though =]

  • @nicknuke7 ahh gotcha, yeah I couldn't see it. No problem man! Happy shootin.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • I want one badly but I can't afford it at this moment :(

  • hey, wana sell it?

  • @tacticalshotgunner12 Sorry Aram, not for sale...it is my cousin's baby..lmaoo

  • The Wolf cheap stuff is ferrous. They try to con customers by calling it "Bi-Metal". It is plated steel or iron and illegal in California or at least where there is fire risk. They can appear to be dicks about it, but if the Fed's or State guys come down and check the place can get closed and then we are all screwed. The worst part is that when they 'confiscate' the ammo, a couple of times I have forgotten to pick it up when I leave! PITA.

  • @RedHammerandSickle I agree with every word you said. I know its a bitch. I have a hard time with getting ammo for my Mosin, b/c most 7.62x54R is steel. But I've been using Yugo surplus (lead core). What you should do, is have both, load up your gun with steel rounds, and the top round should be a lead core round xD

My friend tried it, they never knew he had steel rounds xD

  • I don't really like going to this range but pistol area kind off cool

  • @seven47katana Why don't you like going to this range?

  • @nicknuke7 every 15 minutes u have to stop shooting and range masters are kind of dicks but i like handgun area its cool

  • Thanks for the recipe, I will write that down to give it a try. Curious, have you tried the 300g Sierra Matchkings? I am very interested in the increased energy at long distance and have heard the 1:9 twist will stabilize the round very well. Thanks again -

  • bad follow through.

  • @ripper2812 I know, but this isn't some hardcore shooting competition. He was just to excited shooting it for the first time, not worrying about his form much. But thanks for your critique.

  • Where did you buy the rifle from? I am looking into getting a bolt action and looking for a good store in the los angeles area.

  • @snwbrdngislife88 This rifle was purchased at Martin B. Retting gun store in Culver City. Here is there number : (310) 837-2412. They had actually ordered the rifle. Very friendly staff, and they'll most likely order a rifle for you if they don't have it in the store. But they do have a very wide selection of bolt action rifles to choose from.

  • How is the recoil of the 110 Ba in .338 Lapua Mag. (what is it comparable to) and is it considerably louder than a standard rifle ?

  • @Imyourhuckelberry83 The .338 Lapua Mag produces recoil similar to that from a .308 on this rifle, due to its heavy weight, effective muzzle brake, and recoil pad. Its a real pleasure to shoot! The rifle is louder than a standard rifle and might scare someone who isn't paying attention LOL (as you can tell in the video, no one was sitting next to us on both sides of the rifle due to the muzzle brake amplifying the sound in their direction).

  • Nice Clear Video - thanks. Would like to know if you would be willing to take an exact measurement of the total length with the buttstock in its more retracted position to the end of the brake? I have one on order and looking to pickup a new storm case but hearing conflicting information regarding its true length. Thanks in advance

  • @YellowMetalDriver I would give you the exact measurement at the moment if I had the rifle, but it belongs to my cousin (the guy in the video). But i will ask him what the true length is, and let you know as soon as possible. But from what I have heard and read, the total length is about 50.5 inches.

  • I have the Savage as well as the Barrett 98B, hate to admit it, but the Savage is right there with the Barett......shot a 900yd. 4" group with the Savage

  • @Exetrithe it is amazing what the savage 110 BA can accomplish compared to other rifles that shoot the same caliber..People IMHO are just wasting there money on other rifle brands, when savage rifles cost less, and out shoot the rest.

  • @Exetrithe - Just picked my 110BA in 338Lapua, no scope or ammo yet but the hard part is over, LoL. In your 4"grouping you stated what grain weight & bullet did you use? Was it a handload or COTS ammo? If handload, pls share specs (COAL, projectile, power, primer & charge weight). I am looking to pickup a few boxes of HSM Match Sierra rounds and am leaning towards the 300grain but was curious what worked well for you. Thanks in advance -

  • @YellowMetalDriver It was a handload....250 grain HPBT Matchking, 89.3 grains R-19 powder, 3.681 COAL......this works well in the Savage and the Barrett..good luck, keep me posted

  • @YellowMetalDriver It Is great to hear that you got the Savage! You should upload a video of you shooting it as soon as you get that beast set up! Congrats!
