  • Bill Champlin on the piano and Jason Scheff on bass are my favorite singers in the whole ensemble

  • <3 <3

  • Lovely guitar moods.

  • tears is all i can say this is univerisally magnificent two fierce bands the best thanks with all gratefulness

  • PERFECT......WHAT ELSE DID YOU EXPECT

  • I think this song is more well known as a marching band classic than the original

  • Two greatest jazz-rock bands ever- Chicago and EWF, a white band and a black band! As if they have played together from the very beginning as a single big band! Full synchrinizattion, perfect feeling of the rhythm, althought there are about 20 musicians on the stage without a conductor! This is called top class in music, top professionals! And also, this concert symbolizes the unity between BLACK AND WHITE, that makes Amerca AMERICA!

  • Earth, Wind & Fire - Live Chicago Greek Theatre In The Stone ~♪~Good

    いいね。

  • Two of the tightest horn sections EWF AND CHICAGO!!

  • Earth, Wind and Fire: all (or predominantly) African-American, funk/R&B.

    Chicago: all white, Jazz-Rock.

    The fusion: stunningly beautiful.

How appropriate that they end this song with "we can make it happen."

  • I need more organ @0:46-0:53!!!

  • Nice song !! Thanks !!

  • I love the organ on this!

  • Great sound the horns really make this even better

  • Super horn section !

  • We at G&D Electric we love them all bin to all shows in Orlando Fla and Tampa Fla 1-866-975-2111 ext 1 24 /7 service work in Orlando and Fla.

  • to me if you can't play an instrument or sang you shouldn't be let on a stage or given a mic they have and you see what has happened to music today

  • From Chitown to the world, yeah!

  • PARTY!

  • Both groups are great together. So similar

  • Chicago's bassist is great but I can't stand his voice; I've seen them 3 times and EWF 5 times. That's the only bad thing I could say about these two groups though; they're two of the greatest bands of all time. I'm ecstatic that they were able to do this!

  • Greatest part of this song is 0.01 to 4.24. "Never, never my darling, Never you'll be alone, forever, forever my darling, true love is written IN THE STONE!"

  • Is Peter Cetera still with Chicago, and is he in this? I didn't see him.

  • @chj2 Cetera was replaced by Jason Scheff in 1985 who's been in the band ever since. Jason is a powerhouse of a vocalist and bassist. His voice is even similar to Cetera's. If you ever have the chance to see the band live, they're stage presence is still extraordinary.

  • @drhey19 He's Long Gone

  • @drhey19 Sadly as much as I love Chicago, I'd have to say that Jason is losing his voice. Chicago is getting worse over the years, and EWF is getting better. Lets just say it sucks to see one of your favorite bands get old. Even Cetera, who still has the voice, lacks the lungs he used to have. So Chicago, still good? Yes. As good as they used to be? No. Worth seeing? Must see at least once in your life. But not as good as the old days. Not trying to be mean, just speaking as I see it.

  • @drhey19 Pete Cetera did this show he is the white guy on mobile keyboard singing this song. Although he has his solo career he did join the guys for this show. He also can be seen singing and playing acoustic guitar on Beginnings.

  • @elmntl1 Peter Cetera isn't in this. Peter Cetera is blonder and not as tall. The musician on mobile keyboard and acoustic guitar on Beginnings is original band member, Robert Lamm. But don't take my word for it. Google his picture. Peter Cetera fronts his own band, the Electric Bad Daddies Band.

  • @elmntl1 not Cetera man.

  • @elmntl1 Nope. Robert Lamm

  • @BassmanII Wowza you bet it's Robert Lamm...this generations' crooner besides being a great Rocker!

  • @chj2 nope, gone for decades now.

  • AMAZING! Thanks for posting this! Lisa

  • You want to see "Greatest Show on Earth", nothing beats the collaboration of the greatest HORNS ever! The magic performed by both EWF and Chicago will never be matched by anyone. Long live their music FOREVER!

  • @kptrojans WORD!!!!! This is a PERFECT COMBINATION! SEAMLESS!!!!!

  • Dear Maurice, You may not be touring with the band anymore, but this is the closest thing to on old-skool EWF gig that one could ever want. Bless Chicago for bringing back the spirit! Love, S

  • Real musicians, real music!! Don't get any better. I have seen them share the stage a couple of times. Incredible show that these guys put on!!!

  • Wow.... Two Legends in one of the best songs....me from Austria...Zwei daumen hoch

  • IN THE STONE,

you'll find the reason... GOD ?

  • Almost sound like the original Phoenix horns.

  • "who's the white singer on keyboard?".....dayum! I must be getting old!

  • who's the white singer playing the keyboard?

  • @sonolaziapina Robert Lamm on keytar and Bill Champlin on stationary keys.

  • Love it even if the bass player is on crack lmao XD

  • OK THEY ARE GREAT. BUT I'D RATHER SEE THEM WITH THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS AND PERFORM SEPARATELY.

  • Thank GOD for YouTube for bringing us this old school music back into our lives -

i am seeing great stuff i never was able to see before this.....great show and two great bands i grew up with - ...... made my day seeing this ......... keep it coming !!!!

  • If only Maurice were here. Kind of makes me sad to not see him here. It would have been lovely to have him here too. Maurice has said that he could still perform, but he just doesn't want to. Maybe there's a little more behind the reason of why he no longer performs besides the Parkinson's which he said he has kept under control.

  • Legends !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Two Legendary Groups with Incredible Horn Sections. It sure doesn't get any Better Than This.

  • @perpetual61 you aren't kidding.

  • loved it. missing maurice white though.wonderful show

  • Who is that on guitar??

  • @pigstar25 That's Roland Batista cuttin' up on guitar...still got it. Great set...yeah, together, we CAN make it happen.

  • Saw this on PBS...Great concert!!!!!!!!!! Great music!!!! Chicago is my favorite band!!!!

  • It's a shame Peter Cetera was not there sharing in the bassline with Verdine. Will he ever reconcile with Chicago?

  • Can´t get any better than this!!! My Godddddddddddddddd this is the bomb!!!!!!!!!

  • okay ARE THESE FELLAS TOURING TOGETHER AGAIN...this is my fav song in alll the land........HOW DID THIS CALIFORNIA VALLEY GIRL MISS THIS CONCERT...

  • What an fool I am to have missed these concerts

  • Saw this in Pittsbugh, with out a doubt the best concert ever. Cold chills all night long and dancin in the isles

  • I gotta say this was a show of musical love by all of them. It looks like a lot of fun being on that stage. Most of these cats are at 60 or older. What a treat!!

  • This shows that we ALL can get along.

  • que tal espectaculo por Dios, son los mejores CHICAGO Y TIERRA VIENTO Y FUEGO

  • EPIC

  • How in the world did I miss this????

Music knows NO BOUNDRIES AND HATH

CHARMS THAT BRING US ALL TOGETHER!

  • Aren't they still touring with each other? I was pissed! My mom was going to get me tickets but she wasn't sure if I like either of them. I almost fainted when she said that! haha

  • The vocal (and brass) harmonies of both groups blend so amazingly!!! So glad to have grown up to their music, and to be around for reunions like this!!!

  • Is this concert on bluray too?

  • I've Got chills watching these two Legendary Bands together. It's absolutely Beautiful how well they Compliment eachother. It proves A point that Music knows no Color

  • Thank you for putting this videos out there. Hopefully will inspire new generations of musicians and... one day we will get back to giving awards to real music art. I had a great time listening and seeing two great bands EWF & Chicago.

  • The music was outstanding except the guitarist looked constipated on 4:02

  • LOL!! I backspaced it to that and yeah he did look like he was squeezing out something.

But, that is really an amazing song -- it really blends EW&F and Chicago styles in a pleasing way.

Anyone who sees this and isn't at least smiling (if not grinning from ear to ear) from seeing and hearing it is lost forever.

  • Don't forget The Miami Sound Machine horns as well Quincy Jones studio horns and L.A Express!

  • If your gona talk about horns..i think tower of power is pretty much at the top of the list,,they can work magic with brass..ew&f 2nd than chicago, but all in all they are all awesome performers.

  • ewf always had the strongest horns...followed by James Brown JB's..followed third by kool and the gang..

  • besides the tower of power these two bands had the best horns in music....believe that.

  • out of this world! no wonder that phil collins was eager to get these horns even for genesis!

  • Who ever arranged for these two groups to get together was a genius. They compliment eachother very well

  • I saw Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago when they were touring here in the states....They were just fantastic to watch and to hear their music was such a joy. The performance was charged with electricity and energy the whole damn time.

    GREAT SHOW ....Extraordinary ..epic !

  • I saw Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire in Denver, Colorado 2004. I have to say besides Stevie Wonder, This was one of the best concerts I have seen. (And I have been to many)

Both groups came out and jammed alone, but then they all came back on stage and performed both Earth Wind & Fire songs and Chicago songs. it was so fantastic, I can't say enough about how awesome they were!

I enjoyed it so much, that I have to get on youtube to get my fix!!! :)

  • THIS IS FUCKING GREAT! GOD EXISTS!

  • this version is good but i think i prefer the original

  • Love the warm sound of two bones in the horn section

  • Agreed....both horn sections together offer sucha fat sound!

  • @selmansax Almost like a big band....

  • Those harmonies are the closest we'll ever get to heaven on earth.

  • Insanely good song, played by some of the best cats ever in pop music.

  • Thanks for uploading this video.

  • my grandma showed me this vid at her house

i was like no way, these dudes kick ass

  • This is music. That's it !

  • bill champlin has definitely got that old man growl in his singing! awesome video, wish i could have been there

  • agree totally guys this show was da shit O for awesome love both bands may they play 4ever

  • Greatest collaboration of "horns" in music, brought together on one stage. Just amazing to see and if you got a chance to see them live together (like I did), then you have experienced the very best.

  • I totally agree with PRAYZEHYMN!

  • This is one incredible video! Both groups together on one stage...the opening and closing medleys are just insane. And to see each group share in both groups' hits is another incredible event. Nice cinematograpy and sound. Thanks for posting.
