OK then, I take back what I said in my last post :D I presumed the guy has a good reputation in Germany. I'm from Serbia, basketball is very popular here, right up there with football (soccer) so the players get a lot of respect from the people, except the ones who refuse to play in the national team because "they're soooo tired from a season in NBA", as if a NBA team is more important than a whole damn country (and a poor one it is) supporting you.

Some people fail to realize that Nowitzki's playoff stats exceed his regular season stats. He has rs averages of 23.0 pts and 8.5 rebs but is in fact one of only 5 players in NBA history to average over 25 pts and 10 rebs in PLAYOFF games. They are:
Baylor: 27/12.9
Nowitzki: 25.5/11
Olajuwon: 25.9/11.2
O'Neal: 25.2/12.1
Pettit: 25.5/14.8
Legends that didn't make the 25 pt cut: Malone, Abdul-Jabbar, Bird, Duncan, Barkley, Chamberlain

Wether you like Dirks game or not, noone with a half clue of the game would deny that on a good day, Dirk is offensively unstoppable. There are few players in todays game you could call unstoppable , Dirk is up there doing the job like Kobe, LeBron, D-Wade, Melo, A.I. and the likes. Dont fall for stereotypes just because he doesnt have the Tattoos and the gangsta attitude..your favorite Power Forward looks like a clown next to Dirk.

On that note though, I was reading an article on Steve Nash a couple of weeks ago, and when he won his 2 MVP's, Mark Cuban was quoted as saying "Why couldn't he have been an MVP when he was with us on Dallas?"

Don't say he doesn't have a good team around him, he does. ok. i still dont think he's a great player. just got knocked out of the playoffs again and he loves david hasselhoff. if he was great and really wanted to win he woulda won that title against the heat. instead he got beat four games in a row. dwayne wade and the heat took that championship right out of his hands and all he did to try and stop them was miss free throws.

Give me a break, "soft". That doesn't even mean anything. I'm tired of hearing people throw that around at a great player like Dirk and act like that's a legit insult or hindrance to his ability.
What Dirk really is is humble. But being humble doesn't make you a bad basketball player, it makes you a more respectable person. Shame on the people who insinuate that Dirk should be anything less.
