  • where the fuck is the 3 point line

  • @TheDyeDM5 I think it wasn't put in until a few years later. The 3-pt line is pretty young compared to the game itself.

  • 0:05 patrick ewing at the tip-off

  • i can understand what went through brown's mind at that moment i mean if you think about georgetown played the whole tournament wearing white so maybe for a split second his mind didnt register that they were wearing blue

  • WIthout Worthy, NC would not have won this game!!

  • Micheal Jordans Ncaa Game Winner is At 1:35

  • Micheal Jordans Ncaa Game Winner is At 1:35

  • Excellent pass at the end!

  • One shot didn't make him a beast, it made him feel confident.

  • Wait... What kind of pass was that? at 1:44. I mean... Srsly? Luls.

  • That boy had a CAREER HIGH 5 Goal tends!!

  • LOL this guy said NZAA

  • Poor Pat, he just can't ever beat MJ XD

  • nice quality! thanks.

  • remember that time that scottie pippen said lebron was as good as MJ? lol

  • jordan+worthy=greatest college tandem of all time!

  • This man, Michael Jordan has never let me down. Powermid powergrid Perigrid

  • Big Game James should've just thrown the ball up in the air with :03 left. That could've ended badly after the missed FT! GO HEELS!

  • @TaurusHeels Exactly, he had Jordan wide open on the break calling for the D*mn ball. Even then, his own ball club knew he was special and didn't want him having all the glory. He got snubed from being on the Si cover page. Worthy not giving the rock up is also another example...

  • Im a huge Jordan fan, but this shot was over rated.....yes he made the game winning shot, but it wasnt a buzzer beater or anything..NC won because of the bad pass...

  • they don't have 3 points back then..

  • where's the three point line?

  • @youtobe12127

the three point line hasn't been introduced in that division back then

  • Jordan beat ewing's team here, and later on crushed his team in the nba

  • Best Georgetown uni's ever.

  • As a freshman, MJ was hitting the biggest shot of the game. People should've realized it right then, at that moment, that this guy was gonna be amazing. It's a perfect jumper. He knew from the moment he got it, that he was gonna shoot, and that it was gonna go in. People can say Kobe this, Lebron that, D-Wade hit me with a wiffleball bat. None of it matters. MJ was, is, and forever will be the best basketball player to ever put on shoes.

  • BIG GAME JAMES!!!!!

  • wow what the fuck is this. this is how jordan won his championship. some guy throwing the ball away to north carolina player. from what ive heard jordan was a good college player... i think not. he was great in the nba though.

  • @dyzio2323 First, this was MJ's freshman year. His teammates were James Worthy and Sam Perkins who had been there a couple of years and had established themselves. Second, Dean Smith had a "team" system meaning there usually wasn't a big star player. Not that I necessarily argee with that system but that is why MJ wasn't the big name at that time.

  • @dyzio2323 He was a freshman at this time you retard.

These were his achievements in his junior year.

    US Olympic Team (1984)

ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Year (1984)

USBWA College Player of the Year (1984)

Naismith College Player of the Year (1984)

    John R. Wooden Award (1984)

    Adolph Rupp Trophy (1984)

    Idiot.

  • is it just me, or did the last shot hit off something on the ceiling?

  • could've been on the blazers what a shame

  • I have real easy ways to grow taller naturally.

    Watch my channel.

  • This would be a recurring theme for oh, the next 16 years!

And both were true freshmen no less at the time.

  • are you short, do you wanna grow taller ?

Here is the solution " Helpo Growth Formula "

  • I bet each one of them had 17 inch long Dick!!!!!

  • @FrappuccinoToronto this statement is extra gay.

  • @OntheRise231 If your mind is gay and your brain cells are well embedded with such ,,,, so i am not surprised u think everyone is just the same........ above and beyond, go and fuk yourself whoever u could be and wherever u could the fuk livin @, this is an order, :)

  • @FrappuccinoToronto go eat some rhino pussy.........

  • but wheres the 3 point line ???

  • Poor Patrick Ewing!

  • Jordan v. Ewing...similar to Magic v. Bird three years prior, as both pairs of players would become rivals in the pros. Add James Worthy and Dean Smith as head coach of UNC, and you have a tremendous collection of names and an even better NCAA Championship.

  • Comment removed

  • I bet Ewing wishes Jordan was never born.

  • No shit. Jordan totally stole his thunder. The '90s were supposed to be the Ewing Era. Ewing was suppossed to acheive the level of greatness that was acheived by Jordan and would have undoubtedly won an NBA Championship if Jordan ceased to exist. Not that Ewing wasn't a great NBA player, but he never came close to meeting the high expectations set upon him in New York.

  • This is one of the best Championship games ever with several future Hall of Famers

  • Lmao, epic fail at the end.

  • ABOVE...THE...RIM!

  • I miss and love Dean Smith. When Carolina was so dominant, and Sports illustrated did a cover on them, Dean did not allow Michael to be on the cover. He felt him being a freshman he didn't want him caught up in "hype"...if more coaches were like this then we would not have so many NBA "stars" full of themselves..Dean IS the DeanGod bless John Wooden he won more but Dean Smith knew how to shape these young men. Hence, why UNC has had more men in the NBA..maybe not all superstars, but more balance

  • @Jocosity70: I wished Dean would have set him free more. The Blazers would have had more info to make an informed decision before the 1984 draft, and they wouldn't have wasted a pick on Bowie.

  • @sptrfn Only man to ever hold MJ under 20 ppg!

  • Oh great play by Georgetown's PG right when there are only 8 seconds to play

  • the ONLY player better than Kobe Bryant

  • how many points did he score in this game?

  • so many hall of famers in this game

  • ....and do it begins

  • ncaaondemand, is 5 9, American and can dunk. Wtf you mean white guys can t jump? It s (just|simply|all)# about the training people do to get their leg strength to be high enough to dunk. For me, I personally used the training workout over at (50 inch vertical [dot] com)

  • Wow this was a great game...I can't believe he threw away with 10 seconds left

  • Esome 1980; well being that it was jordan, the ball knew not to miss, ha.

  • I watched this live

  • Jordan to Worthy damn how about that 2 hall of famers right there.

  • We are talking here about basketball man check out NBAPremium(.)tk to see what i mean ^^ This should be bookmarked for every NBA fan

  • the two best team of the 80's.this game could of went either way.

  • 1:26 James Worthy over Sleepy Floyd

  • as a duke fan the only carolina player that i love who doesnt love mike

  • @devantesworld as a fellow duke fan i'm right with you mj was the only player from unc that transcened my hatred lol and damn already he was money from jump mj takes to making big shots as one does checking the mail or opening a door NO SWEAT haha

  • @sportstalk23 Dukes ASS

  • thats about as racist as it gets right there americanhero 0967

  • james worthy!

  • Another YouTube idiot. For those of us who know basketball, understand that this game had big significance in two individual areas. The entire nation was introduced to Jordan and Ewing if they hadn't already.Even with this loss,Georgetown began to grow as a hotbed for John Thompson.Hoya paranoya was ignited and Michael Jordan's legend was born.

  • @americanhero0967 u racist bastard. ur just mad because the only sports you can play are on the wii

  • @xxstraynigger I will wait for 4 months to reply to you ...you stupid fucking cunt nigger

  • oh. i guess ur pussy father and bisexual mother taught you those words. honestly dude just fuck off and go back to ur wii

  • @xXstraybu11etsXx lolololololol

  • Ewing was dominating!

  • Jordans game winner was the birth of an era. That was dean smiths greatest team and possibly north carolina's too.

  • Lol. He GT throws it directly to NCU... looks blatent. :P

    1:46

  • jordan baby!! but worthy was sooooooo good too!

  • Fred Brown SUCKKKSSSS!!!!!

  • would michael jordan have had the career he had, had he not taken and made the game winning shot???? I honestly don't think so..him hitting that shot gave him the confidence to be "the man" and take baseketball to the heights that he did..think about that...mind=blown

  • so true!

  • WHAT! no way dude it was written for hime to be the greatest PERIOD

  • They've actually written an article over at Psychology Today specifically describing this effect, mentioning Michael Jordan's shot. Search google for: "psychology today" "heartbreak and home runs", and then go to page 3 of the article to read about MJ.

  • You blew my mind

  • @ESome1980 im pretty sure with his unwillingness to give up, he still would have had the same career

  • @ESome1980 big step for sure, but he was the kind of guy that he would take that shot again and again regardless if he missed it.

  • @hordolmer A naturally competitive guy. That mentality is great to build on, but athletes need talent to fulfill aspirations. Luckily, MJ did.

  • @ESome1980 youre an idiot.

  • @ESome1980 i dont think so...he would have still been very good. lets also not forget that he single handedly led the bulls since the year he was drafted

    mind=fucked

  • @ESome1980 uhh...no...he would have.

  • @ESome1980 he woulda been the greatest of all time regardless of that shot, it just added to the hype of him coming to the nba

  • I guess what happened with the guy who hit the game winning shot...

  • Hmm... I wonder.

  • Ewing could never get over Jordan, many times he tried, all times he failed.

    Really talented crop of players.

  • The Knicks probably should have won it all in 1994 but John Starks shot them out of that game.

It doesn't bother me though. I hated those dirty Knicks teams. I was all about MJ and the Bulls.

  • watch the georgetown bench at 1:46

  • yeah, the g-town bench falls to the floor at 1:46! LMAO! Can't believe that! So hillarious

  • that guy was really out of placed.. thats why he passed. no reason why that player should be there

  • 1:45 gave it to wrong man lol.

  • 5 goal tends?! Wow. That is just awful.

  • Hahaha... no one thought that Mr. Jordan was going to take the shot

  • I've never seen a smoother shot than the one that changed BASKETBALL forever! JORDAN 1:34

  • ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS JORDAN TO WORTHY!

  • Lotsa bonehead plays in that game though....Ewing with 5 goal tends....Fred Brown with several idiotic plays. Incredible talent in the game, but pretty sloppy.

  • Best final four ever

  • This game was NBA caliber. Jordan, worthy, perkins, ewing, floyd. Best NCAA championship in the modern TV era.

  • comparing chalmers to jordan is the biggest ROTFLOL in history.

  • Is there actually someone dumb enought ot put Mario Fucking Chalmers in the same sentence with His Airness. Dumb fucks.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah but Chalmers will never hit 28 game winning shots either.

  • by the way, chalmers was a great 3-point shooter for KU, so it wasn't "luck" as you call it......dumbass

  • lol there must be a lot of memphis fans on here.....ROCK CHALK!!!!!!

  • wow i cant even believe someone would compare the chalmers shot to the jordan one. what a dumbshit.

  • mario chalmers shot was pure luckk, yea it was better, but it was luck, if jordan had to, he COULD MAKE THAT KIND OF SHOT, so dont compare mario friggen chalmers, somebody who will never play more than 5 minutes in the nba to an all time legend

  • mario friggen chalmers starts for the miami heat DUMBASS!!!!! lmao

  • yea but u didnt know that off the top of ur head, he still sux, loser

  • Worthy definitely deserves the most credit for the win, not just cause of the "steal" but because of his overall play. however if this is jordan's freshman year, which i think it is, then that's pretty clutch.

  • Talk about a fuckup

  • i wonder how the game would have gone if patrick ewing didn't goal tend so much

  • lmao look for sleepy floyd

  • that was jordan's "hello world" shot

like Tmac dunkin on James Felton at the ABCD camp in 1996

  • Don't you just love how the media now gives Jordan credit for winning the game when James Worthy was Most Outstanding Player, scored more points, and made the game winning steal?

  • "Game winning steal"?

He had the ball passed to him.

  • Yeah, all Jordan did was nail one of the most clutch shots in NCAA history to give the Tar Heels a 63-62 lead- which turned out to be the final score. Yes, I DO love how credit was given to Jordan. He deserves it.

  • I've heard Worthy's play called a steal because of the way he played defence, which confused the ball handler enough to pass him the ball, though if you call it dumb luck, I won't try to convince you otherwise.

    Jordan - Great shot

Worthy - Great game all around, beginning to end

  • That wasn't the game winning steal they could have missed the shot regardless of the steal and still lost. Jordan won the game for his team.

  • James Worthy was a beast!!

  • classic michael
