The website is under his description. Also, I don't understand WHY WOULD PANDIGITAL MISLEAD THEIR CONSUMERS! They sell the Android based Pandigital and as you said at the end "the Android market isn't available to Pandigital yet". It is a sales tool. Totally wrong for them to do that because people buy Android for one reason and that is the APPS. So if you want apps, don't buy this tablet.

Got an RR7T20WBL1 (Nextbook 7) from Big Lots. It has Android 1.5 Any hope of updating this sucker to the 2.x versions? The update on slatedroid did let me put youtube on it, but seeing as it's still 1.5, no flash (the hardware does support flash 10, but requires a 2.x version.)

@chobbaaz one way go to sam slide and search droid youtube downloader or go to youtube then go to the video you want to see the in the top next to the home button theres the 3 lines then press it then sometuff is going to come out pick settings once you cliick it a bunch of things are going to come out make sure you check them all while there theres going to be setting were it says user some thing its going to have android iphone desktop instead of android change it desktop and there you go

Hey everybody, just go to the Pandigital web site. They now have a firmware upgrade that they say claims will make this tablet a full adroid device with access to the android app market. This only works with the 7" Pandigital Novel tablet. I don't have one of these tablets so I wasn't able to try it.

why would you want to convert it into a crappy tablet? It barely makes a decent ebook reader, but as an tablet it would just fail in all aspects.. slow, horrible touch screen and SLOW!

@metallicpail The official Android release from Pandigital stabilizes it. Screen is incredibly snappy and responsive now, especially when reading. The updated B&N Ereader application is 100% better too. However, the included marketplace, 'Slide', sucks.

this works with the white tablet to get both adroid OS 2 and keep your original ereader book program and library-go to pandital website(dont use the android sdk version)use the firemare update they just put up-download some free android apps apk and transfer them to sd card,then on the novel es file exploxer search files,scroll to apps and install-if the apps arent meant to work they just wont install but the ones that do work fine,if it bricks and reset dont work,open and pull power cord reset

@zane551 @allanaharis Hey, I was having the same problem too, until I managed to install the firmware update that was named S64N_SLSB_PDUI_PD_20101123.dat

Rename polaris_update.dat to that up there, copy it to the root of your internal card, and it should work.

@beemer540ia --pandigital offers open android firmware on their web site (link is posted here under video description) and this posted video demonstrates well. kohls has them for sixty dollars!!

Black PDN is COMPLETELY different different animal from the white PDN and requires a different firmware as well as more involved procedure (removing internal SD card). Black is android 1.5 and white is 2.0. I bought 3, 7" white PDNs from kohls on sale. None would accept the pandigital open adobe firmware out of the box or after updating the ereader firmware. I did finally succeed after installing adb then panda home and another android firmware. Have marketplace access and flash support.

@alexvarga1 it should. Are you hitting a certain button too soon or too late? try pushing power first, and in the same instant (without letting go of the power button) hit the volume plus button and hold for 5 seconds. hope this helped.
