  • @TRAINMANCW by the sounds of it, it sounds like there is no track at all...

  • Nice video.

  • No wonder the train's going slow. have a look at the state of the trackwork. Sure could use a bit of maintenance. Do you have many train wrecks over there?

  • No, but we could

  • here in bend oregon all we get is bnsf trains

  • wow slow long train

  • How many trains run through there a day on average? Amazing Video, would have l;oved to have seen it myself!

  • Thanks, around 2- 5 trains a day

  • Great video, Ervan!

  • Thanks

  • nice!

  • Thanks

  • Excellent video Ervan, with some great camera work and superb quality all round...5* Bob

  • Thanks Bob, your comments are appreciated as always.

  • how do those train crossings figure out when to drop the gate? i use to think it was a sensor a certain distance away from the crossing, but this video shows an obvious calculated time of intersection. is there an array of sensors that calculate the speed of the approaching train, and then the cross can anticipate the train crossing?

  • I still think it's sensors, but I don't know for sure how they figure out when to drop the gate.

  • If you look before the crossing on either side you will see a wire feeding into one of the rails. When a train approaches, the metal wheels bridge the gap between the two and complete the circuit. The lower the resistance, the closer the train. If the resistance slows or stops and remains constant, the signals will deactivate.

  • Thanks, for the info

  • Fel sorry for the poor cars who have to wait!

  • It did seem like they could have went faster

  • Nice video... great sound!

  • Thanks

  • Great video Ervan but the problem is with youtube I am having the same problem as every one else start stop hd is jerky don't load right you have to click hd on and off to get the whole video sure wonder when they are going to fix all their problems.

  • It uploaded fast (30 min) but then 4-5 hours to get HD not right it should take 30 min.

  • nice vid man.. kind sad to see the train was so short:(

  • Thanks, it would have been a 10 min video if was long

  • Okay, I solved the problem.

The video can't be viewed in HD.

Uncheck the HD, and it works.

  • Try later I did get it to work in HD, but it is slow to load.

  • I'm trying to watch this video, as it appears to be really outstanding.

But, the darn thing won't load!

Is it because a whole bunch of other folks are also trying to watch this video at the same time?

  • I do think it is because of that

  • NICE!!!!!!! Gotta love that K3HA hron!!!!!
