Im assuming its a verizon phone but whatever carrier it probably had carrier specific user interface on it He just flashed it with generic motorola software That is why it is vibrating then ringing not vibrating AND ringing like the carrier specific user interface supports. The outer LCD image is edited by using p2kcommander and ovewriting the image gif on the phone and editing the 275a seem so that the phone will display that image.

its not a verizon phone, its a koodo(telus) motorola w385. it isnt flashed at all. you can get easy access to anything in it if the phone is in 'test' mode. its that easy
