  • Excellent ! Yep,but Afwan’s main use IS ( you’re welcome)as reply to (shukran) thanks !,

    @Gam3r20

I don’t agree! standard Arabic is much more important than slang words,

Simply, if non-native person learnt the Egyptian accent ,he wouldn’t be able to communicate with other Arabian people who use different slang words but if he learnt MSA,he would communicate with ALL Arabians! Although we speak with different accents but We read, write and even speak with standard Arabic in TV shows AND OTHERS!

  • U are really good!!!

U should make more videos. Ignore what these ignorant people say!!! Shukran!!!

  • Be careful with the dialects, but otherwise very good. That is a very old way of saying "I love you," and you might get funny looks. Ana behebak/behabik is more modern.

  • Correction.

My Arabic language is poor : لغتي العربية ضعيفة

  • Nice!I want to learn Arabic from you!

  • Also I think u guys should learn the (slang arabic) which used in daily life

    you'll need it ^_^

  • It looks like you dressed up as Ken for Halloween! Useful vid, btw. Thanks. But seriously, stay away from tanning salons and makeup.

  • google the name Wolfgang Priklopil

  • afwan in Egypt is "you're welcome" so you might get weird looks....

  • @dena81 yes, and he should replace it by (Al-affu)

  • Thanks! kebiir help

  • @FaPnyc kebiir = big, u can't use it here, i'm not sure of what you want to say, i guess u wanna say (much help) then in arabic it has no literature meaning so it gonna be (help ketiir) and help = mosa'da

  • you are so helpful with these phrases thank you for sharing them.

  • @alnagham Hi there! Well, I don't agree with you because the formal Arabic is still used in news, progrmas, newspapers, books...etc. Also, for those who want to learn Arabic just to read and understand the Quran, I think it is better to learn the formal. In addition, Arabic has a lot of accents which are very different, so this will confuse learners, which accent should they learn in order to be able to contact with all Arabs? :) The Shakeperean lang is not used at all now, I think!

  • @alnagham I see! :)

  • @alnagham

    may u not use it

Because its our language and we r proud of it ........

anyways each people in this world have language use it love it

    proud of it

    like u and mooooooooooooooore

  • @salaam2012

Lol. At first appearance, what you wrote looked intimidating. Then I translate it, and it's all nice. =]

  • hahahhahahahahhahahaa

  • @golesoorati he made an entire video dedicated to all the pol leaving "cute" comments, and at one point he broke out in tears, he really doesn't like it. Stop calling this kid cute.

  • @golesoorati don't call him cute.

  • Ur pronunciation is off, but it is pretty hard if you hadn't grown up hearing it being spoken. Plus you look like a Ken doll.

  • Me gusta el idioma arabe, gracias por el video.

  • Why does this look like it's from PBS in the 70s?

  • ken?! :)

  • Did you abroad in study in the Gulf/do speak khaleeji dialect?

  • THank you The SUblime agent2 this video is the best.. finally I found a video that I enjoy...

Out of the subject.. you look like tyler swift brother.. Thank you again...

  • He looks like a barbie...

  • thats good

  • he's from outer space

  • Wow, I saw your skin care videos, I didn't know you speak Arabic! Quite impressed! Good job!

I am curious have you ever read the Quran in Arabic? It is the most powerful book on the face of earth! can you believe millions of Muslims from age 7 to 70 memorized the whole Quran word by word! And the most of them dont even speak Arabic!

    Amazing!

  • انت بصراحه مبدع للغايه

  • you're good! i am impressed :)

  • Afwan in general means "you are welcome" but sometimes means "i'm sorry" and for "my arabic is poor/bad" you say "arabiyati da'efah" it is much easier.

  • afwan means your welcome, if you say that in egypt they're gonna look at you like, "what did you do for me?" lol. Also if you don't understand something or you couldn't hear them you can just say "asif/asfa" in question form. Also if you don't understand, you can just say "mish fahem/fahma" meaning "not understood" NEVER say "la' fahem" it doesn't make sense lol, "mish" means "not" so "not understood". Besides that your good. And for "I love you" its Bahebak/ik.

  • Great job

  • Thanks, very nice!!

  • Hey!

  • Nice vid =D

  • Good

  • 'afwan can also be used for "excuse me"

  • @celebsadoptme Right, I should have put that instead. But "I'm sorry" as a question is kinda the same. Thanks! :D

  • @TheSublimeAgent Hey man, your arabic is really good. I am an arab and you know more than me much more.

  • @TheSublimeAgent keep up the good work

  • Great!!

The pace of the video is perfect. I can easily follow along :)

It's also very clear and I appreciate hearing each phrase repeated. Lovely video, Michael!

  • @PutYourFaceOn Thank you very much. I am trying to figure out how to teach Arabic better in each video. Hopefully, I will be able to get it down soon :D Thanks so much for watching by the way...I will work on going slower and repeating :D

  • @TheSublimeAgent Hi again Michael, I hope my previous comment wasn't unclear, as I was trying to say that the speeds and repetition of phrases are just fine! :D I couldn't have asked for more from a video on teaching a language. :)
