I was so glad that Dr. Firestone discussed Native American Oral tradition in regards to this theory. I was also saddened that he had to defend those Native histories as being reliable before he could go on... when will people begin to realize that Native Oral tradition isn't the same as typical story telling... it's a cultural way of passing on important social developments and historical lessons onto future generations!
There are a lot of small butterfly shaped lakes in Pennsylvania. If you look at the shapes and determine from which direction it came from you will trace it back not centre, but at least epicentre of impacts.
There are some parallels between this hypothesis and the Perigee-Zero conjecture, especially in the area of a Lake Michigan <> Carolina bay scenario. Google: perigeezero michigan carolina bay
