  • A good attempt. We (you and I) are "Tuatha Dé Danann" When you translate the Irish legend properly to English you see it is a description of the Irish creation myth. The "Tuatha Dé" are "Complete" people with all 3 aspects (Spiritual, Mental, and Physical) to make a complete person

The translation of Tuatha Dé Danann as "peoples of the goddess Danu". Old Irish tuath (plural tuatha) means "people, tribe, nation"; and dé is día, god, goddess, Danann of the realm of Danu

    Is fearr ádh mór leat

  • @WyzDat A poem in the Lebor Gabála Érenn says of their arrival:

It is God who suffered them, though He restrained them

they landed with horror, with lofty deed,

in their cloud of mighty combat of spectres,

upon a mountain of Conmaicne of Connacht.

    Without distinction to descerning Ireland,

    Without ships, a ruthless course

the truth was not known beneath the sky of stars,

whether they were of heaven or of earth.

  • would not stop riding her!!!

  • you are hot babe.thats for ac ni thuieann na piseogai na stair muintear na heireann

  • I love Ireland...and I could listen to you talk about it all day

  • who is finn ma cool

  • Spunk on those legs.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • BULLSHIT

  • "Do not turn off the lights while in the dinner table, there will be one less person sitting on the dinner table by the end of the year." I didn't get that, can someone explain this for me?

  • @Marvisification I take it as in by the years end someone will die! I've been born and lived in Ireland all my life and i've never heard any of this stuff! I learn what a leprechaun was from an American! Why is it only foreigners talk about this stuff?

  • @FieldMarshalRommel23 Really? I've heard of fairies, they supposely could replace people with fairies, and in order to retrieve that person (from the fairy realm) you would have to kill them. There is definetly proof it happened and was a horrible folklore that people have been killed unfortunately. I've heard of banshees, leprechauns, black cat, mythical creatures that dance/hang around trees, the giants causeway and its myth.

  • @patsybob The only myth I heard about in Ireland was off the Banshee, it seems only people outside the Republic are interested in these myths apart from historians and the like!

  • @FieldMarshalRommel23 Yeah, depends on your family and friends. Banshees are usually found in kids ghost stories! Also the area you live in, people know of the old legends around the area and tell you a tale!

  • Adrian is sexy. But she needs more personality ..

  • have you thought of looking up on welsh syperstions and hitory ?

trust me u will like it. from fflamadwy2009

  • Banshee, from gaelic bean-sidhe, women of the fairy mounds. In Brittany she was called Bandrhude, a dryad of death. Identified with the Morrigan an Irish goddess trinity, who summond her children to death. Some say that the nocturnal call of the Bean-Sidhe was the shriek of the Loon bird, a bird sacred to the moon goddess Luna.

  • the banshee only comes to those of the old line of kings O, Mc, Mac, If you hear it its a death in the family if you see it its your death its not really feared in ireland its only letting you know your times up and its time to join those that have gone before (How do i know this this is what i grow up with in a small rural town in Co.Offaly Republic of Ireland.) americans should at least ask a irish person the stories or do a little research first and not take the first thing said as gospel

  • well done....i really enjoyed that adrian!!!

  • now let me just say something i was there when the first leprechaun was born and its just a drunk miget with a top hat :)

  • Oh God if she is gonna do something on Ireland would she ever learn how to say Ireland proberly!!!!!

  • I am Irish and know quite a bit about Irish history and mythology. Reading these posts I am annoyed by the negativity afforded to those ex pats who are trying to embrace their heritage. So what if they do not get everything right? They are still Irish people and at least they are doing their best. better than they ignore it. To all first born Irish people I suggest we relax and stop being so snobby about prenunciations and errors. Cein mile failte those who take interest in your mother country

  • @thedirtyfecker I am Black Irish, my parents came to Ireland from Nigeria. Where I live in Dublin most people are ethnic minority now. We are the new Irish because in 30 years no one group will be in the majoirty its a fact.

Ireland will be a truly modern multi-enthic rainbow nation.

  • @thedirtyfecker I know that pisses me off, there not true patriots if they think they are. A real patriot knows his or her history.

  • So adorable Adriane! :)

  • I will fuk dis girl

  • irish girls are so special!

  • i would love to fight a leprechaun

  • The Farie being short is a modern view of them that has been corrupted with the modern view of a leprechaun. Neither the Farie Folk nor leprechauns are tiny figures. A leprechaun is generally seen as an old man while the Farie are just like us, but fairer. Also, she keeps pronouncing "tuatha" wrong. A Banshee has no relation at all to the Farie, bar her name. Also pronounced Fionn, not Finn. This is just a video on popular mistakes of our Folklore and is quite insulting.

  • "the irish are really well known for their ability to spin a colourful yarn. " wtf

Éirinn go deo.

  • Irish words arevery tricky to pronounce, especially if you're not from Ireland. Just curious, Irish people, how is she doing with her pronunciations?

  • @Crewmannumber6 she was actually doing okay though i think it was her accent ..

  • @Crewmannumber6 I Gcoir Meiracanahch, níl sí ró dána

  • @Crewmannumber6 Not great. The majority of the pronunciations were wrong and a lot of the information incorrect.

  • Thank you

God bless poland & the polish people!!

  • @WOLFGANGER666 is it the superior Irishman's fault you were gang raped by your daddy, uncles and granddaddies. Oh, I forgot, you cannot rape the willing! No doubt, you were a willing participant, since your kind is like that! Oh, and stop licking your own pussy in public! No Poll can defeat an Irishman or an Irishwoman! It’s not possible since you are too busy fucking your own kin to attempt something so impossible. Ireland is THE holy land!

  • I'm in love with Adrienne

  • interesting myths and legends

  • OMG MY NAME IRL IS ADRIAN

  • Check out "The banshee lives in he handball alley" on you tube. That is Ireland today. i live there and i know these kind of young people. LOL. bobfromcork

  • Oh and it the 7th son of a 7th son!

  • Thats wrong about a the cat, a black cat is actually good luck. Or at least thats what I have always been told. Its also bad for a hen to crow anywhere or a woman to whistle anywhere.

  • @michealomainin Doesn't stop me. ;}

  • @michealomainin A black cat is considered bad luck most of the time. If it was born on your land is when its considered good luck!

  • @imastupidblonde68 Not in Ireland, its always good luck!!

  • @michealomainin those are mostly Christian myths about the black cat being a sign of evil and witchcraft. Druids were never witches. Witchcraft and Wicca are not Celtic in any stretch of the Imagination! The Irish Celts valued women (as well as men) who could whistle, especially if they could whistle like a songbird, and not just a high pitched sound coming from one's lips. If you could imitate nature, in some way, you had a gift, which could elevate your social status.

  • @CahanTiarnan Its bad luck if a woman whistles.

  • Im Irish & all of this is completly true great job :)

  • oh we're not making superstitious tales up. it's all the truth!

  • i thought banshees told people disturbing things that they don't want you to hear so fuck this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GOGETTERKAMIKAZ11111 Where did you hear that rubbish?

  • @GOGETTERKAMIKAZ11111 There is more to meet the eye when it comes to the Banshee! If you hear her, someone you know WILL dye, but it's not all bad news. Death is not to be feared. On the other side of this veil of life is another veil of life to live and die in. Eventually, if you chose, you will be born back here. It's called the circle of life, or Reincarnation! (It is almost impossible for a human to reincarnate into anything but another human of your own sex).

  • At last, one video wearing black pantyhose! :)

  • I think it's Americans who believe in Leprechauns, not us Irish. When I was 10 years old I was on holidays in South Carolina when an adult man actually asked me if they really existed! I casually told him yes, they did, but they're just pests and are forever eating our cabbages.

So there's only *one* fact in this video: we *are* natural storytellers!

  • Since Rachel left, Adrienne is my new girl friend..she's a hottie, and nice tat on the shoulder, very modest and sexy at the same time.....

  • Damn a lot of myths came from Ireland.

  • You,ve very good pronounciation of the words.

You should also look at Halloween or Oiche Samhaina ( eeeha how in a)

  • They have, the information that they give for it is amazingly accurate! By the way it's spelled Samhain.

  • @Freakgrl04 No your spelling is correct but you are spelling the nominative case. In fact, my spelling is wrong as my Irish is rusty . It should have been Oiche Samhana, which means the "Night/ Eve of Samhain" the festival of Autumn. Samhana is the genetive case. Irish is a bit like latin

  • @johnjoins actually its ''oíche shaimhna''

    i speak gaeilge ;)

  • @iiVermillion Táim brónach, ach níl fhios agam céin saghais gaelge a labhrann tú, ach is iad "Oiche Samhain" na focla ceart.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, it's both. One is just used in a different context.

  • @Freakgrl04 Actually, the true spelling is "Samain" There was no "h" in the old Irish Féile name. I suppose you pronounce it "Sam Hain" instead of Sow-Inn too eh? At least learn a little bit of old Irish before misinforming us about the "correct" spelling. That said though, the true spelling is in Ogham, which most computers do not support, so we have to settle with what we have. (pity).

  • @CahanTiarnan Just one thing to point out. There is no H in the old spelling because there is technically no h in the Irish language. It was brought in so that others could learn to pronounce our words. I do the language itself and Folklore in university so I should know.

  • @HyperMilton Yeah its actually sidh, or similar, right?

  • @CahanTiarnan

You are almost right. While there was no 'h' in the word Samhain, the word did carrya silencing dot (buailte)overhead the 'm' in order to differentiate between the two versions . This was necessary because the Gaelic alphabet had only 17 letters and need to be embellished by 'buailte'' agus 'fada' to give them contextual

meaning. You need to be a natural speaker to appreciate the nuancing. slán agus go n'eirí an bóthar leat

  • Here's a video suggestion.

Can you please make a video about the most beautiful women in all history? Helen of Troy etc.? Women so beautiful that wars were started over them? Women so beautiful they ruined men's lives? Adrienne seems like a good person to do such a video.

  • good video but tuaithe is pronouced too-hah! its true, we avoid fairy forts completely. huge companies have refused to build their buildings in my location due to the presence of fairy forts in the fields.

it is bad luck to break anything in the fairy fort. they`l punish you by taking your children, shapeshifting to trick you etc.

the banshee can only be heard by 5 families in Ireland also, my family being one. aparently people confused the mating cry of a female fox for a woman wailing.

  • Ah i forgot the Giants Causeway story, remember being told it as a child, thanks Adrienne :)))

  • very interesting.thanks!

  • i just was ireland lol

  • very informative thank you

  • I'm Irish...and I can tell you that the fairy hill thingy has died out but we still keep clear of them. As one of the hills were leveled for building. and all of the Builders we injuried and one Died. This has happened more then once. So hill's were made kinda of land marks.

  • That is a hot dress and the pantyhose are hot too

  • shes my GF!

  • more videos in bikinis

  • WOW! Some of these superstitions are similar to Mexican superstions. The crowing hen and black cat are the same belief in Mexico. The leprechaun is similar to the "Duende", which is a small person that is mischeivous, but invisible to the human eye. The only way to get rid of him is to leave a bottle of tequila or any other kind of alcohol over night. It was fun hearing all those myths and superstitions growing up. Grandma told me all those stories.

  • You're delicious!!!

    More bikini!!!!!!!!!

  • i love you Adrienne

  • I wonder how much they get paid to do these videos?

  • Wait, so leprechauns are tricky, they change your words around, and they grant you wishes? Sounds like some politicians.

  • I was thinking my 4 year old, but yeah, my congressman would work too.

  • @Rainman4051 excellance fact, keep it up

  • sexy legs

  • Mmmmmm adrianne

  • I saw a movie called "leprechaun" many years ago...that little feller was a mean little bastard.

  • I saw a movie called "Leprechaun" many years ago...the best I remember,he was a mean little bastard.

  • Interesting topic,I learned a lot.

    Adrienne is looking amazingly hot.

  • Forget those who say they don't like the stockings. The stockings, and the model wearing them, are hot!

  • Thank you!!! Not many people understand the irish superstitions! (I didn't actually know about the whistling girl! And I'm a superstitious irishman)

  • Great vid...

    Love Irish vids!

  • next time wear the same dress but leave the stocking home

  • 5 stars for the hot little outfit. Just thinking what I'm thinking could get me locked up in several southern states!

  • *****

  • Are you irish Adrienne? would u like... Oh I can't say it. I respect you to much to be crude . No matter what you are wearing, you are beautiful.

  • 5:12 I see vagina!

  • Adrienne, we can tell by the increasing tightness of your outfits that you are getting more and more confident as a sexy onscreen model.

This probably sounds ridiculous, but I'm very glad to be alive at this moment and watching Adrienne's ascent to the top of the hotfactsgirls order. I bet she has the highest average rating of any hf gal yet, including the beloved Rachel.

  • Widershins: great video you rivet my interest yes both ways.

  • hot

  • would have been hotter without the black stockings

  • But after this weekend's phenomenal budweiser commercial, this video just seems so PBS.

The opaque tights are going to lose you a half a star, I bet.

The next time you wear the leg burqas you might want to play it safe by getting some acryclic nails.

  • @drakschumann I just want to apologize for the obnoxiousness of what I said above. I was having a lapse. I didn't really mean it. I was trying to be funny but it's not funny, and it just seems mean.

The truth is (permission to speak for everyone?) we all love you and we're so grateful for all the hard work you put in to these videos.

Did I mention you look succulent?

I watch these videos more for the "hot" than the "facts", but your videos are really interesting when I actually listen.

  • Adrienne, I rate you 5 stars almost by definition. You are intensely sexy.

And I love your slinky little minidress.

  • Comment removed

  • I had a Leprechaun but he got me drunk,I past out and he got away.there tricky.lol

  • damn, if you only did have the stockings on..... what leg that would have been

  • After an ENTIRE video with you in a sweet bikini, You can't DO a dress now...MORE bikini!!!!

  • Of the most interesting facts I've heard from you guys.
